the present article addresses the problem of a hotel deduplication. Obvious approaches, such as name or location comparisons, fail, because hotel descriptions differ among different databases. the most accurate approach to solve this problem is to use the professionally trained content managers, but it is expensive, hence an automatic solution should be implemented. We propose a method to improve a hypothesis that a pair of hotels is identical, and compare its performance with alternative solutions. the proposed method satisfies business requirements set for the precision and recall of the hotel deduplication task. the method is based on machine learning approach with the use of some unique features, including those built with the help of computer vision algorithms.

Efficiency of the organization of psychiatric care increases when usage of information technologies intensifies, and interaction of various institutions providing psychiatric care improves. Development and improvement of electronic forms of medical documentation, automation of the psychiatrist's workplace, data transmission using protected information channels provide continuity in mental health care providing. However, informatization of medicine in some cases assumes a basic change of doctor's work technology, algorithms, techniques of collecting and processing information, and decision-making. For the purpose of studying doctors' readiness for work in this direction, we analyzed opinions of the practicing psychiatrists. Also integrity of using all opportunities for application of information technologies in psychiatric practice was investigated, data on integration of psychiatric community in use of information technologies at the present stage were compared, dynamics of process was estimated. Poll data of 100 psychiatrists working in out-patient and stationary facilities of Volgograd city have been used for research. Conclusions are drawn on the perspective directions of interdepartmental cooperation of medical psychiatric community and professionals of information technologies: development of high-quality Russian-language software for patients' electronic diaries, the multi-purpose automated questionnaire for a complex of organizational and methodical actions for carrying out routine inspections at the new technological level, creation and improvement of a medical information network for psychiatric service. the fastest introduction of the information technologies facilitating control and supervision of separate groups of the patients, for example, follow up the dispensary supervision (DS), carrying out the medical commissions, training, remote supervision for the areas of region and also for ensuring the principle of continuity in psychiatric practice is espec

At the moment, a huge amount of scientific articles is available, referring to a wide variety of topics like medicine, technology, economics, finance, and so on. Scientific papers show results of scientific interest and also present the evaluation and interpretation of relevant arguments. Due to the fact that these papers are created with a high frequency it is feasible to analyze how people write in a given domain. Within the discipline of natural language processing there are different approaches to analyze large amounts of text corpus. Identification patterns with semantic elements in a text, let us classify and examine the corpus to facilitate interpretation and management of information through computers. At the moment, a semiautomatic or automatic way to generate natural language patterns is not available or quite complicated. In the paper, it is shown how a tool developed for this research is tested in a domain of public health. the results obtained – by means of a tool and aided by graphs – provide groups of words that are used (to determine if they come from a specific vocabulary), most common grammatical categories, most repeated words in a domain, patterns found, and frequency of patterns found. A domain of public health has been selected containing 800 papers concerning different topics referring to genetics. the topics include mutations, genetic deafness, DNA, trinucleotide, suppressor genes, among others. An ontology of public health has been used to provide the basis of the study. © Springer international Publishing AG 2016.

Software Defined Network (SDN) separates control plane from data plane and provides programmability which adds rich function for anomaly detection. In this case, every organization can manage their own network and detect anomalous traffic data using SDN architecture. Moreover, detection of malicious traffic, such as DDoS attack, would be dealt with much higher accuracy if these organizations shared their data. Unfortunately, they are unwilling to do so due to privacy consideration. To address this contradiction, we propose an efficient and privacy-preserving collaborative anomaly detection scheme. We extend prior work on SDN-based anomaly detection method to guarantee accuracy and privacy at the same time. the implementation of our design on simulated data shows that it performs well for network-wide anomaly detection with little overhead. © Springer international Publishing Switzerland 2016.

A massive amount of XML (Extensible Markup language) data is available on the web, which can be viewed as tree data. One of the fundamental building blocks of information retrieval from tree data is answering structural queries. Various labeling schemes have been suggested for rapid structural query processing. We focus on the prefixbased labeling scheme that labels each node with a concatenation of its parent’s label and its child order. this scheme has been adapted in RDF (Resource Description Framework) data management systems that index RDF data in tree by grouping subjects. Recently, a MapReducebased algorithm for the prefix-based labeling scheme was suggested. We observe that this algorithm fails to keep label size minimized, which makes the prefix-based labeling scheme difficult for massive real-world XML datasets. To address this issue, we propose a MapReduce-based algorithm for prefix-based labeling of XML data that reduces label size by adjusting the order of label assignments based on the structural information of the XML data. Experiments with real-world XML datasets show that the proposed approach is more effective than previous works. © Springer international Publishing AG 2016.

Beauty industry has become one of the largest growth industries. the most famous service for beauty clinic is acne treatment. the first process of acne treatment is acne counting and classification which is manually done by dermatologist. In this paper, an automatic acne detection system was proposed and developed as an acne detection device. the system acquired facial image of the patient via web camera then converted the image into suitable color model. the system recognized and extracted patient's face using Haar Cascade classifier and marked as the Region of Interest (ROI). Background was removed using GrabCut and only patient's face was extracted. then, the system visualized patient face through Heat mapping and did Adaptive thresholding. Finally, the system did BLOB detection and marked each BLOB on the image using box shape.

Sequence comparison problems such as sequence alignment and approximate string matching are part of the fundamental problems in many fields such as natural language processing, data mining and bioinformatics. However, the algorithms proposed to address these problems suffer from high computational complexities prohibiting them from being widely used in practical large-scale settings. Many researchers used parallel programming to reduce the execution time of these algorithms. In this paper, we follow this approach and use the parallelism capabilities of the Graphics processing Unit (GPU) to accelerate one of the most common algorithms to compute the edit distance between two strings, which is known as the Levenshtein distance. To take full advantage of the large number of cores in a GPU, we employ a diagonal-based tracing technique which results in even greater improvements in terms of the running time. In fact, our CUDA implementation of the Levenshtein algorithm is about 11X faster than the sequential implementation. this is achieved without affecting the accuracy.

the holy Quran is the holy book of the Muslims. It contains information about many domains. Often people search for particular concepts of holy Quran based on the relations among concepts. An ontological modeling of holy Quran can be useful in such a scenario. In this paper, we have modeled nature related concepts of holy Quran using OWL (web Ontology language) / RDF (Resource Description Framework). Our methodology involves identifying nature related concepts mentioned in holy Quran and identifying relations among those concepts. these concepts and relations are represented as classes/instances and properties of an OWL ontology. Later, in the result section it is shown that, using the Ontological model, SPARQL queries can retrieve verses and concepts of interest. thus, this modeling helps semantic search and query on the holy Quran. In this work, we have used English translation of the holy Quran by Sahih international, Protege OWL Editor and for querying we have used SPARQL.

Nowadays, IT community is experiencing great shift in computing and information storage infrastructures by using powerful, flexible and reliable alternative of cloud computing. the power of cloud computing may also be realized for mankind if some dedicated disaster management clouds will be developed at various countries cooperating each other on some common standards. the experimentation and deployment of cloud computing by governments of various countries for mankind may be the justified use of IT at social level. It is possible to realize a real-time disaster management cloud where applications in cloud will respond within a specified time frame. If a Real-Time Cloud (RTC) is available then for intelligent machines like robots the complex processing may be done on RTC via request and response model. the complex processing is more desirable as level of intelligence increases in robots towards humans even more. therefore, it may be possible to manage disaster sites more efficiently with more intelligent cloud robots without great lose of human lives waiting for various assistance at disaster site. Real-time garbage collector, real-time specification for Java, multicore CPU architecture with network-on-chip, parallel algorithms, distributed algorithms, high performance database systems, high performance web servers and gigabit networking can be used to develop real-time applications in cloud.
