Good corporate governance requires an improvement of the definition and the enforcement of the employees" responsibility throughout the companies" processes. In the field of information technology, one translation of this requirement targets a strict alignment of the access control policy with the permissions needed by the employees to achieve the obligations linked to their responsibilities. there has been much work related to access control over three decades and Role Based Access Control (RBAC) has emerged as a reference model in that discipline. Although its advantages have been largely recognized, when taking into account the new governance constraints, it appears that its mechanism of assignment of users" permissions is improvable. In this paper, we propose enhancements of RBAC by taking into account the concept of responsibility and explain it can be modeled using the OWL web Ontology language.

In recent years, due to the popularity of Internet, more and more people use online dictionaries instead of the traditional dictionaries. However, the functions of the existing online Mandarin-Taiwan dialects dictionaries are not complete enough. We developed Mandarin-Taiwan dialects (MinNan and Hakka) online audio dictionaries with speech synthesis technology. the Mandarin-MinNan online dictionary is constructed based on the concept of web 2.0. And it has 8 major functions. they are phonetic symbols providing, online pronunciation, semantic interpretation, example sentence providing, machine translation, unknown word processing, expanding mechanism providing and test. the purpose of expanding mechanism providing is to increase the number of words in the Mandarin- Taiwan dialects dictionary of our system. Currently the number of words in the bilingual dictionary is still not enough. We hope to solve this problem based on the concept of web 2.0.

When various technical and business changes related to web service compositions occur, there is often a need for runtime adaptation with minimal human intervention. While many research projects work on particular types of such adaptation, much more research is needed on decision making for diverse autonomic adaptations, particularly to maximize business (as opposed to technical) metrics. Our MiniMASC middleware is a framework for diverse autonomic adaptations of web service compositions, focusing on supporting such advanced decision-making algorithms. MiniMASC is relatively simple, light weight, modular, and extensible. It uses the WS-Policy4MASC policy language that can describe all information necessary for different types of adaptation. After presenting our classification of different types of decision making in adaptation of web service compositions, this paper discusses how MiniMASC (with WS-Policy4MASC) can be used for implementing algorithms maximizing business metrics. Our tests show that the implementation of MiniMASC has a satisfactory performance and scales well.

this article studies different aspect of a new approach for resolving lexical ambiguities using statistical information gained from a monolingual corpus. the proposed approach resolves the problem of target word selection in an machine translation system. this Method is an unsupervised graph-based approach which uses a bilingual dictionary to find all possible translations of each ambiguous word in the source sentence (English) and then chooses the most appropriate alternative regarding the statistical information gathered from target language (Persian) corpora. Also, two new methods to measure the semantic similarity based on source and target language corpora are introduced. the experiments show that the unsupervised graph-based WSD which uses the proposed semantic similarity measures in the dependency graph outperforms all other methods on WSD for translating English to Persian words, significantly.

language Model (LM) constitutes one of the key components in Keyword Spotting (KWS). the rapid development of the World Wide web (WWW) makes it an extremely large and valuable data source for LM training, but it is not optimal to use the raw transcripts from WWW due to the mismatch of content between the web corpus and the test data. this paper proposes a novel two-step data selection method based on the predefined keyword list in language modeling for keyword spotting. First we exploit the keywords to be spotted, by submitting every keyword as a independent search engine query, it retrieves web corpus that can be used directly to train a web LM (However we didn't); Second we select the sentences with the predefined keywords from the raw web corpus. the final keyword-specific corpus selected is applied to train adaptive LM used to adapt general purpose one. Our keyword-specific LM allows the KWS task to be topic-independent, allowing the keywords to be random and irrelevant. Our experimental results show that the keyword-specific LM outperforms the one trained on the raw web corpus, while expanding the size of the web-based data corpus no longer improve the EER point of the KWS system, but improve the performance on both end of the DET (Detection Error Tradeoff) curve.

Numerous reports have indicated the severity of fake reviews (i.e., spam) posted to various e-Commerce or opinion sharing web sites. Nevertheless, very few studies have been conducted to examine the trustworthiness of online consumer reviews because of the lack of an effective computational methodology. Unlike other kinds of web spam, untruthful reviews could just look like other legitimate reviews (i.e., ham), and so it is difficult to apply any features to distinguish the two classes. One main contribution of our research work is the development of a novel computational methodology to combat online review spam. Our experimental results confirm that the KL divergence and the probabilistic language modeling based computational model is effective for the detection of untruthful reviews. Empowered by the proposed computational methods, our empirical study found that around 2% of the consumer reviews posted to a large e-Commerce site is spam.

Prevalent use of human language in computer systems and language oriented document processing, especially in the web, caused creating the need of designing mechanisms for developing natural language processing. In this paper, a survey in Natural language processing Laboratory has been done and a proposed framework for its development is suggested. Achieving this goal, the specifications, structures and activities of available Natural language processing Laboratories have been reviewed and valuable results are obtained. Afterward, a proposed framework is established. this framework introduces requirements of Laboratory in a structural way that providing solutions for it any clear plan in NLP Laboratories. Finally, according to National requirements of Iran and characteristics of Persian language, a Natural language processing Laboratory in discussed framework is designed. the activities of this laboratory includes basic tasks like creating linguistic resources (Corpora, Bilingual corpora, Lexicon, etc), test datasets, developing Natural language processing System's Evaluation Framework, development of basic tools (Parser, POS-tagger, etc), research tasks like defining areas for universities, and services such as application development, natural language processing system evaluation, and granting of the appropriate certificates.

Question answering is a useful task to help people seek the knowledge of what they want to know. Previous study mainly focuses on factoid question answering, which serves the needs to answer factual questions. Due to rapidly increasing scale of user generated contents on the web, people are more interested in opinion questions that can reflect others' opinions. In this paper, we propose a framework for opinion question answering by combining opinion mining with traditional question answering methods. Besides, we use question-answer opinion patterns to extract and rank candidate answers from text snippets. Experimental results on TREC Blog08 dataset reveal the potential of our framework.

In order to effectively handle the growing amount of available RDF data, a scalable and flexible RDF data processing framework is needed. We previously proposed a Hadoop-based framework, which takes advantages of scalable and fault-tolerant distributed processing technologies, originally proposed as Google's distributed file system and MapReduce parallel model. In this paper, we present a method extending the Pig data processing platform on top of the Hadoop infrastructure. Pig compiles programs written in a high level language, called Pig Latin, into MapReduce programs that can be executed by Hadoop. In order to support RDF, Pig was extended with the ability to load and store RDF data efficiently. Furthermore, as reasoning is an important requirement for most systems storing RDF data, support for inferring new triples using entailment rules was also added. In this paper, we describe these extensions and present an evaluation of their performance.

One of the critical challenges in embedded sensor actor networks is the communication between the diversity of widespread nodes. XML-based message formats are already widely adopted in other IT domains such as the web and would be perfectly suited for data exchange in heterogeneous environments. Despite all its strengths, the common markup language cannot be adopted on small embedded devices with limited resources due to its verbosity and associated processing overhead. the paper describes an innovative source code generation technique by means of W3C's Efficient XML Interchange (EXI) format that enables the efficient usage of XML-based messages on small devices with limited resources. the outcome is an EXI Processor that allows an end-to-end XML-based communication between systems ranging from powerful workstations to microcontroller-based systems. Particularly, the paper emphasizes the flexibility with regard to alter an exchange format and its minimal adaption efforts due to the generated EXI Processor. An example application proves the applicability of the proposed approach and demonstrates a real life show-case for XML-based web service communication on microcontroller-based devices.
