IOTA (Internet of things Applications) protocol aims to provide a secure and trustworthy protocol for realizing data-value interactions between IoT devices, and it has become the next possible direction for the development of Blockchain applications. IOTA protocol has the problem that the time-consuming cumulative weight update grows too fast with the increase of the number of transactions, this paper proposed an improved IOTA protocol based on optimal midway walk, the improved protocol uses cutting-edge transaction selection algorithm of weighted Monte Carlo Markov random walk to reduce cumulative weight update delay. Firstly, this improved IOTA protocol mainly ensures the efficiency of transaction confirmation without losing the security of consensus by introducing the optimal midway walk method, i.e., the starting point of each walk is chosen to depart at an optimal location. Secondly, this paper designs the indirect verification identity record algorithm and the layer degree of confirmation principle are designed to realize the improved IOTA protocol's resilience and resistance to Parasite chain attack. the experimental results show that the improved IOTA using random function to select the midway walk starting point from i-50λ, to i-75λsubstantially solves the system computational burden problem and greatly reduces the cumulative weight update delay. © 2023 IEEE.

Sign Languages are a unique family of languages that use visual cues rather than verbal means for conveying meaning and a mode for communication. they are extensively used by the deaf and dumb community. Sign language interpretation is a skill with a steep learning curve and is quite essential to understand for accessibility concerns. But with the current advancements in computer vision, recognizing human action and translating sign language into text is possible. this paper proposes a system that uses a combination of MediaPipe holistic (for human pose estimation), graph neural networks, and the Electra transformer to interpret and classify the 3D skeletal data of the signed word. the proposed model predicts the word signed using Graph Convolutional Network (GCN) with Natural Language processing (NLP) to utilize the context for the word being gestured. Using this approach the model achieves around 97% accuracy on words signed based on its context which is comparable to State-of-the-art models. © 2022 IEEE.

this paper presents an experimental study of the use of Deep Learning using Convolution Neural Networks (CNNs) for Image Classification. Specially, the problem being addressed here is of recognition of handwritten digits. the objective is to report variations in testing errors and accuracies with varying kernel size and varying number of feature maps. We performed handwritten digit classification using neural network and deep learning for a subset from the MNIST dataset, which contains 60,000 training images and 10,000 test images in all. It is observed that the accuracy and loss are stabilizing with minor change in the kernel size and the number of feature maps. © 2022 IEEE.

In response to the problem of unsatisfactory recognition and positioning of material seam welding caused by changes in illumination, an image processing-based seam welding recognition method is proposed, through the steps of image feature extraction, improved BP seam welding and non-seam welding image classification, seam welding image recognition and positioning, etc. MATLAB simulation shows that the image processing-based seam proposed in this study welding recognition method can be effectively identified in different lighting conditions to locate the seam welding of steel pipe material, and the detection rate with overlap recognition reached 91.5%, with a false alarm rate of 7.2%, and the detection rate without overlap recognition was 86.3%, with a false alarm rate of 4.3%. Compared with the traditional ostu identification, this study method has higher detection rate and better performance. © VDE VERLAG GMBH ∙ Berlin ∙ Offenbach.

Visually recognizing thai food is indeed a challenging task and tradition methods have achieved historically low classification. While deep learning operation allows users to identify thai cuisine and visually distinguish thai food, it often includes complex meanings. the deep learning approach has shown very satisfied results in such challenges. therefore, this study focuses on presenting methods and techniques for noise reduction of thai food images used in image recognition. A total of sixty thousand sample images were used in the experiment. Results revealed that the method offered highest reliable accuracy of 94.16%. © 2022 IEEE.

With the increasing demand for automated detection of bolt connection parameters in the industrial field, there is an urgent need for the position information of bolts to guide the operation of automated equipment. therefore, this paper proposes a bolt visual positioning method that combines depth maps and color images. Firstly, outlier points are eliminated from the depth map using histogram analysis. the points of the bolt bottom are projected onto a two-dimensional plane through depth slicing, and the coarse positioning of the bolt is achieved using the Density-Based Spatial Clustering of Applications with Noise (DBSCAN) algorithm. then, a circle detection method based on arc-support line segments (ASLS) with pre-processing using bicubic interpolation is applied to detect multiple candidate circles in the color image. Finally, the centroid position obtained from the depth map clustering is combined to obtain the final bolt positioning results. Experimental results show that the bolt spacing absolute error using the proposed method is less than 2.2 mm, validating the effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2023 IEEE.

the World Wide Web contains a wide range of material from a variety of fields. However, when concerns towards the computer science domain, information users find on the internet may not be up-to-date due to the rapid pace of change and having to spend less time on the internet for researching and debugging tasks is an added luxury. Having an expertise level while providing answers through a platform is convenient for users, yet when a user signs into a platform, the user must start from the beginning, regardless of the level of competence in the field. Moreover, not having a proper way to evaluate the existing programming knowledge is another obstacle. To address mentioned complications, researchers of this paper have introduced a new e-learning platform- 'ProbExpert'. the platform has been constructed with machine learning and deep learning approaches such as NLP, keyword extraction, semantic information analysis, cosine similarity, and information summarization. With aforesaid technologies, ProbExpert provides systems in automated answering, optimized answer generation, structured question-based quiz evaluation together with a fully automated portfolio generation with a novel user ranking algorithm based on the bell curve. © 2022 IEEE.

With the rapid development of the tourism industry, the volume of tourism information has increased exponentially, making it difficult for tourists to obtain the tourism information they need, which has become the main factor restricting the development of the tourism industry. In order to solve the above problems, the research on vertical search method of tourism information based on mixed semantic similarity is proposed. the Heritrix web crawler is used to collect tourism information and de duplicate it. On this basis, the Nutch structure is used to process tourism information, calculate the mixed semantic similarity between tourism information and known topics, and determine the corresponding topics of tourism information based on this, and develop an adaptive vertical search algorithm for tourism information. the vertical search results of tourism information can be obtained by executing the formulation algorithm. the experimental data shows that after the application of the proposed method, the maximum recall rate of vertical search of tourism information is 96%, the maximum precision rate of vertical search of tourism information is 98%, and the minimum response time of vertical search of tourism information is 0.56s, which fully proves that the proposed method has better application performance. © ICST Institute for computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering 2024.

Furthermore, it is impor¬tant to detect it as soon as it arises and prevent it from posing a threat and damage to society. this paper aims to build a fire detection model that can not only detect the fire in the video sequence but also deter¬mine the class it belongs to by considering the background where the fire is detected. this can prove to be beneficial for the first responders to determine the type of fire extinguisher to be used in order to subdue the fire. Assessing traffic surveillance data is a prevalent utilization of deep learning methodologies. Video processing techniques were employed to develop the system aimed at determining the velocity of vehicles. the analysis of video speed is conducted without the requirement of camera calibration. Frame subtraction and masking techniques are employed to effectively segregate moving vehicles. the suggested system comprises four primary components. Object detection techniques are employed in the initial phase to identify and locate moving vehicles within a given footage. Real-time vehicle recognition leverages the utilization of R-CNN and deep learning techniques. In the subsequent section, algorithms are employed to observe the movement of objects within individual video frames. Optical flow methods are employed in the third segment to ascertain the velocities of the respective vehicles. In the preceding part, the proposed work have utilized image processing techniques in conjunction with deep learning methodologies to accurately decipher the license plates of the automobiles under our surveillance. the experimental evaluation involving the utilization of traffic film demonstrated a system performance of 97% in precisely quantifying speed while achieving a license plate identification accuracy of 95%. the incorporation of state-of-the-art traffic management systems has facilitated the implementation of real-time speed monitoring and license plate reading capabilities. this facilitates the deterrence of automobile theft and the implementation of traffic regulations. Additionally, the methodology has the capability to identify traffic patterns and pinpoint regions of congestion, thus assisting in the effective management of traffic. © 2023 IEEE.
