there are many 3D formats used for displaying 3D objects and supporting interactivity, sophisticated lighting and cinematography, and media integration of geometry, text, images, sound, vector graphics and video. Some of these also permit access to virtual scenes on the Web, and many permit some sort of programmatic scripting of the scenes. A few of these are VRML, X3D, MPEG4 and a variety of game engine formats. For reasons of processing speed and availability of 3D libraries these formats are generally implemented in native C/C++ code. However, these languages may not be the most elegant languages to use for artificially intelligent control of 3D for dramatic narrative, believable speaking characters, dynamic cinematography and stage management. A good alternative is the Java language which provides very productive syntax and a body of developed application code for control and management of 3D scenes. We first present an analysis of the problems of interfacing Java to 3D rendering systems, and some preliminary solutions in the context of interfacing Java to VRML. Finally we present a Java interface which is defined independent to the underlying 3D representation and format. this solution makes it possible to abstract out the particular field types used in the 3D rendering platform. therefore a Java control system using the interface presented should be simple to port and integrate with any 3D rendering system using any 3D format

Stateful Inspection has become a classical technology for network firewall. Existing session table architectures of Stateful Inspection firewalls cause high time cost of timeout processing. A new architecture is proposed. the new architecture divides a session entry into two separate parts, and designs different data structures for each other. On the base of multi-queue architecture, dynamical timeouts according to available resource improve securities of protected hosts against SYN flood attack. Experimental results show that the new architecture can work well in Gigabit Ethernet network.

As quality-guaranteed services, such as voice and streaming services, are required over Internet, traffic engineering based on an MPLS technology is being introduced. In MPLS traffic engineering, information related with service's quality requirements is forwarded through routers on a quality-guaranteed path by an MPLS signaling protocol. Routers on the quality-guaranteed path forward traffic for the specific service under the control by its predefined quality requirements. As one of MPLS signaling protocols, RSVP-TE protocol transmits and processes periodic protocol messages for maintaining the soft state of a quality-guaranteed path. Such characteristic gives a heavy processing overhead to routers for maintaining states of large number of paths. In this paper, we implement a scalable and load-efficient RSVP-TE without dramatically increasing processing overhead. And we evaluate the processing overhead on periodic messages by implementing the RSVP-TE protocol and the reduction mechanism of periodic messages.

Text summarization will be a very important function in next generation e-business-intelligence-service. While human beings have proven to be extremely capable summarizers, computer based automated abstracting and summarizing has proven to be extremely challenging tasks. the dominant approach to text summarization is selection-based, by which the most content-bearing sentences or passages are identified and selected to compose a summary. However, the results from such a process often suffer from flaws such as incoherent content and poor readability due to unclear relationships between the selected text excerpts, dangling references, and so on. In this paper we present a process model of topic guided text summarization - TIDE. By directing the content selection process with identified topic structure of the text, the logical relation between the selected sentences is captured and better presented, which will also be valuable resource for a more complete and precise understanding of text meaning in the next stage of processing.

this paper presents a study examining users' perceptions of privacy relating to mobile phone usage, and more specifically on the use of short message service (SMS) messages. the study also looks at the reasons for mobile phone ownership, and user perceptions on possibilities for added privacy with mobile messaging communication. the user study consisted of a written survey of 119 people and ten interviews. Results confirm that most respondents feel mobile phones are private and personal devices, and that SMS messages are perceived as more private than normal calls. this research found user privacy is guarded by widely accepted, unwritten rules of treating phones and messages as confidential.
