Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) encompass several strategies aimed at ensuring safe and efficient vehicle-to-vehicle interactions on roads. these strategies involve the implementation of advanced technologies, including intelligent traffic lights, wireless (V2X) communication systems, visual recognition systems, and algorithms. In this research, we introduce the implementation of a distributed algorithm tailored for managing highly complex road infrastructure, particularly intersections in urban areas with multiple lanes. Our evaluation of the system's performance involves applying a type of density distribution called "Biased" and comparing it against a traditional traffic control system (traffic lights - "Green Wave"). the inclusion of this type of density distribution aims to align our approach with real-world traffic conditions, specifically the variation in densities across different lanes. this comprehensive assessment allows for a more thorough evaluation of system performance.

DNS (Domain Name System) is the distributed computer service that associates Internet domain names with their IP addresses. For the sake of business or malicious actions, some persons can make various DNS abuses such as squatting, typosquatting, and so on. To prevent such abuses, DNS managers elaborate a couple of policies and tools to double-check whether a domain name is compliant or not. Some existing solutions rely on identifying a list of reserved terms and proceed to syntactic verification before allowing the record of a new domain name. Such an approach, unfortunately, does not prevent typosquatting and Soundsquatting. To overcome such a drawback, we introduce a control approach made of both syntactic and phonetic verification supported by a classification module for decision-making. Our approach is validated over a set of 9726 domain names and around 5200 reserved terms. Results show the effectiveness of our approach and how it overcomes the existing algorithms devised for terms-reserved compliance check. © ICST Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications engineering 2025.

the frequency control of power grids is increasingly challenged by the integration of power electronics devices and renewable energy resources. this trend has heightened the need for Load Frequency control (LFC) to an unprecedented level. Unlike conventional LFC methods that struggle with modern dynamic conditions, advanced optimization and control strategies are increasingly essential. this paper examines the performance of a single-area LFC system by integrating the Wild Horse Optimization (WHO) technique with Proportional-Integral (PI) and Fractional-order-Proportional-Integral (FOPI) controllers. the study evaluates the system's response under various disturbances. Without wind disturbance, the WHO method outperformed conventional approaches in the PI-based system. With the FOPI controller applied, overshoot further decreased by 46.8% relative to the PI-based system. Under wind disturbances, WHO continued to outperform existing techniques. Overall, the FOPI controller demonstrated superior stability in terms of overshoot and settling time when subjected to dynamic power disturbances, compared to the PI-based system.

the study proposes an advanced control technique for modular-structured series-resonant converters, unifying pulse-density modulation (PDM) and phase-shift control to mitigate output current amplitude fluctuations. Series-resonant converters, widely utilised for their efficiency in various applications, typically employ PDM to achieve zero-voltage and quasi-zero-current switching, minimising switching losses. However, these converters often encounter challenges with amplitude fluctuations in the output current, particularly during deep current regulation, which can compromise performance and lead to increased electromagnetic interference and overvoltage issues. the presented control strategy combines PDM with phase-shift control, significantly reducing these fluctuations and maintaining higher minimum peak currents. this unified approach ensures greater stability and efficiency in the converter's operation. Detailed experimental validation confirms the theoretical benefits, highlighting the proposed method's superiority over traditional PDM control techniques in achieving stable and efficient converter performance.

Markov process analysis is a dynamic modeling approach, which considers that when the current state of the system is known, the transformation development of a future state is independent of its past state. the Markov process is used to model the system and the Laplace transform is used to solve the reliability indexes such as availability and reliability of the system, the Markov model can clearly represent the transformation relationship between the system states, which can fully characterize the operational capability of the system, which is of theoretical and practical significance for the reliability analysis and calculation of repairable control systems widely existed in engineering. © 2024 IEEE.

the study introduces an innovative algorithm for yaw stability control in electric Formula racing cars with four-wheel drive, integrating Linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR) and tire stability margin analysis. the research includes developing kinematic equations for vehicle motion, calculating upper-layer additional yaw torque, and solving the lower-layer optimal torque problem. through simulations and real-world testing, the algorithm significantly enhances vehicle stability and dynamic performance. the method has been successfully applied to the Formula Student Electric China E02 racing car, achieving the fastest lap in a figure-eight test. © 2024 IEEE.

Aiming at the low efficiency of gesture interaction in the command and control system, this paper proposes a gesture interaction optimization method based on gesture complexity. Ten joint points are selected to model gestures, and gesture pairs and complexity are defined. Complexity is used as the basis for gesture optimization. Finally, the commonly used GOMS model in human factors engineering is used to evaluate interaction efficiency. the results show that this method can reduce task completion time and effectively improve interaction efficiency. © 2024 IEEE.
