Integrated radar and communications (IRC) waveform can be applied to perform radar and communication tasks simultaneously in a multifunctional integration system (MFIS). In order to solve the task scheduling problems of MFIS based on dynamic aperture partition antenna, a novel adaptive task scheduling algorithm based on IRC waveform is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the task scheduling optimization problem is established under the conditions of two-dimensional time and aperture resource constraints after establishing the multi-task models. Secondly, the proposed adaptive task scheduling algorithm makes use of the special IRC waveform characteristics of MFIS, function of time window of task and aperture resource to achieve the different kinds of tasks scheduling effectively. Finally, the simulation results show that the proposed algorithm increases the successful scheduling ratio and resource utilization ratio compared with the traditional multiple task parallel scheduling algorithms.

parallel processing systems are multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system and it can be used for improving speed and reducing power consumption of a system. In parallel system, throughput of any system is increased as it process multiple outputs in parallel. In this research, a high throughput and efficient parallel system of block size 4 is developed for 11tap (10 th order) Finite Impulse Response (FIR) filter. For designing this parallel system VHDL (VHSIC Hardware Description Language) is used and Artxi7 Basys3 FPGA board is used for implementation. this MIMO system operates at 1200KHz frequency and inputs for this MIMO system are generated by a serial to parallel converter circuits at frequency of 4800KHz. Vivado 2015.2 tool is used for doing synthesis, simulation and MATLAB is used for finding 11tap (10 th order) FIR filter coefficients. Designed and implemented parallel system is compared for area and speed with existing serial and parallel FIR filter architectures.

this project intends to use the recently developed OpenMP parallel computing method to integrate the minimum-maximum reclassification method with the factor table path tree method. then the different types of images are segmented. this method can decouple LU algorithm from other transient stability algorithms to realize parallel processing of multiple independent cores. Each core has high bandwidth and low latency reliable communication cut connections very close, capable of fine “multiple small” parallelism. According to the characteristics of hierarchical division of power grid, the communication time required in the implementation of this method is established, and the corresponding communication algorithm is given. this method can reduce the communication times required to solve the quadrative variables, improve the convergence of numerical simulation, and greatly improve the distributed parallel computing efficiency of transient stability. the experimental results show that the communication method proposed in this paper is feasible.

A high-speed image processing system for weak-dim target is proposed which is implemented with FPGA. In order to achieve the parallel of image acquisition and processing, the capabilities of the CMV4000, such as exposing the next frame during the read-out of the previous one, windowing and 16 data- output channels, are sued. Besides this, the ping-pang memory structure is adopted. this design achieves long exposure time and high image frequency in a imaging system based on large-scale plane array detector. Experimental results show that the exposure time of image sensor is about 20ms and the image frequency is 50Hz. the system can meet high speed detection and tracking requirements for weak-dim targets. Currently, the system has been applied to the actual project. © 2022 IEEE.

Atomistic simulations are a powerful tool to analyse the structure and the behavior of various biological molecules and are widely used in biochemistry studies. Currently, there are several software packages available which provide the algorithms for the numerical resolution of the physical equation necessary for the simulations. those softwares are demanding and need to handle a large amounts of resources, therefore the hardware in use has to be efficient in terms of performance and costs. Here we tested the Molecular Dynamics toolkit Gromacs on different platforms: Intel, AMD and ARM clusters are considered, also with the support of NVIDIA GPUs. During the tests energy consumption is measured in both idle and working case obtaining the energy to solution for every machine. While the highest performances are obtained with Intel we found that AMD and ARM servers are valid option if energy savings is considered alongside performance, the use of GPU gives a remarkable contribution to reduce consumption. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

Electrocardiogram (ECG) is an important non-invasive technique for diagnosing cardiovascular diseases (CVD). After acquiring the patients' raw ECG signal data, signal processing is essential for the diagnosis. Conventional ECG signal processing is usually performed serially, which takes a long time to process signals with large amounts of data. In this study, we have proposed a GPGPU-based algorithm acceleration system to improve the efficiency of ECG signal processing. this system utilizes OpenCL for parallel algorithm development on GPGPU. GPGPU executes certain steps in the QRS complex detection algorithm via parallel computing, thereby accelerating the algorithmic process. Experimental results showed that the system achieved a speedup of 1.279 compared to serial computing when processing 39 ECG signal sequences in parallel. In addition, our system has been equipped with a progressive transmission mechanism and a function that intelligently determines whether an algorithm can be accelerated. these features make this system practical not only in biomedical signal processing but also in engineering and research fields with large amounts of data.

In recent years, with the continuous recognition of the value of data, text sentiment analysis in natural language processing has gradually become a research hotspot in the field of artificial intelligence. In this article, we propose a multi-channel parallel algorithm. First, train the entire network by constructing a word embedding layer, map the vocabulary to a higher-dimensional space through word2vec. then the generated embedding matrix is integrated with the parallel classifier model based on TextCNN, LSTM and Transformer. We use web crawler technology to extract sentiment classification data set from various industries and multiple fields, and conduct comparative experiments on this data set. Experimental results show that the effect of this model is better than that of a single-kernel classifier model.

Modern processors experience memory contention when the speed of their computational units exceeds the rate at which data can be accessed in memory. this phenomenon is well known as the memory bottleneck and is a great challenge in computer engineering. In order to mitigate the memory bottleneck in classic multi-core architectures, a scalable parallel computing platform called Grid of processing Cells (GPC) has been proposed. To evaluate its effectiveness, we model the GPC using SystemC TLM-2.0, with a focus on memory contention. As an example, we parallelize an APNG encoder application and map it to the GPC and compare its performance to traditional shared memory processors. Our experimental results show improved execution times on the GPC due to a large decrease in memory contention. © 2023, IFIP international Federation for Information processing.

Artificial Intelligence of things (AIoT) systems are widely utilized in various domains such as smart logistics and smart health. In AIoT systems, computational tasks earmarked for offloading by IoT devices often have different task priorities and heterogeneous resource requirements. However, these factors will affect the QoS of the solution and the task response time. therefore, motivated by a typical smart warehouse system, a Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC) based distributed task offloading framework is proposed. Afterward, a delay-sensitive mixed-integer programming model is defined to address the imbalanced utilization of computing resources between edge and cloud servers during the offloading process. Finally, based on the attention mechanism, a Priority-Driven Multi-Agent Deep Reinforcement Learning algorithm (PDMA-DRL) is proposed to fulfill real-time resource requirements while reducing the task response time. the PDMA-DRL algorithm consists of two agents, and each agent corresponds to a sub-problem. Comprehensive experimental results demonstrate that our proposed PDMA-DRL algorithm can outperform representative existing methods in generating delay-sensitive task offloading plans and effectively reducing the task response time. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

the parallel Random Access Machines (PRAM) abstraction is the simplest and most elegant algorithmic model for the design and analysis of parallel algorithms. It consists of different models categorized based on the underlying memory access mode used, the most powerful of which is the Concurrent Read Concurrent Write (CRCW) model. A PRAM algorithm describes a series of rounds, each of which consists of a collection of operations that can be executed concurrently within the same time step. However, the lack of support for concurrent memory accesses and the prevalence of asynchronous programming models led to the belief that implementing CRCW PRAM algorithms is unattainable and prompted many to avoid this model except for theoretical studies of optimal performance. In this work, we study the arbitrary and common concurrent writes in the CRCW PRAM model and explore implementation challenges on general-purpose systems. Moreover, we examine current practices for implementing common/arbitrary concurrent writes and propose a new efficient lightweight and thread-safe method to implement concurrent writes through leveraging atomic instructions. To demonstrate the efficacy of our method, we developed OpenMP kernels for classical CRCW PRAM algorithms and provide experimental results and comparisons based on run time performance measured over the x86 multicore architecture. Our results show a performance speedup compared to current practices up to 4.5x across all our benchmarks.
