this work presents a multistage stochastic programming formulation of a wind-photovoltaic-hydro complementary system considering the uncertainties in the system. It aims to meet the scheduling requirements of the power grid and maximize utilization level of renewable energy. To solve the problem using FAST toolbox, the stochastic scheduling optimization model is linearized, which is resolved based on stochastic dual dynamic programming. Finally, the effectiveness and superiority of the applied method are verified by a case study. © 2022 IEEE.

License plate Recognition is a computerized machine that eventually detects a number plate from a given digital image. there are various operations that are enclosed with the detection of the number plate such as capturing images, locating the actual license plate, division of letters and the optical character recognition from those alphanumeric characters. Here, the major concept lies in developing and increasing the image transformation strategies where the algorithm locates the number plate by dividing each character with the help of OpenCV. the implemented is done with the help of K-Nearest neighbor algorithm in Python programming language. Some of the real-life applications where this system is used is security, detection of speed of vehicle at highways, violation of light and text printed identification. © 2022 IEEE.

this article presents a fault diagnosis method utilizing Random Forest (RF) for analyzing faults detected within the power distribution room simulation circuit. Employing the Python programming language, the study delves into a grid failure analysis system model centered around the Random Forest algorithm. the experimental results demonstrate that the random forest-based fault diagnosis model exhibits a high level of diagnostic accuracy for circuit faults in distribution rooms, offering practical value and guidance for fault detection and prediction. Additionally, the article details the development of a visual fault diagnosis system leveraging the Unity3D engine, culminating in successful deployment and practical application. © 2024 IEEE.

the paper investigates the ordinary language age limits of massive language models, with applications to the development of two types of learning tools commonly found in programming courses. We construct programming workouts and code explanations, reviewing these abstractly and statistically, using the Open AI Codex as the massive language model. Our findings indicate that the majority of the content so given is both unique and sensible, and that it is occasionally ready to use without any guarantees. While rehearsing, we discovered that it is astonishingly simple to affect both the programming ideas and the practical subjects they include simply by offering expressions of commitment to the model. Findings indicate massively generative computer intelligence models have fundamental value. © 2023 IEEE.

Large-scale distributed photovoltaic (PV) access to the distribution network has adverse effects on system operation and voltage control. this paper proposes a distributed voltage control strategy based on the projected gradient descent algorithm. the optimal voltage control problem is formulated as an optimization program, with the goal of maintaining the voltage profile of node with PV across the network. the voltage control problem is reduced to a quadratic programming constrained optimization problem. By minimizing the voltage deviation, the reactive power injection problem of PV inverters is solved by the projected gradient descent algorithm. the proposed method only collects neighbor information of PV to communicate with each other without global communication. Finally, the simulation results show that the proposed method can effectively maintain the voltage to the security operating range. © 2023 IEEE.

Explainable AI is a type of artificial intelligence which enables the explanation of learning models and states why the system arrived at a particular decision, exploring its logical paradigms, contrary to the inherent black box nature of artificial intelligence. Similarly, machine learning interpretability allows users to comprehend the results of the learning models by providing reasoning for the decisions that it has arrived at. Because of the enormous, continued success in machine learning, including statistically learning from large data, the finance world is becoming increasingly interested in this topic with more transparency in decisions to reduce risk. Machine learning algorithms with AI can shift through vast amounts of historical data to identify patterns and trends, enabling businesses to make accurate predictions about future outcomes. this paper reviews brief historical introduction about XAI, its approaches and taxonomy as well as links to their programming implementations with specific directions for finance. © 2024 IEEE.

Shared energy storage is an innovative solution for managing electrical resources. It releases stored electricity during peak demand to balance supply and demand and charges during off-peak hours to improve efficiency. A well-structured pricing mechanism motivates active participation in demand response, leading to efficient energy use and significant cost savings. this study developed a detailed operational model for an integrated energy system with shared energy storage, considering the characteristics of transferable loads, cuttable loads and shiftable loads. An optimization function was formulated to reduce daily operating expenses using a mixed-integer linear programming (MILP) method for scheduling strategies. the optimization challenge was addressed with the Yalmip toolbox and Gurobi solver, employing the branch-and-bound technique for case analysis. the conclusion showed that shared energy storage greatly improved system economics, effectively performed peak shaving and valley filling, and reduced total operational costs, confirming the effectiveness of the proposed model and methodology. © 2024 IEEE.

A new course for distance learning in imitation modelling is presented. the course includes theoretical lessons and a set of practical tasks. To consolidate the material, tests are offered after lectures. the practical tasks are step-by-step programming of charged particle fluxes scattering in inhomogeneous multilayer media. the programming language is MatLab. As a result of performing all these tasks, students get a simulation model of interaction of particles with solid that could be applied to real scientific research. Student of MPEI have already studied this course and some of them went on scientific research in the field of particle interaction with solid. © 2022 IEEE.

the article deals with the problems of modern matrix photodetectors of multilayer type. A sensor that works in both the visible and infrared range is presented. A method for calculating optical parameters by programming in the Delphi language is presented. Based on the developed program, the screening angles and edge angles of incidence of rays on the developed multi-layer sensor are calculated. the results obtained were analyzed. the developed program will allow you to select the best parameters for the operation of a multilayer sensor, as well as to implement various combinations of layers. It is proposed to implement the program in the laboratory work. © 2022 IEEE.
