It is difficult for children to build electronic building blocks. In order to facilitate users to build building blocks, this paper designs and implements an electronic building block auxiliary system based on machine vision. the system uses the deep learning object detection model PP-YOLOv2 to detect the building block pictures taken by the user, obtain the location information of all the two-dimensional code in the pictures, and then decode the two-dimensional code, perform perspective transformation on the pictures, and obtain the final two-dimensional code decoding information and location information. Finally, the position of the QR code identified by the building blocks on the user’s picture is crossed and compared with the position of the standard building blocks, so as to determine whether the building blocks placed by the user are correct and give the user a prompt. the system test shows that the system is not only easy to use, but also easy to maintain, and can correctly handle most of the small and medium difficulty examples in the electronic building blocks course. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Social media platforms which include Twitter, Reddit, Instagram, and YouTube have emerged as key information sources during emergencies or natural disasters. However, in the case of Twitter, it might be challenging to distinguish the tweets that are genuinely informative due to the overwhelming number of tweets that are sent during these occurrences. this study proposes a method for classifying the tweets as "informative" and "non-informative" using natural language processing. the technique considers the tweets’ subjects, hashtags segmentation, and locations for pre-processing. BERT, RoBERTa, LSTM, and DistilBERT are four different NLP models that have been trained and tested. the findings will indicate the highest classification accuracy for determining if a tweet is informative or not. Our findings reveal that DistilBERT achieved the highest accuracy of 92.0% in testing and 89% in precision of the Twitter dataset. © IFIP international Federation for information processing 2024.

Recently, how to handle the situation where only a few samples in the dataset are labeled has become a hot academic topic. Semi-Supervised Learning (SSL) has shown its great capacity and potential in this topic. However, existing methods tend to focus more on the relationship between unlabeled samples and labeled samples or focus on unlabeled samples' information while rarely exploring the hidden information between unlabeled data of the same category. To address this shortcoming, we use an intra-class similarity measure to exploit the information between unlabeled samples of the same class and, on this basis, introduce a new intra-class similarity loss term. In addition, to improve the accuracy of pseudo-labels in deep semi-supervised learning, we also propose an adaptive expansion of the Label Propagation algorithm. the proposed method outperforms many state-of-the-art results in CIFAR-10, CIFAR-100 and Mini-ImageNet. the experimental results show that adding the intra-class similarity loss term and the adaptive extension improvement to the deep semi-supervised learning model can effectively improve the model's performance. © 2022 IEEE.

Despite the rapid progress in the field of emotion detection using NLP models, there is a noticeable gap in the literature concerning direct and comprehensive comparison between models of existing benchmark approach in transfer learning and zero-shot learning. this paper presents a comparative analysis of emotion detection models by investigating the potential of a distilled zero-shot student model compared with EmoRoBERTa pretrained model in text-based emotion classification task. Our data points are specifically focused on academic-related text responses, which are manually labeled using GoEmotions taxonomy. A key methodology decision was retaining the stopwords in the training corpus, as their removal degrades the model's performance, indicating their significance in understanding the context of emotional expressions. Finetuning results revealed that distilled zero-shot student model outperformed the EmoRoBERTa model across all performance metric scores, achieving an impressive 84.21% accuracy and a parallel 84.23% F1 score. Efficiency in training was also observed to be a significant advantage of the distilled zero-shot model. It demonstrated more stable training progress with less pronounced overfitting compared to the EmoRoBERTa model. Moreover, the distilled zero-shot student model demonstrates excellent predictive ability to distinguish between various emotions, particularly those with distinct expressions. It is proved to be effective in accurately identifying most emotions, particularly excelling at desire, gratitude, and neutral classes. However, the model encountered challenges in classifying emotions like optimism and realization, suggesting future improvements on how to better represent them in the corpus. © 2024 IEEE.

Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD) is a highly contagious and economically devastating viral infection that impacts cattle worldwide. the quick and accurate detection of LSD in cows is paramount for effective disease management and containment. In this paper, we harness the capabilities of machine learning, particularly using the TensorFlow framework, to create a robust and automated model for the early identification of LSD in cattle. © 2023 IEEE.

the common problems of less user information and missing item ratings in recommended systems greatly affect the accuracy of recommending users. Aiming at this problem, a collaborative filtering algorithm based on comprehensive similarity of attributes is proposed. computer vision systems usually require a large amount of arithmetic processing to get the required information. Field-Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) can be programmed to easily modify their internal logic functions to achieve high-speed hardware processing and parallel operations, making them a more convenient solution for high-performance embedded vision systems. the power consumption of FPGA-based embedded vision systems is much lower than that of traditional Central processing Unit (CPU)-and Graphics processing Unit (GPU)-based vision systems, and System Generator, jointly introduced by MathWorks and Xilinx, reduces the need to implement algorithms for image processing using hardware description languages (HDLs). In this paper, by using Xilinx System Generator (XSG) in a FPGA to implement some algorithms for coin classification, including coin image interference background removal, binarization, etc. this coin classification scheme is verified and validated by using XSG in Matlab/Simulink. © 2022 IEEE.

Model checking verification is a formal and fully automatic method widely used for checking critical and complex systems. In order to improve the service quality of the smart library, the ant colony algorithm is used to optimize the design of the retrieval method of educational information digital resources of the smart library. Collect educational information digital resources of smart libraries, complete preprocessing and integration operations for different types of digital resources, and extract the characteristics of digital resources. Establish a search engine for educational information digital resources. With the support of the search engine, use ant colony algorithm to determine the optimal path of resource retrieval, and get the final retrieval results of educational information digital resources. through the performance test experiment, it is concluded that the precision and recall of the optimized design method are increased by 7.35% and 10.55% respectively, and the retrieval response time is significantly shortened compared with the traditional method. © ICST Institute for computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering 2024.

CAA software is developed to extend the scope of applications of CATIA, whereas the CAA provides no API to implement the encryption of CAA software, which is to the disadvantage of protecting the security of CAA software and the intellectual property right of developers. this paper proposed an encryption technology of CAA software based on the asymmetric encryption algorithm: RSA, and hardware information extraction, to implement offline and multi-point encryption, with the advantages of rapid encoding and decoding speed, simple authorization, and high security. © 2022 IEEE.
