the objective of this study is to rectify traditional helicopter manual-controlled system, improve hovering control, and upgrade the convenience of manual-controlled system by means of the application of grey relational voice recognition. Withthe assistance of fuzzy logic Kalman filter, this study aims to advise the voice recognition system used to eradicate the disturbance and enhance the ability to recognize the voice. this investigation progressively aims to integrate Mel frequency cepstral with grey relational analysis to form a grey-relational-based voice recognition system, utilized to prevent the system from the interference of rotating propellers and reinforce the ability to precisely recognize the voice while the helicopter is in flight. the data analyzed by Grey Relational application indicates that the voice recognition rate reaches 90% or above to enhance the ability to control system and design S/N ratio (Signal and Noise) withthe assistance of a twin rotor helicopter design under the environment full of noise.

this study is designed to assist the investigation of quality in health care in the evaluation and certification of liver function, and apply the software toolbox by means of grey relational analysis(GRA) to set up a Matlab-based evaluation and quantitative measurement for liver function. At first, based on previous studies associated with variables of liver-function diagnosis, this study is set to measure the factors, which may leave the effect on diagnosis. the measurement dimension of this study consists of entirely five variables including those, which are thought of as factors in medicine-related investigations. Weights of different variables depend on subjective or objective experiences. Followed by the theory of grey relational analysis, this study can examine the objective quantitative values withthe assistance of doctor's diagnosis to make the evaluation of weights, and the function assessment of health index to form a diagnosis-assisted platform of objective intelligent assessment of liver function.

To construct a better multivariate regression model for software effort estimation, this paper proposes a method to automatically select projects as fit data (a dataset for model construction) from a given project data set based on an estimation target's features. As a result of an experimental evaluation using the ISBSG data set, which is one of the most commonly used project data sets for effort estimation studies, the proposed method showed better estimation performance than the conventional method (of constructing a model using all project data). the median of MRE (Magnitude of Relative Error) was improved from 0.552 to 0.383, and also the median of MER (Magnitude of Error Relative) was improved from 0.457 to 0.381. While regression models were often constructed using all available project data, this paper showed the necessity of fit data selection, and showed that the proposed method is one of the effective and systematic means of doing the selection.

Forecasting the spread of fire in the aftermath of an earthquake by simulation is useful for prompt fire fighting and selection of resident evacuation routes. We have been developing a simulation system using Cellular Automata (CA). the map data of the simulated region is necessary to forecast a fire by CA. this research introduces an electronic housing map into the fire simulation system for improving the lattice-map-generation process. In the system designed in this study, a lattice map can be prepared by reading the color information of the buildings as soon as a region is specified. this process has greatly shortened the time to create the lattice map and simulates accurate shapes of the buildings. this paper presents an unsupervised approach to ROI extraction, using a combination of salient keypoints from Scale Invariant Feature Descriptors (SIFT) and points of attention (POAs) from a computational model of human visual attention (VA). In our framework, the main idea is to locate keypoints in the image by means of SIFT and cluster those keypoints using the POAs as centroids. the obtained clusters originates polygons that are further joint together to form the ROI contours. In spite of the popularity and robustness of the SIFT algorithm, it has a major problem of generating a large number of unnecessary keypoints, belonging mostly to the background. this imposes a limitation for its straight application on the support for ROI extraction, since the immediate effect is a poor discrimination of the saliencies. In order to solve this, a two-folded filtration method of the numerous keypoints has been applied, based on the least probable colors of the image. the algorithm has been evaluated on a wide variety of images and the results show that the proposed architecture can provide promising results in the task of ROI extraction.

the quality of machine translation depends on the input sentence. Collaborative machine translation systems do not only translate the input sentence into a target language but also back-translate the translation into the input language in a reverse way, and the user can repair the input sentence to improve the quality of translation referring to the back translation. However, it is not easy for novice users to repair the input sentence appropriately to be translated correctly. We propose a guided input method that assists the users to compose input sentences by presenting word candidates that may lead to a correct translation. the word candidates are generated from the sentence structure and word database that is created by storing input sentences that have been translated correctly. We evaluate the performance of the guided input method depending on the number of input sentences stored in the database. As the number of input sentences increases in the database, the performance of the method improves because the number of correct translations increases and the number of repairs decreases in an experiment of Japanese-Chinese translation. On the other hand, in an experiment of Japanese-English translation, the performance of the method is not so remarkable. the guided input method works better when the users are not familiar withthe target language.
