Nodes geometry can significantly influence the performance of 5 G positioning systems, it is hence crucial to optimize the nodes geometry to enhance the accuracy of positioning. this paper proposes a multi-level positioning scheme based on optimization of nodes geometry. Compared with conventional method, it improves the performance of locating obviously. In routine method, GDOP is used to evaluate the quality of nodes geometry. And this paper also provides a new scheme to judge the geometry. It reduces the system complexity distinctly, and only brings minor accuracy loss.

For a graph G = (V, E), a subset D of vertex set V, is a dominating set of G if every vertex not in D is adjacent to atleast one vertex of D. A dominating set D of a graph G with no isolated vertices is called a paired dominating set (PD-set), if G[D], the subgraph induced by D in G has a perfect matching. the Min-PD problem requires to compute a PD-set of minimum cardinality. the decision version of the Min-PD problem remains NP-complete even when G belongs to restricted graph classes such as bipartite graphs, chordal graphs etc. On the positive side, the problem is efficiently solvable for many graph classes including intervals graphs, strongly chordal graphs, permutation graphs etc. In this paper, we study the complexity of the problem in AT-free graphs and planar graph. the class of AT-free graphs contains cocomparability graphs, permutation graphs, trapezoid graphs, and interval graphs as subclasses. We propose a polynomial-time algorithm to compute a minimum PD-set in AT-free graphs. In addition, we also present a linear-time 2-approximation algorithm for the problem in AT-free graphs. Further, we prove that the decision version of the problem is NP-complete for planar graphs, which answers an open question asked by Lin et al. (in theor. Comput. Sci., 591(2015) : 99 - 105 and Algorithmica, 82(2020) : 2809 - 2840).

Deep Learning techniques have become the mainstream and unquestioned standard in many fields, e.g. convolutional neural networks (CNN) for image analysis and recognition tasks. As testing and validation of graphical user interfaces (GUIs) is increasingly relying on computer vision, CNN models that predict such subjective and informal dimensions of user experience as aesthetic or complexity perception start to achieve decent accuracy. they however require huge amounts of human-labeled training data, which are costly or unavailable in the field of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). More traditional approaches rely on manually engineered features that are extracted from UI images with domain-specific algorithms and are used in "traditional" Machine Learning models, such as feedforward artificial neural networks (ANN) that generally need fewer data. In our paper, we compare the prediction quality of CNN (a modified GoogLeNet architecture) and ANN models to predict visual perception per Aesthetics, complexity, and Orderliness scales for about 2700 web UIs assessed by 137 users. Our results suggest that the ANN architecture produces smaller Mean Squared Error (MSE) for the training dataset size (N) available in our study, but that CNN should become superior with N > 2912. We also propose the regression model that can help HCI researchers to foretell MSE in their ML experiments.

Quantum computing is a rapidly growing field. Quantum algorithms play a significant role and have applications in cryptography, machine learning, optimization, and computational issues [1][2]. they quantum features like entanglement and superposition that help carryout tasks that would be difficult for a classical computer. More Interest has been developed in Quantum algorithms due to their ability to solve specific computational problems quicker than that in classical algorithms [3]. these algorithms use fundamentals of quantum physics to carryout calculations quickly and effectively than traditional algorithms. Here in-depth analysis of quantum algorithms and classical algorithms is done by looking at the time and space complexity of quantum and classical algorithms including their capacity to tackle specific types of ***, we conduct a general comparison of Classical and Quantum Algorithm along with Background and motivation. We also discuss Simon's algorithm first and then Grover's algorithm in depth and their comparison with few other algorithms in a table format [5][6][7][8]. We also cover some recent advancements, Quantum supremacy, Post-Quantum Cryptography, 8 Quantum Artificial Intelligence, Hybrid Quantum-Classical algorithms and few other important parameters. We also discuss the plausible impact of quantum algorithms on cybersecurity and cryptography [13][9]. Overall, this comparative study shows the uses and challenges involved in implementing quantum algorithms while offering an overview of quantum algorithms. We conclude by the fundamental ideas of quantum algorithms. Adding to this we also discuss the challenges and limitations of using quantum algorithms in practically. At the end, we provide a summary of the primary findings from this comparative study of Quantum and classical algorithms.

Recently, it has been shown that the Guessing Random Additive Noise Decoding (GRAND) algorithm is promising for decoding cyclic redundancy check (CRC) codes. However, the decoder has a daunting complexity in order to achieve a satisfactory performance, which is a burden for practical implementation. In order to address the problem, we propose a low-complexity algorithm, called the Hybrid Metric GRAND (HM-GRAND) algorithm, for decoding CRC codes based on the GRAND algorithm. the proposed algorithm uses an algebraic decoder to limit the number of candidate error patterns in the GRAND algorithm, which can significantly reduce the decoding complexity. Moreover, we design an effective adaptive quantization scheme for the HM-GRAND algorithm. Simulation results suggest that the proposed HM-GRAND algorithm has comparable performance with the GRAND algorithm. In addition, the performance loss caused by the designed quantization scheme is negligible. © 2021 IEEE.

In recent years, LPWAN technologies play a major role in the IoT field due to their wide radio range, use of free frequency bands and low power consumption. Among these technologies, Long Range WAN (LoRaWAN) transmits across several kilometers with data rates of up to 5.5 kb/s, making it useful for applications such as smart city monitoring, 1 precision agriculture and environmental monitoring. However, LoRaWAN only supports one-hop communication between endpoints and gateways. On links several kilometers long, LoRaWAN signals may encounter obstacles or interference, affecting the reception of packets. therefore, several studies have been proposed to create different LORAWAN network architectures depending on the required applications in order to create multi-hop communication and improve LoRaWAN performance. In this article, we are going to study and review the different routing protocol algorithms of LoRaWAN nodes, highlighting their principles in order to compare them according to different metrics and on multiple requirements such as load balancing, energy efficiency, network complexity. algorithm...etc. In addition, we describe different challenges to improve the performance of these algorithms for LoRaWAN. © 2022 IEEE.

Micro Doppler is an important feature of the micro motion. Micro Doppler analysis plays an irreplaceable role in the recognition and detection of moving targets such as human motion, ground vehicles, helicopter rotors, small boats, sonar. In the micro Doppler analysis, period estimation is one of the important applications. Although the motion states (parameters) of micro motion parts are different, the period is the same. the period estimation algorithm based on cross-correlation can only estimate the period of micro Doppler curves without additional translational motion, and is susceptible to noise interference. In this paper, a short-time similarity framework is introduced for the micro Doppler analysis and parameter extraction of human body parts with additional translational motion. this is an evaluation system based on cross-correlation, which can provide more accurate period estimation for micro Doppler signal with additional translational motion. In this paper, the short time ambiguity function entropy and the sparse Bayesian algorithm are combined to estimate the period of Doppler curves of human body micro moving parts (arms, feet, legs) and the remaining parameters of Doppler curves. By using the Boulic model of the human body, the simulation experiments have verified the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm framework. Compared with other micro Doppler analysis algorithms, this algorithm framework can accurately separate micro Doppler curves of different parts in a shorter time.

We present new results validating the capability of a high-fidelity computational simulator to accurately predict the responses of individual patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome to changes in mechanical ventilator settings. 26 pairs of data-points comprising arterial blood gasses collected before and after changes in inspiratory pressure, PEEP, FiO(2), and I:E ratio from six mechanically ventilated patients were used for this study. Parallelized global optimization algorithms running on a high-performance computing cluster were used to match the simulator to each initial data point. Mean absolute percentage errors between the simulator predicted values of PaO2 and PaCO2 and the patient data after changing ventilator parameters were 10.3% and 12.6%, respectively. Decreasing the complexity of the simulator by reducing the number of independent alveolar compartments reduced the accuracy of its predictions.

In order to fully utilize the advantages of massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems, accurate channel state information (CSI) must be obtained. In this paper, we focus on the downlink channel estimation in a frequency division duplex (FDD) multi-user massive MIMO system where spatial channels of adjacent users share group structure. Based on this property, we propose a low-complexity variational Bayesian inference algorithm by dividing the spatial channel support set into a public part and a unique part. then, we introduce the generalized approximate message passing (GAMP) algorithm in the parameter update process to avoid complex matrix inversion, which greatly reduces the computational complexity. the simulation results show that our method has better estimation performance and lower computational complexity compared with the existing counterparts. © 2021 IEEE.
