this paper proposes an automatic algorithm to segment multiple objects from the initial frame of the multi-view sequence. Firstly, saliency based visual attention model is adopted in the key view of image to detect the location of objects-of-interest (OOIs), followed by the OOIs extraction based on the saliency analysis. then, the initial mask of the key view is spatially projected by the disparity value to form the ones of the other views. Finally, multiple objects segmentation is decomposed into several sub-segmentation problems and solved by minimizing our proposed energy function using bi-label graph cut to achieve more accurate objects representation. Comparing with a related algorithm on our captured multi-view sequence, experimental results demonstrate the advantage of the proposed algorithm in terms of computational efficiency and segmentation performance.

Fundamental matrix, drawing geometric relationship between two images;plays an important role in 3-dimensional computervision. Degenerate configurations of space points and two camera optical centers affect stability of computation for fundamental matrix. In order to robustly estimate fundamental matrix, it is necessary to study these degenerate configurations. We analyze all possible degenerate configurations caused by twisted cubic and give the corresponding degenerate rank for each case. Relationships with general degeneracies, the previous ruled quadric degeneracy and the homography degeneracy, are also reported in theory;where some interesting results are obtained such as a complete homography relation between two views. Based on the result of the paper, by applying RANSAC for degenerate data, we could obtain more robust estimations for fundamental matrix.

Curve matching plays an important role in many applications, such as image registration, 3D reconstruction, object recognition and video understanding. However, compared with other features(such as point, region) matching, it has made little progress in recent years. In this paper, we investigate the problem of automatic curve matching only from their neighborhood appearance. A novel descriptor called HMCD descriptor is proposed for this purpose, which is constructed by the following three steps: (1) Curve neighborhood is divided into a series of overlapped sub-regions withthe same size;(2) Curve description matrix (CDM) is formed by characterizing each sub-region into a. vector;(3) HMCD descriptor is built by computing the first four order Moments of CDM column vectors. Experimental results show that HMCD descriptor is highly distinctive and very robust for curve matching on real images.
