Internet of things (IoT) is about making "things" smart in some functionality, and connecting and enabling them to perform complex tasks by themselves. the functionality can be encapsulated as services and the task executed by composing the services. Two noteworthy functionalities of IoT services are monitoring and actuation. Monitoring implies continuous executions, and actuation is by triggering. Continuous executions typically involve stream processing. Stream input data are accumulated into batches and each batch is subjected to a sequence of computations, structured as a dataflow graph. the composition may be processing several batches simultaneously. Additionally, some non-stream OLTP transactions may also be executing concurrently. thus, several composite transactions may be executing concurrently. this is in contrast to a typical web services composition, where just one composite transaction is executed on each invocation. therefore, defining transactional properties for executions of IoT service compositions is much more complex than for those of conventional web service compositions. In this paper, we propose a transaction model and a correctness criterion for executions of IoT service compositions. Our proposal defines relaxed atomicity and isolation properties for transactions in a flexible manner and can be adapted for a variety of IoT applications. (C) 2016 the Authors. Much work has been done in the last decade on Sentiment Analysis not surprisingly for English because of the availability of a large number of resources but other languages are also gradually taking pace, some of them already in advanced stages and already developing competing resources and applications compared to English. Nepali opinionated content is also increasing rapidly in the last few years. Nepal fares as one of the countries withthe highest number of Facebook subscribers. Online presence and voicing one's opinion in the Internet through different social media platforms has become a norm both for individuals or businesses. Nepali is a morphologically rich, under-resourced and a free word order language. this study investigated the impact of technology generated listening environments upon processing of cognitive information. the main question asked was: To what extent does background sound impact accuracy on a cognitive task? A total of 217 museum-goers (127 f, 90 m) completed a language categorization task in four different listening environments: rain sounds;fast music;calm music;and silence. Overall, task scores during the four listening conditions were similar, with male scores stronger than female in every condition. Significant differences were seen between children ages 7-12 and teenage and adult groups;and between young adults and adults over 60 years. Strong, but not significant, differences were noted between older teenagers (16 to 19 years) and the youngest adults (20 to 30 years). In addition, strong correlations were seen between the four sound conditions and personal media usage, as well as between sound conditions and years of musical training. Findings support the duplex mechanism theory 1151, and suggest that the ability to screen out irrelevant sounds may be more controllable through greater top-down task engagement.

Such collaboration and coordination between different organizations, for a good share, is facilitated by informationtechnology. the BPMN choreography diagram is a modeling language for specifying the exchange of information and services between different organizations at the business level. Recently, there is a surging use of the REST architectural style for the provisioning of services on the web, but no systematic engineering approach to design their collaboration. In this paper, we address this gap by defining a semi-automatic method for the derivation of RESTful interactions from choreography diagrams. the method is based on natural language analysis techniques to derive interactions from the textual information in choreography diagrams. the proposed method is evaluated in terms of effectiveness and considered to be useful by REST developers.

this study presents a Hidden Markov Models(HMM)-based snoring recognition system over the web services environment that consists of the snoring model generation, the recognition system, and the remote device. In design phase, a set of HMM model (snoring and non-snoring) is created from the MFCC feature vectors extracted from the sound corpus consisting of snoring sounds and non-snoring sounds. the recognition system is organized to provide the web services that can be called by the remote device in different platforms with any language. In the test, this system shows that snoring and non-snoring sounds were recognized as 93% and 95.2% for speaker-independent case and 98.3% and 99% for the speaker-dependent case, respectively.

the K-12 learning space is evolving in boththe United States and internationally. Students are given increasingly frequent access to the internet through various platforms such as desktop computers, laptops, tablets, and other mobile devices. Some schools are distributing mobile devices to students in order to facilitate the integration of technology in the classroom. these devices have a web filter installed on them to filter inappropriate content irrespective to the Wi-Fi network to which they are connected. these web filters collect logs of student activities on the internet. To date, however, this data has not been systematically analyzed. In this paper we explore data collected from K-12 student generated search queries on different search engines to gain insight into student learning behavior. Term frequency analysis is used to discover the relationship between effective and inappropriate usage of mobile devices in school.
