Dynamic Partial Reconfiguration(DPR) optimizes the resource utilization in the Field Programmable Gate Array(FPGA) over time and space nowadays. But the lack of standard tools and interface makes the extensive application of DPR rather difficult . With the open source Linux widely used in the Xilinx Zynq, users' demand for the reconfiguration becomes urgent. Linux-based dynamic partial reconfiguration system(LDPRS), combining the unified multi-thread programming model of software tasks and hardware tasks with FPGA dynamic partial reconfiguration, provides reliable and perfect reconfiguration system services. LDPRS supplies Linux standard reconfiguration programming interface and service of dynamic loading bitstreams. In the experiment, reconfiguration system is applied in the reconfigurable computing and the results show that FPGA reconfiguration design based on LDPRS has a short development period and high flexibility, supporting the dynamic loading bitstreams. this system efficiently solves the problem of the lack of standard reconfiguration development tools under LINUX, increasing the development flexibility of reconfiguration design and decreasing the difficulty and time in development. © Copyright owned by the author(s) under the terms of the Creative Commons.

Cloud robotic system needs to learn real time data stream in order to adapt to the new environment for better performance. Incremental learning as a kind of dynamics classification method can avoid sample repeating learning, and develop model for updating itself. In this paper, we proposed an incremental learning-based cloud robot object recognition mechanism. It can learn new objects through human-robot interaction by speech recognition. the proposed incremental learning method was tested with small scale data in domestic indoor environment application, and the cloud robotic system was validated by basic conversation with different testing groups. the experimental results verify the feasibility of the incrementally learning new information algorithm and the proposed cloud robotic system.

In the modern days, the technology is evolved in all the aspects of our life. the demands on functional and non-functional characteristics such as low power, high performance, small size, light weight, and low cost for the electronic gadgets invites the solution called embedded systems. Experimenter boards from embedded device manufacturers facilitate the users in rapid prototype development. these boards houses many sophisticated on board peripherals supported by API library that helps the user in their software development phase. the paper is aimed to grab the interest among beginners of embedded design in implementing their creative applications on generic development or experimenter boards. this paper describes the development of an open maze game on MSP430F5529 experimenter board from TI equipped with ultra low power 16-bit microcontroller with RISC architecture. the game involves controlling the movements of the graphics displayed on the dot matrix LCD driven by the results of 3D digital accelerometer CMA 3000 and push button switches present on the experimenter board. the IAR embedded system IDE is used for the software development and debugging along with MSP-FET430UIF, the JTAG based TI Flash Emulation tool. the steps taken for calibrating the accelerometer in order to detect the direction from accel values and the snapshots of the experimenter board taken at the time of game play are also presented as a part of this paper. © 2017 ieee.

It is a key issue in building operation management how to design an open and ubiquitous information system for diversity buildings of smart cities. this paper presents an operation management cloud ecosystem for smart buildings based on the technologies of Internet of things (IoT) and cloud computing. It contains four levels: operation management application level, Internet of things platform, networking level, node level. the IoT platform provides hosting and computing, cloud storage, data storage for smart buildings. Networking level takes the responsibility for networking for intelligent hardware and smart terminals from the device level. With the building operation management applications, the cloud ecosystem is able to provide services of monitoring, controlling, management, and real-time optimization for smart buildings in cities.

this paper present an analysis on in-situ particle monitor using virtual metrology system for particle contamination measurement. In the process of manufacturing semiconductor devices, detecting particle contamination in process tools is a vital factor for determining the product yield. In-situ monitoring of particle contamination can be as accurate and cost effective method of contamination control depend on type of particle monitoring sensor selection and its data used for virtual metrology. In this study, data samples are obtained from three system;Statistical Process control (SPC) data base, Advanced Process control (APC) data base and Hamamatsu Multiband Plasma Process Monitor system. then, an artificial neural network based classifier called multilayer perceptron (MLP) network is applied to measure the particle contamination level from the given dataset. the performance of MLP network is compared using two different algorithms namely Levernberg-Marquad (LM) and resilient back-propagation (RP) algorithm. Based on the simulation results, it can be concluded that the MLP network using LM algorithm gives the best regression result of 0.999 and 0.54 during the training and testing respectively. the outcome of this project is in-situ particle monitor would be able to detect particle in the oxide etch chamber as alternative for Surf-scan methodology for each processed wafers.

Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are widely employed today in real world applications. Smart homes and smart cities are the most promising application currently exploiting WSN. Smart lighting with WSN in particular is promising to achieve a low cost, wireless, easily installed, adaptable system to automatically adjust the light intensity of LED panels, with the aim of saving energy and maintaining user satisfaction. However, lifetime and power consumption of wireless devices are still the most critical challenge that limits the success of this technology. this issue is especially critical when wireless sensor nodes are powered by limited energy storage devices (i.e. small batteries or supercaps). To overcome this issue, major research efforts focus on reducing power consumption, particularly communication, as the radio transceiver is one of the highest power consumers. In this work we present the design and development of a highly efficient wireless system targeting indoor control of lights using ultra low power wake up radio technology. thanks to the wake up radio the energy efficiency of the communication is improved and this significantly increases the lifetime of the solution. We design the sensor and control devices for a smart light controlling system that can be retrofitted and maintain a long lifetime even when supplied by batteries. Measurements of current and power consumption of both the designed system confirm the ultra-low power of the nodes and the benefits to use the energy efficient power communication implemented with the wake up radio.

As for state estimation inconsistency in standard EKF-SLAM (Extended Kalman Filter, Simultaneous Localization and Mapping), a new algorithm that increasing observability constraint condition is represented in order to improve the consistency of standard EKF-SLAM. the observability constraint condition is first added and the compensation matrix U is constructed for standard EKF-SLAM algorithm in order to keep the rank of local observability matrix of EKF-SLAM consistent with non-linear SLAM system. then we use data fusion based state delay estimation to improve the accuracy of the initial landmark position. Next, a new linear point is calculated through solving the constrained optimization problem and computing Jacobi matrix of state model and observation model of the linear error status system for improving system observation matrix. Finally, the simulation results illustrate that the proposed algorithm is superior to the standard EKF-SLAM algorithm in terms of state estimation accuracy and consistency.

Spacecraft cluster is constituted by a large number of member spacecraft which are autonomously and cooperatively executing on-orbit tasks. In this paper, a spacecraft cluster control system based on Zigbee is designed. Wireless network communication is adopted not only among all member spacecraft, but also within each spacecraft, replacing the traditional wired connection. the system reconfiguration concept, network secure access protocol, and control system reconfiguration protocol are designed to ensure system security and reconfiguration ability. the experimental systems, which consist of wireless nodes and spacecraft component elec-simulators, are constructed to verify the feasibility of the proposed system scheme.

In this paper, we address robust network-based H∞ control with a low overshoot for linear system. the problem is turned into a problem of multi-objective H∞ and FTB (finite-time boundedness) network-based control. Based on newly proposed sufficient conditions of FTB, a state feedback controller is designed such that the closed-loop system possesses H∞ performance, and the states fall in a preseted region in a preseted time interval. Numerical simulations point out that desired performance of the newly proposed control schemes can be accomplished by a satellite system.
