Fuzz testing has been widely used for generating inputs automatically to test the stability and security of RESTful web services. To be effective, fuzzing input generation needs to provide both valid and invalid input data. One way to automatically generate fuzzy inputs to test Representational State Transfer (REST) Application programming Interface (API) is based on the data types and structures of the API parameters. However, even with such information, it is still challenging to automatically generate effective fuzzy inputs. thus, we proposed a method to generate fuzzy inputs for API parameters according to their categories instead of generating the inputs randomly. An API parameter was classified into a corresponding category according to the parameter's information first. Based on the classified category, associated rules were used to generate fuzzy inputs for the parameter automatically. the proposed method has been implemented and integrated into RESTler, a well-known open-source fuzzing tool for REST APIs. Experimental results showed that, as compared with random input generation, the proposed method had wider API status code coverage and better error detection results. © 2023 IEEE.

Computer science (CS) and especially software engineering (SE) are still predominantly male-dominated domains at all levels— education, academia and industry [4] , [6] , [7] . the impact of this very homogeneous group, involved in development and decision-making processes in CS, has become increasingly apparent. Consequently, reports of discrimination against females and other underrepresented groups in the field of CS as well as biases in algorithms have recently received public and research attention [9] , [26] , [40] . In contrast, research shows that SE benefits from diversity since diverse teams have a higher performance and collaboration as well as being more creative and innovative [8] , [10] , [37] .

With developments in artificial intelligence, computer science, and network technologies, modern confrontational scenarios are increasingly related to multi-agent systems characterized by multi-network. To reduce the effects of external factors on task execution, a task migration algorithm based on link uncertainty in adversarial scenarios is designed. Firstly, this thesis models the underlying problem as an integer programming problem, defining the optimization objectives and constraints accordingly. Subsequently, inter- and intra-network layer task migration is carried out based on gene expression programming to ensure the optimization objective and improve the load balance. Finally, experimental results demonstrate the algorithm’s efficacy in improving migration benefits and mitigating the impact of uncertainty. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

An integrated intelligent approach for solving geometric design problems is studied. A general optimization placement problem of objects with arbitrary shapes in a bounded container is constructed as a mathematical programming problem in terms of the phi-function technique. Various technological requirements (geometric and mechanical) are considered, including continuous translations and rotations of the objects, allowable distances between objects, prohibited zones in the container, balancing conditions, and mechanical strength constraints. Grouping the optimization placement problems based on the typology of the geometric design problems is provided. Solution strategies and various approaches to solve different variants of the model are discussed. the inventory control problem is a classic intelligent decision-making scenario. A good inventory policy can greatly improve the efficiency of supply chain and enhance the competitiveness of enterprises. this paper introduces an algorithm to compute the (R, s, S) policy parameters for a two-echelon warehouse non-stationary stochastic lot-sizing problem with backorder. the two-echelon warehouse system refers to a system where the warehouses are divided into business-oriented and customer-oriented two tiers, which are widely used in the real world but poorly studied in the literature. the business-oriented warehouse supplies both the business partners and the customer-oriented warehouse while the customer's demands are met only by the latter. the heuristic combines a backward stochastic dynamic programming and a greedy relaxation of the problem. A technique is proposed to convert customer-oriented sales into the replenishment demands for the business-oriented warehouse. the (R, s, S) policy parameters are then computed for product sales of the customer-oriented warehouse and total demand of the business-oriented warehouse. Moreover, we speed up the procedure by applying a convexity property and some techniques to avoid recomputation, which extends its adoptability to large-scale problems. the results show that the computational efforts remain acceptable as the problems' sizes increase. Sensitivity analysis shows that the performance is less affected by parameter settings, which represents the stability of the algorithm. © 2023 SPIE.

With the increasing integration of AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles) and Robot Arms in manufacturing systems, traditional scheduling approaches that handle them separately often lead to inefficiencies and poor coordination. To overcome these limitations, we proposes a concise method based on temporal logic and hybrid dynamic programming to optimize the scheduling of heterogeneous agent systems. By accurately modeling the state transitions and timing constraints of both AGVs and Robot Arms, and applying a hybrid dynamic programming framework, the method achieves global optimization in task allocation. the results show significant improvements in task completion time over conventional methods, offering a streamlined solution for multi-agent scheduling in intelligent manufacturing environments. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

According to INEI, 42% of rural areas in the Peruvian jungle do not have electricity. this work develops the production of automated biogas to supply CEPAP with electricity. For the development of biogas production, 84 tons/month of organic matter was used, which degrades the matter with anaerobic digestion with a hydraulic retention of 40 to 60 days, modelling the architecture of the system using SolidWorks considering the biodigester, servovalves, pressure sensor, valves, jeanbacher motor while the programming was done in TIA PORTAL to improve the behaviour of biogas production and saw through a PLC S7-1200 1214 DC/DC/DC and a HMI TP700 this allows the operator to control what happens inside the biodigester. Finally, the Jenbacher 1xJ208 engine runs on biogas, for which it was supplied with 3360 m3/month of biogas, covering the electrical requirement of 37.84 Kw/day, which will be able to supply CEPAP with electricity for 15 days. In addition to this, there is the use of biol, which will be packaged for use as fertiliser in agriculture. © 2023 IEEE.

Recently, deep learning techniques have received widespread attention in code vulnerability and vulnerability detection. However, there are some problems with current vulnerability detection techniques, firstly, because of the non-homogeneity of vulnerability categories and quantities, there are omission false positives and overfitting problems for vulnerabilities with a small amount of data. Second, the existing detection methods have limited ability to characterize the code, there is insufficient depth of characterization, does not contain all of its vulnerability characteristics or is interspersed with useless information. Finally, the current research does not use the powerful feature mining capability of pre-trained models and does not employ model fusion to increase the effectiveness of model vulnerability detection. To solve the above problems, this paper proposes a new deep learning based pre-trained model for code vulnerability detection tool VulD-CodeBERT. By fine-tuning CodeBERT, a code adaptation extension for pre-trained models developed by Microsoft, the CodeBERT model can solve the problem of not being able to learn the vulnerability patterns due to insufficient data, thus resulting in missed false alarms. the sequence output from the CodeBERT model are added to a BiLSTM network with an attention mechanism to mine the local key features of the vulnerabilities combined with the global features of the pooler output from the CodeBERT model to deeply mine the dependencies between the vulnerability statements and derive the probability of the existence of the vulnerability. For vulnerability types that are difficult to uncover captured features or the number of samples is not enough, a polynomial plain Bayesian classifier is used for detection, and finally the two models are combined to deeply mine the vulnerability features, thus solving the problem of difficult and small samples, and reducing the leakage rate and false alarm rate. In simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT) wireless networks, beamforming and power split techniques are essential for optimizing the tradeoff between energy harvesting and information decoding. In the context of multi-cell multi-input single-output (MISO) networks, where the challenge of longer distance wireless charging is added to conventional information transmission, we propose a joint optimization approach for beamforming and power splitting, while satisfying both signal-to-interference-and-noise (SINR) and energy harvesting (EH) requirements. Specifically, we propose two distinct programming models for minimizing the total transmit power, and analyze their performance trends under different SINR and EH requirements. then, a simulation study is conducted to verify the proposed models and provide insights into the design of efficient SWIPT schemes. Finally, through the simulation study, these models can be shown to have the performance benefits that can approach optimal results with fewer iterations compared to conventional optimization tools. © 2023 IEEE.
