In this paper, platform of tracked electric tower wagon for eco-friendly agriculture is proposed. Recently, climate change, including global warming, is progressing rapidly worldwide. To respond to climate change, the world is focusing its efforts. Agricultural field production methods are also needed transition for environmentally friendly farming systems. Currently, most of the agricultural equipment was used the engine power. Responding to a global environmental problem for the eco-friendly system for the conversion of agricultural platform is needed. thus, eco-friendly platform of tracked electric tower wagon for agriculture using electric power was developed. © 2014 ieee.

In this paper a new evolutionary computing method based on Imperialist Competitive Algorithm (ICA) is used for tuning the elements of a PID controller which is applied in a Multi Area Load Frequency control system (MA-LFC). If a large power imbalance is suddenly happened in a multi area power electric system, generation units and also consumer sides will be affected by the distortion in the energy balance between both two sides. this inequality is firstly handled by the kinetic energy of the system turning components, but, eventually, the frequency will change. therefore, LFC is considered as one of the most challenging issues in power system control and operation. PID type controllers are conventional solutions for MA-LFC. the three parameters of the PID controllers have been adjusted traditionally. In this paper, a PID controller is applied for the MA-LFC problem and then its parts are modified by using ICA method. To validate the application of the technique, a multi area network with some uncertainties is provided. Finally the results of the ICA-PID controller are compared with the ones of GA optimized controllers. the simulation results show the success and the validity of the ICA-PID controller in compare with the GA-PID controller.

there are many types of bio-signals with various control application prospects. In this work possible control application domain of electroencephalographic signal obtained from an easily available, inexpensive EEG headset - Emotiv EPOC was presented. this work also involved application of an embedded system platform. that solution caused limits in choosing an appropriate signal processing method, as embedded platforms characterise with a little efficiency and low computing power. Potential implementation of the embedded platform enables to extend the possible future application of the proposed BCI. It also gives more flexibility, as the platform is able to simulate various environments. In this work traditional, statistical methods were neither used nor described. © 2013 ieee.

the external luminance, the climatic conditions as limpid sky or haze, the road surface wet or dry, the traffic speed and the related safe driver stopping distance, strongly influence the quantity of artificial support light necessary at the entrance of the tunnel. the design of the support lighting system in the road tunnel takes into account the critical conditions for these parameters that determine very high demand of electric power. With the aims to improve the safety and comfort for the drivers, avoiding the excesses of luminance and mitigating the cost and the energetic impact, in the paper is proposed a smart control able to operate and tune automatically the luminous flux emitted by the lighting system according to the input signals of the external luminance, the climatic condition and the traffic intensity. © 2013 ieee.

Implementation of security arrangements for insecure premises, for example, for temporary exhibitions or infrequent public events, usually results in substantial security personnel costs which can be potentially reduced by employing an easily installable distributed intrusion detection security system. In the paper we described the architecture, design and experimental results for a fully prototyped security system that utilizes ultrasonic sensors operating in the pulse echo mode for the perimeter control and ZigBee transceivers for wireless networking. the system consists of inexpensive autonomous sensor nodes with the component cost of less than £25. the nodes are programmed wirelessly to detect intrusion within any user set distance up to the operating distance of the node, and can operate unattended for days. © 2013 ieee.

A paper describes the multiagent system of aerial vehicles for difficult to access area's ecological monitoring. the main object of this systems applying is exploration of locality in case of technogenic accident and catastrophe, elemental calamity. the system is able to keep the formation during the movement on the optimal trajectory for the fastest exploration of locality. the group of agents is able to be controlled both manually and full-automatically as a result of composite navigational system applying which allows global positioning and local navigation each of agents. All of agents are equipped with the system of sensors and cameras and the data from them can be saved in local agent's memory as well as can be transmitted to the base station in real time. Because of aerial vehicles configuration with high maneuverability and the speed below 24 km/h the system shows high mobility and allows monitor the state of the natural environment as well as indoor area. © 2013 ieee.

the article deals with the modeling and predictive control of real hydraulic system using artificial neural network (ANN). For the design of optimal neural network model structure we developed procedures for creation optimal-minimal structure which ensure desired model accuracy. this procedure was designed using genetic algorithms (GA) in Matlab-Simulink. the predictive control algorithm was implemented using CompactLogix programmable logic controller (PLC). the main aim of the proposed paper is design of methodology and effective real-time algorithm for possible applications in industry. © 2013 Springer-Verlag.

For the sake of ensuring the operation reliability and stability of high voltage direct current (HVDC) power transmission system, it is needed and meaningful to study the overvoltage characteristics of HVDC system under abnormal condition. In this paper, the different reasons causing the HVDC overvoltage are introduced in brief, and aiming at the +/- 500kV HVDC project from Jiangling to Echeng, its overvoltage characteristics under different fault conditions are simulated based on MATLAB/SIMULINK. Besides, the influence of changing the HVDC control system's running parameter on the overvoltage's peak amplitude is investigated preliminarily. According to the simulation results, the overvoltage level of the selected +/- 500kV HVDC project is within the acceptable range, and along with the decrease of the current-limitation parameter in voltage dependent current order limiter (VDCOL), the HVDC overvoltage will increase slowly.
