Among various approaches to explication of Data-Information-Knowledge-Wisdom Hierarchy (DIKW) we advocate a logic-oriented approach. It stems from analysis of the notion of wisdom which often is understood as the ability to think and act in a profound way. But thinking and acting are notions of logic. this poses a question of explication of all notions of the DIKW hierarchy on the basis of logic. We try to give such explications in integrity of three levels of consideration: methodological (philosophical), conceptual (scientific), and formal (mathematical). Categories of the philosophical level are projected (are finitized) to scientific and then to mathematical levels. At the latter levels notions are considered in integrity of their intensional and extensional aspects. We start with the notion of intensionalized data, then specify information as interpreted intensionalized data, and describe knowledge as a logic over such data. At last, wisdom is treated as an ability to choose and utilize a logic necessary to solve a formulated task. the complexity of the notion of wisdom is illustrated by an example of Floyd-Hoare logic with partial conditions. the proposed intensionalized explication of DIKW notions can be considered as some generalization of traditional extensional explication of these notions. © 2021 IEEE.

the cognitive complexity of a software determines the human comprehension effort to determine its underlying logic. the human comprehension effort preliminary depends on the person, who deals with the software, the source code and the problem to be addressed. the understandability of a given source code is varying with each user such that the cognitive complexity results with a subjective measurement. the graphical representation of the logical behavior of a source code implies the individual to comprehend the logic easily rather than referring to its original code base. this paper evaluates the possibility of using control flow graph representation to reduce the cognitive complexity of a given source code, thereby ensuring a less software complexity. © 2022 IEEE.

Battery is the key component and main trouble source of an electric vehicle (EV). With the rapid growth of market share, thermal runaway caused by malfunction of batteries have been frequently reported, so fault diagnosis is critical to ensure safety and to improve performance. Unfortunately, most of the existing fault diagnosis methods only focus on the identification of voltage anomalies on single cell level, ignoring the characteristics on macro system level. Consequently, without obvious abnormality in voltage, faults of certain types can hardly be caught. this paper proposes a novel fault diagnosis method based on Kolmogorov complexity, which can quantitatively describe the degree of confusion over battery pack level to identify potential risk. the proposed method is verified by real EVs operation data collected through the National Monitoring and Management Center for New Energy Vehicles, where clear correlation between the increased level of Kolmogorov complexity and thermal runaway is observed. As a simple conclusion, the proposed method can be an important supplement to traditional fault diagnosis methods. © 2023 IEEE.

Youngsters often face stress, pressure, and various challenges in today's fast-paced world. the need for yoga arises as a powerful tool to alleviate stress, promote mental well-being, and enhance resilience. the purpose of this research is to present an innovative approach to personalized yoga practice by leveraging deep learning and computer vision techniques for real-time monitoring and correction of yoga poses. the system consists of mood-based yoga recommendation, yoga pose detection, yoga pose estimation, and pose correction. through the seamless integration of Singular Value Decomposition (SVD), YOLOv3, PoseNet, and an angle heuristic algorithm, this work ensures accurate analysis and correction of the user's yoga poses, facilitating an effective and personalized yoga experience. By addressing the lack of personalization and emotional oversight prevalent in traditional yoga practices, the work aims to promote emotional balance, stress relief, and physical wellness. through this innovative approach, the work endeavors to transform the traditional paradigm of yoga practice, offering a more personalized, effective, and holistic wellness experience for practitioners. © 2024 IEEE.

Given a graph G(V, E), a q-coupon coloring of G refers to a coloring f:V→[q] such that the following is true for all v∈V: for all i∈[q], there exists u∈N(v) such that f(u)=i. Given a graph G, the q-Coupon Coloring problem is to decide whether G admits a q-coupon coloring. the q-Coupon Coloring problem is shown to be NP-complete. We initiate the study of parameterized complexity of the q-Coupon Coloring problem. It is implied by existing results that parameterization by q is unlikely to admit FPT algorithms. We study the q-Coupon Coloring problem parameterized by structural parameters including neighborhood diversity, twin cover, distance to clique and treewidth of the graph. We show FPT algorithms when the parameter is neighborhood diversity, twin cover and distance to clique and prove tight lower bounds when the parameter is treewidth. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

Efficiency in power dispatch systems is critical to ensure as it depends on the optimal resource utilization and maintaining grid stability. As power systems evolve into data-intensive environments, traditional centralized computing platforms are challenged to efficiently process information. To address this, the use of distributed computing and storage technologies is developed. In addition, the integration of advanced technologies such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and big data analytics can further enhance the performance and scalability of power dispatching systems. this study investigates the application of cloud optimization techniques in refining automation within power dispatching systems. Specifically, it explores the integration of cloud computing technology to improve data processing algorithms and efficiency challenges in power grid systems. through a proposed methodology that incorporates a distributed data service bus, massive data storage systems, and dynamic load balancing mechanisms, the study aims to improve system reliability, real-time responsiveness, and accuracy. In addition, the study discusses the optimization of real-time load forecasting and dispatching strategies using time series analysis, statistical methods, and emerging machine learning techniques. the effectiveness of the proposed approach is demonstrated through simulation and verification, highlighting the improved system efficiency and reliability achieved through cloud optimization in power dispatching systems. © 2024 IEEE.

this paper presents a generic method for transforming the source code of various algorithms to numerical embeddings, by dynamically analysing the behaviour of computer programs against different inputs and by tailoring multiple generic complexity functions for the analysed metrics. the used algorithms embeddings are based on r-complexity [7]. Using the proposed code embeddings, we present an implementation of the XGBoost algorithm that achieves an average 90% F1-score on a multi-label dataset with 11 classes, built using real-world code snippets submitted for programming competitions on the Code-forces platform.
