A country's economic destiny is heavily influenced by the contributions of its women. Instead of being confined to the house to take care of domestic responsibilities, women are now able to work and raise a family while still contributing to economic growth on an equal basis with men. In the past several decades, there has been a lot of effort and money put into increasing the number of women who get hired and stay in their jobs. Sexual harassment of women in the workplace and other settings has come to light more often in recent years, raising important concerns concerning the gender-specific effect of this kind of discrimination on women's lives. We believe that technology can play an important role in developing a solution to alleviate women's daily annoyance. LoRa-based devices may be used to improve the security of women, according to this report. In this work, we present a method for programming such devices such that they can analyze a person's unique temperature and heart rate patterns and determine at what point to sound an alert. Large-distance transmission is made possible by the LoRa physical layer, which serves as the primary communication interface. Additionally, an Android app has been built to indicate the position of the pushed node and to give navigation routes to the relevant security personnel in order to visit that node. It was decided to evaluate energy use and cost. According to our findings, our network is far less expensive and power-hungry than the alternatives. © 2022 IEEE.

With the development of very large scale integrated circuit (VLSI), verification becomes an indispensable step to ensure the normal operation of digital circuits. In the face of increasing complex large-scale digital design, universal verification methodology (UVM) has become the mainstream verification method due to its scalability, standardization, portability and other characteristics. Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is an advanced multi-carrier transmission technology, which is widely used in the field of wireless communication. this paper presents a verification framework of OFDM baseband processing system based on UVM. UVM generates random excitation and passes it to our design, and automatically collects the results and compares them with the reference model to achieve sufficient verification of the system. Simulation results show the final functional coverage reaches 100%, demonstrating the validity of our verification framework.

Rust is an emerging programming language that provides both memory and thread safety like Java, and runtime efficiency like C/C++, by introducing a number of novel language features such as ownership, borrowing, explicit lifetime, and unsafe. these novel features make Rust a promising safe system language to build infrastructures in AI for science, where both security and performance are indispensable. However, there are no prior empirical studies of Rust language feature usage at the ecosystem scale, and such a study is important not only for guiding future language evolution but also for identifying research opportunities and challenges. In this paper, to fill the gap, we present the first comprehensive empirical study of Rust language feature usage at the ecosystem scale, by analyzing all registered 9,683 science-related crates in the Rust community's crate registry, with a novel tool RInsight we created. the empirical results give important insights, such as: 1) the dominated language features in all crates are functional ones (66.67 % ), which presents evidence that Rust is essentially a functional language pragmatically, but does NOT support the claim that “Rust is a safe dialect of C”; and 2) the unsafe feature is not used at an as high ratio as the prior study reported and is continuously dropping since 2018. We present the implications of these empirical findings and future research challenges to promote future research.

Phishing attacks have become a widespread and intricate threat, targeting individuals and organizations through deceptive URLs to steal sensitive information such as login credentials and financial data. these attacks exploit human vulnerabilities and frequently employ advanced techniques like URL obfuscation and social engineering to evade traditional security measures. Despite ongoing advancements in cybersecurity, phishing remains a persistent issue due to its adaptability and the continual evolution of attack strategies. this paper introduces a comprehensive phishing detection system that implements both rule-based analysis with machine learning models to address these challenges effectively. the system utilizes YARA rules to detect known phishing patterns and integrates real-time threat intelligence feeds for up-to-date phishing data. Additionally, it employs machine learning algorithms to enhance detection accuracy and adapt to emerging threats. the system is further strengthened by its integration with a password manager, providing real-time URL validation and alerts to users during their online activities. this multi-faceted approach aims to improve the accuracy of phishing detection and offer robust protection against the increasingly advanced methods employed by attackers.

In order to solve the problem of network slicing resource allocation strategy of the core network on small time scale, a MADDPG based intra-slice network resource allocation algorithm is proposed. Firstly, the inter-slice resources are planned. Secondly, agents are configured for different types of slices during intra-slice resource allocation, and reward functions related to agents of different types of slices are set, so that the intelligent body can better learn the preference degree of different types of slices for resources. then, according to the application scenario of the slice, the objective function and constraint conditions conforming to its functional characteristics are set respectively. Finally, the actor network and critic network are constructed with three types of agents and their corresponding reward functions, and resources are allocated within the slice through training. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can effectively improve the average reward value, resource utilization and system throughput.

Microfluidics is the theory and practice of fluid management in microscale flow channel assemblies for advanced applications in clinical, pharmaceutical and environmental analysis and nano- and biotechnology. Electroanalysis, on the other hand, is a potent alternative to optical detection and on integration into cheap and portable analytical devices, has been developed into routines for personal health care and intensive care monitoring, field testing of pollutants and assays for industrial biofermentation and chemical synthesis control. Work with microfludics and electroanalysis, separately or in a functional fusion, needs knowledge in the core subjects of STEM education. For young and eager students at schools and universities laboratory experiments involving an affordable merger of the two techniques is a perfect chance for exposure to many modern topics in science and engineering R&D and to grasp the importance of a highly multi- and interdisciplinary approach to problem solving. For the representative case of electrochemical microfluidic heavy metal trace analysis we describe here the construction and operation of a low-cost microfluidic detection system that can be considered as a component of an exciting STEM training, especially in developing countries with tight educational budgets.

From the perspective of constructing the classification model, this this study aims to analyze the sales impact of different brands of electric vehicles using weight coefficients and optimize sales strategies, including joint venture brands, independent brands, and emerging brands. Indicator features and customer personal characteristics are key factors in purchase decisions, but collinearity issues need to be addressed when constructing classification models. Data processing using a variance expansion factor algorithm is employed to mitigate collinearity effects. By utilizing Matlab programming and a particle swarm optimization-support vector-recursive feature elimination model, the key factors influencing the sales performance of each brand are identified. Finally, based on particle swarm optimization algorithm and SVM classification model, optimization strategies are provided for specific customers to enhance user experience satisfaction to the purchase threshold. the research findings indicate that adjusting specific indicators can facilitate purchase decisions for different customers, with corresponding conclusions drawn using artificial intelligence algorithms.

In spite of the growing of very different teaching approaches in blended learning environments, it is not completely sure which teaching elements have advanced students' learning methods and in what way these elements have given rise to advantageous outcomes in higher education. the objective of this study was to investigate how college students' perceptions of blended learning activities, the acquisition of online and offline academic knowledge, and teachers' support for learning affect the students' employment of the deep learning approach in blended learning environments. One hundred thirty four freshmen from different majors in a public university in China participated in the experiment. Questionnaires, which involved the Chinese version of the Teaching Approach Scale and the Modified Chinese version of the Learning Approach Scale, were distributed to the students. the results pointed out that the three teaching elements in blended learning environments had directly and indirectly links to the students' learning method. Providing blended learning activities toward students had an direct effect on students' online and offline learning methods. the findings suggest that the adoption of teachers' support for learning with online and offline academic knowledge via blended learning activities is functional in harnessing students' interest as well as in smoothing their way for their engagement in blended learning environments. Without teachers' support and blended learning activities, students' interest and active engagement may gradually fade away, and the three elements cannot function alone. they all are indispensable to lead to the students' deep learning methods. © 2022 ACM.

In the past two decades, the field of quantum computing has developed rapidly, is gradually able to solve some difficult classical problems. With the development of the facilities for Noisy Intermediate-Scale Quantum(NISQ), the NISQ technology addresses the existing Quantum programming languages or frameworks, suggesting that they cannot fully meet the requirements of Quantum computers. In recent years, some quantum programming languages or frameworks have emerged which claim to support the classical computing algorithms of heterogeneous quantum. However, the code is too cumbersome and redundant, and it is difficult to map the code to heterogeneous quantum classical computation while meeting the requirements of timing. therefore, a modular programming framework of heterogeneous quantum classical computing algorithm with NISQ function is proposed. the framework optimizes the quantum code and retains the quantum classical interactions that satisfy the temporal constraints. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
