In recent years, the use of new technologies in the healthcare industry has substantially increased. In particular, this research study explores the potential benefits of virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR). With the use of these technologies, difficult judgments can be made by using the information and specialized expertise. Given that maintaining the health is among the most fundamental human aspirations, the healthcare industry affects every one of us. this paper discusses how advances in artificial intelligence, ARvR and blockchain technology will spur innovation and transform the healthcare sector. this research study witnesses the unparalleled growth in tailored, intelligent healthcare that is accessible everywhere at a reasonable cost when these technologies merge. the fusion of mobile healthcare and support, AR/VR for medical training, and customized pharmaceuticals based on health data from sensors implanted in the human body can give therapies that are specifically tailored to a person’s genetic makeup. the acceptance and integration of VR in the healthcare industry are also discussed in this paper. It examines the development, the benefits, and the drawbacks, and offers viewpoints on the potential expansion and effects of these technologies in the future. the use of AR and VR in healthcare services may lead to problems with huge data availability and trustworthy sharing. Some systems that use software-type algorithms to simulate human cognitive processes in healthcare decision-making handle the privacy of a patient’s data. the dentist and the support staff oversee managing data, which carries a risk of data privacy and security violations. this study examines how the use of VR and AR is allowing decentralized care, personalized treatment, and a new generation of intelligent detection and prevention.

Human faces can reveal not just the human identity, but even demographic characteristics such as ethnicity and gender. Recently, the researchers get the advantages of Deep Learning techniques in developing face recognition systems implemented on both 2D and 3D face datasets. However, the usefulness of Deep learning in analyzing facial features of 3D faces gender, and ethnicity are examined in literature with only three main perspectives: data representation, augmentation, and comparison using the several commonly used format of 3D face representation such as depth images, point clouds, normal maps, triangular mesh, and horizontal disparity images. Many algorithms are implemented by authors on popular 3D datasets including FRGC v2, 3D-Texas, and BU3D-FE. In this work, we highlight the advantages of using the deep learning 3D representation in "race recognition" approaches and refer the researchers to the important related works in this field by comparing them according to their distinguishing metrics and invariant conditions support and the used techniques and datasets. © 2023, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

As the global energy internet infrastructure advances and electricity market reforms progress, short-term electricity load forecasting has become increasingly vital for the scheduling of the power market. Given the evident daily and weekly periodicity in short-term electricity load, this paper introduces a novel time encoding approach based on Periodic Encoding (PE). In order to comprehensively explore the temporal characteristics of electricity load and the influence of external meteorological factors on it, a short-term load forecasting model is proposed, which combines Time Convolutional Network (TCN), Feature Selection Network (SFNET), and Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory Network (BILSTM). Firstly, the electricity load data is encoded using the PE-based time encoding method. Subsequently, input features for the forecasting model are selected using Pearson correlation coefficients and maximum mutual information coefficients, and a feature matrix is constructed using a sliding window approach. Finally, the SFNET is employed to extract information from different input features in the load data, while the BILSTM network extracts temporal features and performs the forecasting. Using the real data of a place in Australia as an example, the prediction accuracy reached 96.82%, and compared with the common load forecasting methods, the accuracy was the highest, which verified the higher prediction accuracy of the proposed model.

Keyword spotting (KWS), as an essential part of human-computer interaction, is widely used in mobile device terminals. However, the hardware resources of these devices are usually limited, so running on these devices requires a small memory footprint. However, previous works still need massive parameters to achieve high performance. In this work, we propose a context-dependent and compact network for small-footprint KWS. Firstly, to reduce the running time, we apply a sub-sampling technique in which hidden activation values are calculated in a few time steps based on time delay neural network (TDNN). Secondly, to take full advantage of the global context information of the feature maps, we utilize a squeeze-and-excitation block to emphasize the most discriminating area and distinguish the speech and non-speech regions. Finally, we conduct extensive experiments with the publicly available Google Speech Commands dataset and the private Biaobei Chinese Speech Commands dataset. the experimental results on the public dataset verify that the classification error rate of our method reaches 3.56% with only 11K parameters and 322K multiplications, which achieves state-of-the-art performance with the fewest parameters and multiplications. © 2021 IEEE.

As confusing as the world is right now, there are not that many options but to live through it. With safety belts fastened and survival kits prepped, we’re going to keep on rolling’ into 2022. In the upcoming years it is going to be mandatory to wear masks to protect each and everyone. People who don’t follow the safety protocols are a big danger to themselves and to the society. To address this issue we have come with a device called "CovidProc", which are software systems which can be implemented using various hardware products like cameras, speakers, etc. to check if the people who aren’t following safety protocols. So, we plan to do our device with the help of AIML algorithms. © 2022, IFIP international Federation for Information Processing.

the study of epithelial tissue is critical for the pathologist to determine its grade and the presence of various diseases. Proper segmentation of the epithelial layer plays a significant role in different disease detection like Oral Sub-mucous Fibrosis (OSF), multi-class grading of Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma (OSCC), and Epithelial Biopsy Image Classifier, etc. In this study, our main aim is automatic segmentation of epithelial layer from pathology images with is very helpful for computer-Aided Diagnosis (CAD) based system. Here author used particle swarm optimization (PSO) and k-means clustering (KM) methods in CIElab color space for oral epithelial layer segmentation and also used different color spaces and its component for comparative study. Experimental results showed that the CIElab color space gave the best result among all other color spaces. the segmented images are compared with ground truth images and PSO with CIElab color space outperformed all other methods with an accuracy of 98.43%.

Intelligence refers to the ability to learn and apply knowledge in new innovative situations. Recent computational and electronic advances have increased the level of autonomous semi-intelligent behavior exhibited by systems, so the new terms like ambient intelligence and pervasive computing started to emerge. Artificial intelligence (AI) and ambient intelligence (AmI) are inextricably technology cooperation agreements with each other. Artificial is something made by human beings and ambience is something that surrounds us while ambient intelligence assumed to be something artificial. Pervasive computing is the growing trend of embedding computational capability into everyday objects to make them effectively communicate and perform useful tasks to satisfy end user’s resource needs. the paper provides a bibliometric information using VosViewer software about the present trends of ambient intelligence and pervasive computing technologies using Scopus and Web of science databases, which will help researchers getting ideas toward research development in these domains. It also highlights a comprehensive study on ambient intelligence and pervasive computing covering the application areas that are dramatically affected by them in today’s world. Undoubtedly, both clean technologies have strongly influenced the recent developments in the past few years. In the context of rising cybersecurity threats within software supply chains, the precise classification of software package functionalities is essential for mitigating risks posed by the exploitation of third-party libraries in web-based systems. this paper introduces a novel approach employing a Heterogeneous Information Network (HIN) and the Metapath2Vec algorithm to elevate the security and reliability of software package classification within the NPM repository, which is crucial for web application development. Our methodology capitalises on intricate package dependencies and metadata to not only enhance classification accuracy but also effectively utilise the complex and dynamic relationships widespread in web ecosystems. Comparative analyses underscore that our framework outstrips conventional methods such as DeepWalk and Node2Vec, with substantial improvements in precision and recall across a majority of functionality classes assessed. this research significantly advances web information systems engineering by providing a robust framework for the dynamic analysis of relationships and functionalities in software packages, thereby strengthening the security resilience of web-based software ecosystems. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Software developers must adhere to privacy regulations and apply privacy principles. However, developers may not be privacy experts and hence are likely to encounter issues when choosing, applying, and implementing the corresponding Privacy-Preserving Computation (PPC) techniques. As a result, these methods may be misunderstood or even not applied. In order to mitigate these issues, we must first identify and understand them in detail. To this end, we have conducted a study on the popular developer Q&A website Stack Overflow. Using manual coding, we have extracted themes and issues related to PPC techniques and discussed by developers. Additionally, we have analyzed and discussed use cases and how they align with current research. Our results confirm our assumption, showing (1) a lack of awareness and understanding, (2) complex or missing documentation, and (3) a lack of easy-to-use libraries. Based on our obtained results, we provide recommendations to educators and developers on how to address the identified issues. © IFIP international Federation for Information Processing 2025.

the world of today is highly interconnected and undergoes rapid changes. Algorithms are essential for data networks and communication systems. this study looks at how the complexity of algorithms affects network design. It focusses on the GROA (Global Routing Optimisation Algorithm), LBEA (Load Balancing and Efficient Allocation), and QKD-NS systems in particular. We aim to educate individuals on the impact of various methods on security, route completion time, and resource constraints. Based on the results, GROA creates variable paths, QKD-NS boosts safety with quantum-based innovations, and LBEA efficiently divides up resources based on what the network requires. According to the study, putting these many technologies together could lead to strong partnerships that can handle security breaches, traffic jams, and changes in the network. this study focusses on how advances in technology have led to better computer design, which in turn has made the internet safer and easier to use. the paper elucidates the application of these novel mathematical discoveries to enhance the performance and durability of data networks. these new details help communication networks improve by ensuring that they are safe and can meet today’s link standards.
