Predicting emotion categories, such as anger, joy, and anxiety, expressed by a sentence is challenging due to its inherent multi-label classification difficulty and data sparseness. In this paper, we address above two challenges by incorporating the label dependence among the emotion labels and the context dependence among the contextual instances into a factor graph model. Specifically, we recast sentence-level emotion classification as a factor graph inferring problem in which the label and context dependence are modeled as various factor functions. Empirical evaluation demonstrates the great potential and effectiveness of our proposed approach to sentence-level emotion classification.

In contrast with traditional relation extraction, which only considers a fixed set of relations, Open information Extraction (Open IE) aims at extracting all types of relations from text. Because of data sparseness, Open IE systems typically ignore lexical information, and instead employ parse trees and Part-of-Speech (POS) tags. However, the same syntactic structure may correspond to different relations. In this paper, we propose to use a lexicalized tree kernel based on the word embeddings created by a neural network model. We show that the lexicalized tree kernel model surpasses the unlexicalized model. Experiments on three datasets indicate that our Open IE system performs better on the task of relation extraction than the state-of-the-art Open IE systems of Xu et al. (2013) and Mesquita et al. (2013).

there are many nature languageprocessing applications. A typical example is information extraction whose target is a sentence. Various rules are often used in this kind of applications. However, automated processing is not accurate enough in some cases. this is because it is easy to construct syntax rules of a sentence but difficult to semantic rules. On the other hand, the knowledge representation community paid much attention to common knowledge. It is insightful to use rules based on this sense on common things in nature languageprocessing. therefore, we propose an approach to combine the common knowledge and the nature languageprocessing rules. It first applied the name entity reorganization technology and then generated rules based on a specific common knowledge database. As a result, this approach can be a framework for many (but not all) nature languageprocessing applications. In our experimental example, this approach performed well.
