A Cyber-physical system (CPS) is an engineering system made of computational components, i.e. cyber elements, and physical elements, that are connected by a communication network. CPSs have emerged as the contemporarily leading technology in major industry sectors such as manufacture, aerospace, automotive, etc. Nowadays CPS is almost the synonym of control systems for large and complex engineering systems. In addition, CPSs have inevitably interweaved with new technologies like Internet of things, cloud computing, ubiquitous computing, and big data processing. Taming the complexity has been the key challenge in CPS design. A novel declarative computing based platform was proposed in our previous paper to unify modeling and design of both cyber and physical components in CPSs. In this paper, the concepts and principles of the proposed declarative platform are depicted in details. In addition, modeling techniques of declarative networking and declarative control are showcased with concrete simulation examples.

Encryption algorithms are applied to a variety of fields and the security of encryption algorithms depends heavily on the computational infeasibility of exhaustive key-space search. RC4 algorithm has an extensive application for stream encryption, however, the disadvantages of traditional RC4 serial algorithm are large computational quantity and slow computation speed, which means a great challenge for throughput of computing system. Graphics processors recently have been widely used as accelerators for high throughput computing. In this paper, GPU is used to improve the efficiency and performance of attacking RC4 algorithm. First, we revised RC4 algorithm to make it easier to parallelize on a GPU. then we take advantage of constant memory and shared memory in GPU to search the key space of RC4 algorithm efficiently. Besides, we solved the bank conflict problem in shared memory to further improve the performance. Our approach was evaluated in the whole key space of 40-bit, and the results show it can complete searching of the whole key space within 12.8 hours. © 2016 ieee.

the thermoelectric cooler (TEC) is widely known device which have low coefficient of performance (COP) as compare to the conventional compressed refrigerator. However, it is suitable for portable refrigeration that requires light weight, small and fast control. therefore, the proportional integral derivatives (PID) control was implemented to control input and output while reducing its power consumption. Mathematical model for TEC was develop base on black box model to get its transfer function. the transfer function consist of ratio output and input that been used for analysis during development of controller. this study is focus on performance of PID controller in simulation and real hardware in order to reduce time constrain. the method proposed is integral of time multiplied absolute value of error (ITAE) criteria to determine the coefficient of PID controller. the finding shows that the lowest temperature is 7 DC and the time taken is around 940 second.

the goal of this paper is to present a design of a voltage controller via state-feedback control. An efficient power system model to measure voltage and frequency is introduced. the model including uncertainties is admitted to be time-dependent, with a priori known upper and lower bounds. A method to solve the stabilization problem of the power system model subject to uncertain time-dependent parameters, which is quadratically stabilizable via linear state feedback is also introduced. the local information of each conventional generation unit is determined in a decentralized manner by the controller. the voltage controller utilizes its own local measurement only, and each local area utilizes in its own utility only. the voltage controller is also designed under the assumption that only the outputs are available for measurement. In order to find the quadratic stabilizability of the system via state feedback, one needs to solve a convex optimization problem which is characterized by Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMIs). Finally, the corresponding feedback gain of the voltage controller is constructed based on the feasible solution of the LMIs optimization problem.

In this paper, the multichannel even mirror Fourier nonlinear (EMFN) filter based filtered-x least mean square (FFLMS) algorithm and filtered-error least mean square (FFELMS) algorithm are proposed for nonlinear active noise control (NANC) applications. the FFLMS algorithm is extended from a single-channel NANC system to a multi-channel NANC system, and the efficient filtered-error structure with the EMFN filter is explored in the developed FFELMS algorithm to reduce the computational complexity without sacrificing its control performance. the computational complexity analyses in comparison with the second-order Volterra filtered-x LMS (VFXLMS), first-order filtered-s LMS (FSLMS) and second-order Legendre filtered-x LMS (LFXLMS) algorithms are provided. the performance of the both FFLMS and FFELMS algorithms are validated through computer simulations. the computer simulations demonstrate that the developed multichannel FFLMS and FFELMS algorithms not only outperform the VFXLMS, FSLMS and LFXLMS algorithms in terms of the noise control performance but also converge faster than the second-order VFXLMS and the second-order LFXLMS algorithms.

this paper introduces a bomb disposal robot named Muktibot that is based on user-friendly smart technology. the Muktibot is controlled via smartphone android app. Radio transmitter option is also available in case of user demand. Muktibot is build and functioned in replace of human to save their life in bomb disposal mission. Special design features is introduced in the Muktibot, added new dimension in bomb disposal technology. Performance analysis is shown to evaluate how Muktibot is unique. the efficiency of the entire system is established through practical studies. the end result denotes the sustainability, affordability and reliability of the Muktibot in practical operation. this paper also enables the immense possible research scope among military defense systems.

the population is increasing every day and hence leading to increasing demand of energy consumption. Data center being one of the crucial aspect of IT organisational operations consumes several tens of MW of power. Some facilities consumes power which is 100 times more than a typical office building. One main concern is business continuity and if any single rack of the data center fails then that might result in impairment in company operations which may also stop completely. In this growing demand of energy consumption and huge requirement of power by a data center, we provide a balanced method to run these data centers smoothly without any interruption. In this paper we propose an energy efficient method to meet the power requirement for these gigantic power consuming data centers as well as techniques of efficient air conditioning system to reduce power consumption. the Data Center air conditioning system include environment monitoring, air conditioning, ventilation and temperature control. the algorithm to monitor and control temperature changes is provided and its implementation is also discussed below. Here we have discussed how the power consumption can be significantly reduced without compromising with the cooling performance of these data centers.

In this paper we propose a fraud-aware security architecture framework for improved telephone banking experience that enables easy set-up of framework in real environment. the proposed architecture is purely derived from requirements collected from 10 banks for experimental research and development and therefore capable of fully supporting practical testing, experimentation and deployment of standard telephone banking protocols. An attempt has been made to remove traditional knowledge-based security methods by utilizing modern technology of voice biometrics for caller verification and authentication that supports a novel fraud database approach which not only automatically sets up fraudster's profile for future references but also distributes the fraudster data across other credit institutions and investigation agencies. this work attempts to minimize identity theft by creating a shared network of fraudster information. the system level implementation of architecture supports dual layered security with an additional abstraction layer at service level for dynamic composition of security services. the work ends by providing comparison of the envisioned system with existing contemporary work in the area which validates the proposed architecture and proves its usability in real time.
