A license inconsistency is the presence of two or more source files that evolved from the same original file containing different licenses. In our previous study, we have shown that license inconsistencies do exist in open source projects and may lead to potential license violation problems. In this study, we try to find out whether the issues of license inconsistencies are properly solved by analyzing two versions of a FOSS distribution—Debian—and investigate the evolution patterns of license inconsistencies. Findings are: license inconsistencies occur mostly because the original copyright owner updated the license while the reusers were still using the old version of the source files with the old license;most license inconsistencies would disappear when the reusers synchronize their project from the upstream, while some would exist permanently if reusers decide not to synchronize anymore. Legally suspicious cases have not been found yet in those Debian distributions. © the Author(s) 2017.

this paper is aimed towards studying, compiling, and analyzing the recent advances and risks of the current ambient technology that is present in modern day cars. the progression of sophisticated technologies inside cars make them an even more comfortable and entertaining place to be in especially during commutes to work, but recent security threats and distractions have been uncovered with the upsurge usage of new technologies. this study also includes a survey that senses the people's use of car technologies when driving. A recommender system in an e-learning context is a system that tries to "intelligently" recommend actions to a learner based on the learner's activity and other learner's activity on the system. this recommendation system could be an on-line activity such as doing an exercise, reading different topic articles or commenting on different subjects/topics. Recommendation systems are being used in e-commerce to suggest products to the buyer. Advertising in search engines use this to feed users with adverts based on their previous activities online. this concept can be used to build a system that recommends courses for students based on the activities they do on the system. this paper investigates techniques that can be used to create the system. It also discusses the how cognitive thinking and decision making play a role in a student choosing a particular course to specialize in. these two concepts also play a role in the development of the system.

Video streaming has emerged as an important tool for business,education,transportation and other *** study acts as a preliminary study on delivering video streaming within a mesh network such as cloud computing *** this situation,bandwidth,jitter and loss of data are still considered as serious issues to be solved with respect to great number of end users with various network characteristics and with a goal to keep the video at appropriate *** intelligent schemes to improve video streaming services have been proposed by researchers through different *** study aims to explore state of the art in intelligent video streaming schemes as a foundation for future applications of video streaming solution that is adaptive with the cloud infrastructure condition.

this study attempted to investigate to find out whether there exists a relationship between the level of computer utilization of the student-respondents and their level of achievement in mathematics. the student – respondents were the 349 college students chosen using stratified random sampling using degree program pursued as the basis for the stratification from the SSU during the school year 2013 – 2014. the study utilized a descriptive – correlational research design, used a constructed survey questionnaire as the principal data gathering instrument. Another instruments was the pre-validated 60 items mathematics achievement test taken from books which is used to measure the students achievement in logic, geometry, algorithm, mathematical analysis, probability and statistics, and discrete mathematics. the validation was conducted in order to determine whether the test items adapted from the books were suited to the level of the mathematical ability of the respondent to the students in EVSU Tacloban City and after the administration of the first and second administration of the questionnaire and the tests the correlation coefficient was computed and was posted at 0.886, which indicated that the test was both reliable and valid. Descriptive as well as inferential statistical tools were used to compute, analyse and interpret the data of the study. these statistical tools used were frequency count, percentage, mean, range, weighted mean, Pearson Product moment Coefficient of Correlation( Pearson r) and Fisher's t – test. Based on the data analysis results revealed that 1) the respondents' possess characteristics, which are present in college students enrolled in degree programs in colleges in Samar State University(SSU) Catbalogan City, Samar in terms of age, sex, average family income, etc. 2) the respondents are moderately knowledgeable as to basic computer concepts, moderately skilled in computer utilization, utilized computer on average of three times a week and u

Websites such as website *** are important sources for managing the dates of international conferences but typically require human input for updating, which can be a barrier to the effective dissemination of current information. One approach to solving this problem is to develop an automatic event calendar update system. the framework for such a system would require an information extraction method. this paper proposes algorithm for extracting important dates from web pages content regarding international conference. We selected 720 web pages from which we extracted data from the HTML structure, using rules and regular expressions.

We aim to build a framework to create a datahub portal that provides important date information for international conferences. To develop an automatic important dates calendar for international conferences, we crawl the related webpages, regardless of whether they include the important dates, and classify the pages using supervised machine learning techniques, including decision tree, k-nearest neighbor algorithm, support vector machine, and Na?ve Bayes. We found that the decision tree provided the most accurate classification results(98.33%).

In today's highly volatile and constantly changing business environment, adaptability of an organization's workforce holds key to its success. this raises the case for organizations to be agile to adapt to changing environmental factors. Considering this importance placed upon employees' agility, this paper sought to understand employee agility with respect to high performance work practices(HPWPs) with mediating role of satisfaction and commitment of employees. Results obtained via survey questionnaire from services industry of Pakistan reflected that HPWPs have a significant effect on employee agility.

In this paper, we use a developer-oriented statistical approach to understand what causes people in complex software development networks to decide to fork (break away), and what changes a community goes through in the run-up to a decision to break-up. Developing complex software systems is complex. Software developers interact. they may have the same or different goals, communication styles, or values. Interactions can be healthy or troubled. Troubled interactions cause troubled communities, that face failure. Some of these failures manifest themselves as a community split (known as forking). these failures affects many people;developers and users. Can we save troubled projects? We statistically model the longitudinal socio-grams of software developers and present early indicators and warning signs that can be used to predict an imminent break-up decision. © the Author(s) 2017.

In the autonomous control network environment, there are various ways to manage the nodes located under the controller management. We have proposed a node management method for managing nodes of ad-hoc networks that operate in a wireless network environment, by proceeding with research previously. In ad-hoc networks, communication between users is provided only through direct connections between nodes. that means are Ad-hoc network technology supports mobility directly through routing algorithms. therefore, in an ad hoc network environment, when a node connected to the node loses its loss due to node movement, the routing protocol transmits the traffic to be transmitted to the other node. In the SDN environment, the controller monitors, detects, and manages the traffic generated by the lower nodes. In this paper, we propose a hop count management method that supports multipath algorithm for node management in SDN controller.
