Recent advances in deep learning facilitate the development of end-to-end Vietnamese text-to-speech (TTS) systems that produce Vietnamese voices with high intelligibility and naturalness. However, enabling these systems to speak Vietnamese and English words in the same utterance fluently remains a challenge known as the code-switching (CS) problem in speech synthesis. the main reason is that it is not easy to obtain a large amount of high-quality CS corpus from a Vietnamese speaker. In this paper, we explore the efficacy of three approaches, which are based on the Tacotron-2 end-to-end framework, to build such a Vietnamese TTS system under a limited code-switched data scenario: (1) CS synthesis based on grapheme-to-syllable (G2S), (2) CS synthesis based on speaker embedding, and (3) CS synthesis based on speaker embedding and language embedding. We handle English and Vietnamese words in the code-switched input text by converting them into Vietnamese syllables using our G2S model. For the speaker-embedding based approach, we combine Vietnamese monolingual data in our dataset with an English public dataset to train a multi-speaker Tacotron-2 system. the experimental results show that adding language embedding is effective, and training with character input representations outperforms phonemes. thus, the speaker and language-embedding based approach achieves strong results in naturalness for CS speech. Besides, the G2S-based CS synthesis also has good results, with almost absolute English pronunciation accuracy. © 2021, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

As the current computer design level continues to improve, the process equipment and production line management levels are relatively stable. the intelligent and automatic 3D garage-type has shown a diversified development trend. Several garage types are currently in everyday use, including vertical lifting type, vertical lifting type, simple lifting type, horizontal shifting circulation type, channel stacking type, etc. the 3D lifting garage has a simple structure, small floor space, low operating cost, and the most extensive application requirements. However, this study summarizes the application status and development prospects of smart lifting 3D garages first. then the system analyzes the working principle and mechanical structure characteristics of the smart lifting 3D garage, analyzes the control requirements, and designs the semi-automatic control system of the 3D garage S7–1200—it including the PLC control program and the man-machine interface. Finally, the overall system control effect is verified through simulation. this study meter has superficial operation characteristics, a high degree of automation, fast operation speed, high stability, and has deep development value and application prospects in specific markets. © 2021, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Modern data centres consume a significant amount of electricity. therefore, they require techniques for improving energy efficiency and reducing energy waste. the promising energy-saving methods are those, which adapt the system energy use based on resource requirements at run-time. these techniques require testing their performance, reliability and effect on power consumption in data centres. Generally, real data centres cannot be used as a test site because of such experiments may violate safety and security protocols. therefore, examining the performance of different energy-saving strategies requires a model, which can replace the real data centre. the model is expected to accurately estimate the energy consumption of data centre components depending on their utilisation. this work presents a toolbox for data centre modelling. the toolbox is a set of building blocks representing individual components of a typical data centre. the paper concentrates on parameter estimation methods, which use data, collected from a real data centre and adjust parameters of building blocks so that the model represents the data centre most accurately. the paper also demonstrates the results of parameters estimation on an example of EDGE module of SICS ICE data centre located in Luleå, Sweden. © 2021, IFIP international Federation for Information Processing.

As the requirements for automatic speech recognition are continually increasing, the demand for accuracy and efficiency is also of particular interest. In this paper, we present most of the well-known Automated Speech Recognition systems (ASR), and we benchmark three of them, namely the IBM Watson, Google, and Wit, using the WER, Hper, and Rper error metrics. the experimental results show that Google’s automatic speech recognition performs better among the three systems. We intend to extend the benchmarking both to include most of the available Automated Speech Recognition systems and increase our test data. © IFIP international Federation for Information Processing 2020.

Reinforcement Learning (RL) becomes increasingly important in recent years as the huge success of AlphaGo and AlphaZero. However, this technique is a not a newly born research topic, which originates from the well-developed dynamic programming method. In this paper, we explore the history of RL from the bibliometric perspective for the last 30 years, to capture its landscapes and emerging trends. We conduct comprehensive assessments of the RL technology according to articles related to RL in SCI database from 1990 to 2020, and extensive results indicate that reinforcement learning research goes up significantly in the past three decades, including a total of 9344 articles covering 96 countries/territories. Top five most productive countries are USA, China, England, Japan, Germany and Canada. there are 4507 research institutes involved in the field of RL and among them the top five productive ones are Chinese Academy of sciences, University College London, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Tsinghua University and Northeastern University and Princeton University. Besides, top frequently adopted keywords with strongest citation burst are Genetic Algorithm, Dynamic Programming, Q-Learning, Mobile Robot, Wireless Sensor Network, Smart Grid, Big Data, Inverse Reinforcement Learning and Cognitive Radio, which demonstrate the emerging trends of this field. We claim the results shown in this paper provide a dynamic view of the evolution of "Reinforcement Learning" research landscapes and trends from various perspectives that is able to serve as a potential future research guide, and the way we demonstrate could also be adopted to analyze other research topics. © 2021, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Addition is the most fundamental operation in mathematics and sciences. Summation of a sequence of numbers is a common task in mathematical related calculations and problem solving. Sumudu Transform was only introduced recently but has many nice properties for solving problems in computational science. In this work, the authors shall explore Sumudu Transform in computational approach which serves as foundation to various interesting and useful applications;we shall show that Sumudu Transform is a powerful tool to calculate the summations for both sequences of finite numbers and infinite numbers. Virtual servers (VS) are built on a group of physical machine (PM) servers scattered across the globe and interconnected through telecommunication systems. It can be said that today data center is the very important role in the era of industrial revolution 4.0. Some countries that want to promote smart agricultural production rely on information technology infrastructure. the integral part of the IoT component is the network infrastructure and cloud computing. In this article, we talk about the ability to exploit virtual resources. the goal of this new technical solution is to make using computer resources more efficient and cost-effective, such as reducing energy costs. Especially, farmers like to use high technology in their farms, but the cost of renting a virtual server from data center is very high. In this paper, we use the Open Stack tool, which incorporates a proposed algorithm to ensure that these resources are provided accurately and in a timely manner, detecting any duplication or conflict, especially resources allocation to remote users. We found a way to create efficiently distributed resources, emphasize solutions to prevent deadlock, and propose methods to avoid resource shortages. © 2020, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
