Blockchain is a specific Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) that is an emerging technology currently disrupting various fields. the aim of this paper is to explore ways to harness the advantages of blockchain while being implemented to existing systems. A permissioned blockchain can be established through Hyperledger Fabric (HLF) that utilizes ledgers that are interacted upon by a chaincode. An HLF network was established to investigate the custom chaincode. the scenario of the project was grounded on the functions performed in a web-based property inventory management system that uses a centralized database. the chaincode in the project was written using JavaScript and *** was used to create the whole chaincode source. A channel was built between the nodes of the blockchain where the chaincode was deployed. Subsequently, to open a gateway to the network, multiple Representational State Transfer (RST) Application programming Interface (API) were created. Several gateway endpoints were tested through Insomnia, a cross-platform API client for RST. the tests performed employed various request methods (GET, POST, PUT, and DELETE) which resulted in evidence that the custom chaincode is fully functional and adheres to the OpenAPI specification. the paper concludes that it is highly feasible and advantageous to integrate a blockchain into an existing Web 2.0 system. Most functions and business logic in existing traditional systems can be reflected in a chaincode with proper planning and execution. In the future, other aspects of the blockchain network will be explored further. © 2023 IEEE.

Medical imaging (MI) is the prefatory field of healthcare that plays a vital role in the patient's clinical and medical intervention. Recent developments in MI help healthcare professionals such as doctors and radiologists diagnose patients with improved quality of MI methods such as X-ray, CT and MRI scans. the upsurge of the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) offers the latent for timely detection and classification of the disease with deeper insights. It adapts the spatial features and learns the input data hierarchically, which makes well-suited for this task. To improve the robustness of the CNN, the parameters are optimized through a nature-inspired dynamic mass balance-based metaheuristic approach named the Equilibrium Optimizer Algorithm (EOA). As a real-life implication, the suggested EOA-CNN approach has been verified by utilizing two benchmark datasets. the competence of EOA-CNN is assessed by present-day methods in terms of parameters namely accuracy, error rate, min, avg, std, accuracy, sensitivity and specificity. By streamlining the workflow, the said approach is a valuable asset conforming to the reliability to resolve healthcare imaging complications with advanced diagnostics support. this framework is being used to optimize the constraints meanwhile bridging the gaps in healthcare convenience. © 2025 the Author(s). Electronic reconnaissance system has complex structure, high research cost and long research cycle, so it needs to rely on realistic and practical simulation system to help test and evaluate. the functional level simulation system relies on the artificial setting of parameters, which can not reflect the whole signal processing. the signal level simulation system can truly reflect details of the whole process of generation, transmission and processing of zero intermediate frequency signal in the system. It is rich in detail information, but has the prominent problems of slow simulation speed and large memory consumption. therefore, the signal level simulation has high requirements for computer performance, which is difficult for ordinary computers to meet. To address the problems of insufficient details of functional level simulation and high computer performance requirements of signal level simulation in large-scale simulation scenarios, this paper designs a hybrid simulation scheme for electronic reconnaissance systems by integrating functional-level simulation and signal-level simulation. By comparing, selecting and correlating multiple granularity simulation models, a hybrid electronic reconnaissance simulation system was finally built to achieve a balance between simulation speed and simulation fidelity. © 2022 SPIE.

this paper presents an optimization study for battery storage systems in off-grid residential solar energy applications. the research focuses on balancing energy efficiency, storage capacity, and cost-effectiveness using two optimization models: Sequential Quadratic programming (SQP) and a Genetic Algorithm (GA) with a penalty function. the study compares these approaches under specific technical constraints, including usable capacity, continuous power rating, and instantaneous power rating. Results indicate that the SQP model outperforms the GA in terms of cost optimization while meeting all operational requirements. Additionally, the paper explores the potential of emerging cement battery technology, which could offer novel solutions for energy storage in future applications. While promising, cement batteries remain under development and require further investigation to assess their viability in real-world scenarios.

this study aims to explore an educational learning environment that supports students to learn conceptual modelling with the unified modelling language (UML). In this study, we call the describing models "UML programming." In this paper, we show an educational UML programming environment for science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (STEAM) related subjects (especially for Technology or Engineering) in schools, which are able to apply from elementary school to university. At first, we explain why, what, and how doing the UML programming. In this study, we use a state machine diagram for UML programming. To draw this model, the students just put some states in rectangular shape and transitions in arrow shape. Two types of educational model notations in state machine diagram are introduced. then, some advanced functions of the SRPS are described. they are an educational model editor, and management of users, learning tasks and models submitted by students. Next, two case studies with the SRPS are shown. One case study is adopted to the summer camp for 5th- and 6th-grade students. the participants were 20 students and were engaged in 4 hours workshop. We used a car-type robot with two DC motors, a one-touch sensor, and one infrared sensor connected to a micro:bit. the other case study is a formal technology class at one Japanese public junior high school. One teacher and five classes worked on UML programming for traffic lights. Each class had 20 9th-grade students. One student at this school was given a traffic light robot with three Light-emitting diode (LED) lights, a one-touch sensor, and one infrared sensor connected to a micro:bit. the study on the properties of barium carbonate in different crystal systems is play an important role for the evolution of electronic products requiring miniaturization and high performance. Here, the electrical and optical properties of BaTiO3 crystal structures with three space groups (Pm 3 m, P4mm, and P4/mmm) were systematically studied using the first-principles method. the structural are confirmed to be stable by the Born criterion the evolution energy band structures under HSE06 functional were more consistent with other theoretical and experimental results compared to the PBE functional. the band gaps of BaTiO3 for Pm 3 m, P4mm, and P4/mmm space groups up to 3.42, 3.24, and 3.26 eV and exhibit indirect semiconductor behavior. the optical parameters show that the light absorption rate and loss function of all three BaTiO3 were almost zero in the lower energy range. However, the tetragonal phase BaTiO3 with P4/mmm space group has a lower light reflection rate and higher light refractive index compared to the tetragonal phase BaTiO3 with P4/mmm and the cubic phase BaTiO3 with Pm 3 m space group, indicating its potential application value in electro-optic modulation. © 2024 SPIE.

the amount of engineering volume estimation is crucial for cost decision of regulation consumption project of construction and demolition waste. In view of the fact that the traditional tool software because of the disadvantage of algorithm model encapsulation, it is difficult to meet the data analysis requirements for regulation consumption project of construction and demolition waste, the algorithm model for regulation consumption project of construction and demolition waste is proposed based on the depth analysis of convex hull polygon generation algorithm, D-TIN model construction algorithm and triangle volume estimation algorithm, and the analysis software named as CWVMS for regulation consumption project of consumption and demolition waste is designed and developed via c# programming language based on the development platform of visual studio 2015. through the calculation and analysis of engineering example, the correctness of function module design of the CVWMS software is verified, and the proposed algorithm model is effective. the digitization data analysis tool of the volume estimation for regulation consumption project of construction and demolition waste is provided in this paper. © 2022 SPIE.

With the rapid integration of sports technology and material synthesis technology, a large number of new polymer materials with excellent performance have been applied to sports equipment. Although these new materials make sports equipment functional, lightweight and stable, the problem of poor wear resistance of sports equipment has not been solved. Graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4), due to its stable molecular structure and excellent photocatalytic properties, has been successfully applied in the fields of antibiotic degradation, imaging, drug delivery and optoelectronic devices in the past decade. this article, from the view of wear resistance, reviews the application of g-C3N4 as an additive to reinforce lubricants, coatings/films and polymer materials. the structure, stability, preparation, modification, application and the wear-resisting mechanism are focused on in this paper. this paper proposes the prospect of g-C3N4 application in sports equipment and the possible problems. © 2024 SPIE.

Aiming at the trajectory optimization problem of long-range guided rocket-propelled vehicles with multiple constraints, an improved pseudo-spectral sequence convex programming, which takes into account the efficiency and accuracy of optimization, is proposed. First, taking the change rate of the angle of attack and the bank angle as the control variables, the vehicle's dynamic equation is discretized by using the flipped Radau pseudo-spectral method, and the trajectory optimization problem including start, end, and path constraints is transformed into a convex optimization problem by using the continuous linearization method, and then the solution is obtained by using the original dual interior point method. To make the optimized trajectory near the no-fly zone or the severe weather area more accurate, the concept of the predicted separation point is introduced to subdivide the trajectory. the simulation results show that the improved pseudo-spectral sequence convex programming has high discretization accuracy and fast solution speed, and can be applied to the online use of long-range guided rocket-propelled vehicles. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

the Dye-sensitized Solar Cells (DSSCs) efficiency is closely related to the photovoltaic properties of the used (donor-π-acceptor) dye. A series of four dyes, including thiophene bounded to the Oxadiazole, forms the π-spacer group while the Cyanoacrylic acid was used as the electron acceptor group A. these two groups stay unchanged for all proposed dyes where the electron donor group D is varied. All calculations are performed using the density functional theory (DFT) and time-density functional theory (TD-DFT). the critical parameters associated with the short circuit current density Jsc and the open-circuit voltage Voc have been investigated in detail. All the obtained results show that DM2 dye is the best candidate suitable to manufacture dye-based solar cells because of the better electronic properties, low energy gap, and optimal optical absorption bung (wide absorption band of 300 to 900 nm for the adsorbed dye) in neutral and doped states. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.
