Romania signed Kyoto and Montreal Protocol and in the same time as a new member of EU has the obligation to respect the environmental legislation. Minimizing the presence in the atmosphere of F-gases deriving from activities in the field of refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat pumps, can only be carried out by observing the F-Gas Regulations, namely the (CE) 517/2014 Regulation and its relevant Subsidiaries, along with the European (and Romanian) refrigeration safety standard SR EN 378. To implement the international Legislation, in the future it is necessary to retrofit HFC refrigerant with an ecological refrigerant R717 or R744 which has the advantage of a lower GWP. In this paper, the ecological alternatives R717 and R744 are presented in different Romanian refrigeration study cases. thermodynamic properties of these simulations were done using software Pack Calculation Pro. © 2017 international Institute of Refrigeration. this paper presents a Digital Repositories Infrastructure (DRI) software platform that simplifies the management of digitalized content and metadata stored on Grid, exploiting its features such as strong security contexts, data federation and large storage and computing capacities. the DRI proposed here includes repository browsing tools, a custom made viewer and a mammograms analysis graphical interface. In general, DRI offers an easy and intuitive interaction model with content stored on the Grid and it also constitutes the foundation to build specific domain applications. In this context, we developed an experimental Grid application in Mammography Computer-Aided Diagnosis (CAD) including a general framework that supports all its stages (image processing, segmentation, training, classification, etc) allowing semiautomatic classification of digital mammograms. the getRNIA is a software tool for the rough-set based framework RNIA (Rough Non-deterministic Information Analysis), which can handle tables with uncertain data, especially non-deterministic data. this paper considers new functionalities in the getRNIA system for enhancing its ability. the first is the parallelization of the NIS-Apriori algorithm, and the second is the introduction of a new descriptor with disjunctive values, which we name Or-descriptor. the final is the estimation of the actual values in tables with uncertain data.

Research interest of small clusters of the transition metals continues to grow given their wide range of applications. In recent years, graphene with vacancy and structural defects have attracted increasing attention due to the fact that manufactured graphene is often not pristine, and crystal defects are considered useful in the context of modifying and engineering the band structure of graphene, hence altering both its physical and chemical properties significantly. Previous studies done on the Stone-Wales defect shows that C-C bonds associated with Stone-Wales defects are more reactive than the case for a perfect hexagon. In this work, we investigated the structural, electronic and magnetic properties of Co, Rh and Ir adatoms and dimers in various configurations adsorbed on a graphene sheet with a Stone-Wales transformation. We are interested in the change in bonding and the change in electronic and magnetic properties as a result of the presence of the metal adatom near the Stone-Wales defect by comparison to previous work done where the adatom was adsorbed on graphene with no defects. the results of this work will impact our view on the application of small metal clusters adsorbed on defected or non-defected graphene. Our results show that the Stone-Wales defect significantly increased the adsorption energy by 0.32 eV of a Co atom positioned at the hole site of a 6-carbon ring but the magnetic moment showed no significant change. Hence, the Stone-Wales defect could be used to significantly alter the stability of the adsorption of adatoms on graphene. © 2014 Low Raelynna. Today's universities are on the forefront of technological advancement which makes University's computing environment vulnerable because of its large open networks. this paper analyzed the security threats specifically evolve in University's network, and with consideration of these issues, proposed risk assessment framework for University computing environment. the proposed framework reduces the risk of security breach by supporting three phase activities, the first phase assesses the threats and vulnerabilities in order to identify the weak point in educational environment, the second phase focuses on the highest risk and create actionable remediation plan, the third phase of risk assessment model recognizes the vulnerability management compliance requirement in order to improve University's security position. the proposed framework is applied on Vikram University Ujjain India's, computing environment and the evaluation result showed the proposed framework enhances the security level of University campus network. this model can be used by risk analyst and security manager of University to perform reliable and repeatable risk analysis in realistic and affordable manner. © 2016 IEEE.

We adopt an ontology-driven information system design for research purposes. It is adaptable and extensible solution in the situation where the main features are the lack of a stable data model and changing and varying requests. We use ontology-driven design primarily as a collaboration tool for the research. Members directly collaborate and use this information system to ease them tasks with management of source/raw data, software applications and research results for its whole life-time. A different heterogeneous data kinds and a large volume data sets could be stored and shared together with its description meta data between research teams and its members in an uniform manner. It leads to an opportunity to process a stored data using proper methods and tools in a parallel and distributed computing environment. All achieved results are automatically stored and supplemented by an ontology-driven description meta data.

the mobile agent paradigm is an important and promising technology to structure distributed applications. Since the mobile agent physically moves to a remote host that is under the control of a different principal, it needs to be protected from this environment which is responsible for its execution. this problem constitutes the major difficulty for using the mobile agent paradigm for privacy protection and is explored in great detail. In this paper, we provide the methodology of protecting the mobile agents from unauthorized modification for the program code or data by malicious hosts. One important technique is an integrity-based encryption, by which a mobile agent, while running on the remote host, checks itself to verify that it has not been modified and conceals some privacy sensitive parts of the mobile agent

Redundancy, a method being designed to prevent failures due to software/hardware problem, is one of the most common applications in fault-tolerance systems. In this paper, we provide a multi-root I/O virtualization (MR-IOV) based redundant system architecture which supports high performance, reliability, and scalability to improve conventional redundant architecture with hardware multiplexer for the fail-over function. In order to fix this drawback, we proposed a redundant architecture to save these statuses in the shared memory, and the backup system will apply the states to fail-over primary host. From experiment results, we observe that the proposed architecture is feasible and it is better than the conventional redundant architecture.

Continuous media (CM) applications have very critical performance requirements. System resources (CPU, file systems, networks etc) have to be steered to deliver maximum performance. However, a big question mark springs up when it comes to reservation of these resources in an efficient manner. the concept of metascheduling is proposed which serves non-real-time clients just as well as real-time ones. the quintessential pillar of metascheduling, the CM-resource model is captured to the core in this paper. this model extends a mathematical treatment to the concepts of 'workload' and 'delay', proposes a pseudo code for reservation of multi-resources and describes the necessaries of compound sessions and its parameters. this paper not only converges on performance but also focuses on CM-resource model's support to various communication topologies
