Image stitching is a key technology in computer vision, whose purpose is to generate a seamless high-definition image from multiple images. Traditional image stitching algorithms rely too much on feature detection quality and suffer from poor feature extraction ability, artifacts, misalignment and distortion in scenes such as of low texture. Deep learning based stitching networks have better feature detection ability with strong robustness, but most of which focus on estimating a single global homography, therefore the images cannot be fully aligned in scenes with large parallax. To solve these problems, this paper proposes a new unsupervised multi-scale residual stitching network, which stacks the input image feature maps at different scales to form a feature pyramid, and incorporates a shared weight Convolutional Block Attention Module (CBAM) into each pyramid layer. through joint optimization of homography and thin-plate spline motion, a flexible warping from global to local is implemented, which could process images with large parallax and large baseline. Experiments show that the objective performance of this method is better than existing algorithms, and the image registration is more accurate in challenging scenes. © 2024 IEEE.

the airworthiness certification of aircraft smoke detection system includes ground test and flight test;Because the use of real fire source in flight test will increase the risk of the test, therefore, for safety and economic considerations, the simulated smoke generated by the smoke generator is usually used in flight test to replace the real fire smoke, so as to check the alarm function of the cargo hold smoke detector. the simulated smoke generator is an important experimental equipment to replace the real fire source for verification. the existing smoke simulation devices based on open loop control are not effective in simulating the unstable field of fire smoke concentration. In this paper, the smoke mode control device of the smoke generator is designed, and the closed-loop control system is formed with the simulated aircraft cargo hold and smoke generator, and the target tracking control experiment is carried out. the experimental results show that better control effect can be achieved at both near and far points, and its control performance is related to the distance from the measuring point to the smoke outlet. It provides technical guidance for the follow-up development of smoke flow control.. © 2024 IEEE.

We introduced the basic principle of Variational Mode Decomposition (VMD). the reliability and feasibility of VMD in the frequency analysis and decomposition of sluice vibration signals are studied by means of a simulation signal consisting of quadratic trend term, chirped signal and segmented cosine. through the application of VMD to the actual work of sluice vibration detection, it is confirmed that the method can eliminate the noise signal of sluice vibration, and can better reflect the real vibration of sluice in the state of water flow. We decomposed and reconstructed the Qiaogong sluice vibration acceleration signal by VMD, get the root mean square value of the vibration displacement is 98.8 μm. the displacement belongs to the hazard degree of tiny vibration. the vibration also conforms to the combined effect of amplitude and frequency, it is harmless to the sluice. © 2024 IEEE.

In order to solve the redundant driving issue of a redundantly actuated parallel chewing robot, an optimal allocation method of driving forces is proposed in this paper. the dynamic equations are established based on Lagrange equations and principle of virtual work. the force model of the chewing robot is established. A mathematical model for optimal allocation of driving forces based on genetic algorithm is established using two optimization criteria, minimization of 2-norm of six sets of driving forces and minimization of 2-norm of the internal forces of the temporomandibular joints. Chewing simulated food experiments are carried out to verify the feasibility of the optimal allocation method of driving forces. © 2024 IEEE.

this research presents a novel depth estimation algorithm based on a Transformer-encoder architecture, tailored for the NYU and KITTI Depth Dataset. this research adopts a transformer model, initially renowned for its success in natural language processing, to capture intricate spatial relationships in visual data for depth estimation tasks. A significant innovation of the research is the integration of a composite loss function that combines Structural Similarity Index Measure (SSIM) with Mean Squared Error (MSE). this combined loss function is designed to ensure the structural integrity of the predicted depth maps relative to the original images (via SSIM) while minimizing pixel-wise estimation errors (via MSE). this research approach addresses the challenges of over-smoothing often seen in MSE-based losses and enhances the model's ability to predict depth maps that are not only accurate but also maintain structural coherence with the input images. through rigorous training and evaluation using the NYU Depth Dataset, the model demonstrates superior performance, marking a significant advancement in single-image depth estimation, particularly in complex indoor and traffic environments. © 2024 IEEE.

Regularly inspect of underwater pinholes widely distributed among nuclear power equipments has became an important initiative to ensure the safety of nuclear power operation. In response to the problems of unreachable target point and insufficient obstacle avoidance ability of the current underwater operation robot, a local path planning algorithm based on Fuzzy Adaptive Dynamic Window Approach (FADWA) is proposed. the mathematical model is constructed based on the traditional dynamic window approach, and the coupling between the obstacle avoidance ability of the mobile robot and the reachability of the target point is solved by combining the fuzzy control with the dynamic window approach to realize the adaptive model weights. the simulation experiments results show that this local path planning algorithm enhances the environmental adaptability of the underwater mobile robot, and improves the obstacle avoidance ability and target reachability. © 2024 IEEE.

In recent years, multiple global pandemics have raised concerns about respiratory diseases. As an advanced life support tool for respiratory failure, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) has become increasingly important. In order to improve the oxygenation effect and adaptive control ability of the system, researchers have made efforts in membrane materials, blood pumps, and control methods. this article proposes a method of using extremum seeking to control treatment effectiveness by adjusting pressure adaptively. Firstly, fit the oxygen dissociation curve and carbon dioxide dissociation curve, and establish a flow-pressure model of the system based on the Ideal Gas Law and gas pump performance curve. then construct the objective function and conduct system simulation with the perturbation-based extremum seeking control. the results show that the algorithm enable the system to automatically search and reach the extreme point of the objective function, improving the comprehensive effect of ECMO therapy. © 2024 IEEE.

Nowadays, Marine equipment develops rapidly, especially underwater acoustic detection equipment plays an important role in resource exploration, military defense and other fields. How to evaluate the detection efficiency of acoustic detection equipment is a key issue, which can not only provide reference direction for the improvement of equipment design, but also evaluate different types of acoustic detection products under the same ocean hydrological conditions. In view of the characteristics such as small evaluation data, incomplete information and uncertainty in the evaluation process, taking sonar products as an example, this paper will introduce a gray clustering evaluation method of acoustic detection equipment effectiveness based on the combined weight method of FAHP-CRITIC and carry out a numerical example analysis. © 2024 IEEE.

In the modern manufacturing industry, the surface defect detection of steel is very important to ensure product quality. Based on YOLOv7-tiny algorithm, this study improves the real-time and accuracy of steel surface defect detection through a series of innovative improvements. First, we replace the original ordinary convolution structure by introducing Omni-dimensional dynamic convolution module, enhance feature extraction to boost model detection accuracy. Change the activation function from Leaky ReLU to SiLU, and enhance the gradient flow of the model, improve detection performance. In addition, by introducing SimAM module and improving the performance of detection headers through TSCODE, the model's ability to recognize small size targets is enhanced. After that, using MPDIoU instead of CIoU as the loss function, which simplified the calculation process and the efficiency and accuracy of defect detection are improved. Finally, we verified the model through the NEU-DET data set. the experimental results show that, with these improvements, the mAP@0.5 of the model is significantly improved, reaching 0.768 in the end, and the reasoning speed is also up to 34.5 fps, which proves the speed and accuracy of the improved model in real-time detection of steel surface defects. © 2024 IEEE.

In order to ensure the shortest braking distance and improve the lateral stability of the vehicle, this paper proposes a distributed stability control strategy for electric vehicles under braking conditions. the vehicle stability region is delineated by combining the sideslip angle - sideslip angle velocity (β- (β) phase plane with the maximum yaw angular velocity, and the longitudinal stability controller and the transverse stability controller are designed according to the stability region in which the vehicle is located. When the vehicle is in the stable region, the braking moment of the wheels is decided by using the DBO fuzzy PID control method;When the vehicle is in the instability region, based on the sliding mode control, the lateral stability controller is designed to calculate the additional yaw moment of the vehicle, and the optimal allocation algorithm is used to allocate the longitudinal moment and the additional yaw moment of the vehicle. through the joint simulation of Carsim/Simulink, the results show that the control strategy proposed in this paper reduces the deviation of lateral displacement by 0.1m, the deviation of maximum yaw velocity by 0.08rad/s, the maximum sideslip angle by 0.015rad, and the braking distance by 4m compared with the comparative control strategy, which proves the effectiveness of the strategy. © 2024 IEEE.
