In this paper, we address the problem of smoke plume segmentation from background clutter. Smoke plumes can be generated from fires, explosions, etc. In the mining industry, plumes from blasts need to be characterized in terms of their volume and concentration, for example. Plume segmentation is required in order to start such an analysis. We present a new image processing approach based on a fast local Laplacian filtering (FLLF) technique. In addition, we discuss how we designed and executed our own field experiments to acquire actual test data of smoke plumes from RGB video cameras. Lastly, we show how the FLLF technique can be used to generate thousands of training samples with applications in machine learning. Results show that the FLLF technique outperforms state-of-the-art approaches (i.e., SFFCM and an approach by Wang et al.) when tested using metrics such as Accuracy, the Jaccard Index, F1-score, False Alarms and Misses. An incremental update algorithm of athlete physical training information based on dynamic iterative sampling is proposed to address the problems of lack of real-time and low computational efficiency in the process of athlete physical training information analysis. the dynamic iterative sampling technique is combined to collect large-scale athlete fitness data, obtain athlete fitness training information based on the incremental update framework, map the existing athlete fitness training data input values into the high-dimensional feature space of the informational network, and combine with the incremental learning algorithm to perform fast updates to better understand the athletes’ fitness status. the experimental results show that the root mean square error, the average relative error and the correlation coefficient of the samples after the application of this algorithm are better. It reflects the athletes’ physical training situation more accurately and has certain application value. © ICST Institute for computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering 2024.

Aiming at the needs of civil market tasks such as autonomous swimming display of pools in the aquarium and special tasks such as intelligent autonomous patrol in specific water areas, this paper proposes a task driven control method for manta robot to circumnavigate around the shores. We equip the robot fish with a complete information sensing network and realize its driving and yaw control basing on the CPG phase oscillator network. We generate an offline look-up table by using fuzzy control method, and realize the closed-loop control of heading by looking up this table. Basing on the requirements of the circumnavigation task, we propose a real-time obstacle avoidance strategy combined with the infrared range sensor information. Finally, we build an experimental pool platform to conduct underwater alongshore circumnavigating experiments of the robot fish, and the experimental results prove the effectiveness of the overall scheme. © 2023, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

With the improved capabilities in data acquisition, scientific visualization using volume rendering has to deal with more and more complex situations. these data contain fine and intricate structures with a large number of holes that pose huge challenges for efficient empty space skipping. Inspired by OIT (Order-Independent Transparency) algorithm, this paper proposes an object-order empty space skipping approach based on the per-pixel linked list. We innovatively combine the independent ray-casting of each volume brick with the OIT algorithm to achieve efficient rendering of sparse volume data. Experiments show our method has better performance than skipping all of the outer empty space via rasterization of tight-fitting bounding geometry. © VDE VERLAG GMBH ∙ Berlin ∙ Offenbach.

Bibliometric analysis is a branch of library and information science that uses mathematical statistics to quantitatively describe, evaluate, and predict academic status and forwarding trends. It usually contains certain characteristics of literature that can be quantified. Based on the basic information processing unit, this paper uses cluster analysis technology to study the development status of general music appreciation courses in comprehensive colleges and universities. Based on the principles of scientometrics and information visualization in computer programs, using Citespace information visualization software, Quantitative analysis was carried out on more than 350 literatures in the research field of general music appreciation courses in Chinese comprehensive universities provided by CNKI database, and corresponding knowledge maps were drawn. through the analysis of knowledge map, the current situation of general music appreciation courses in comprehensive colleges and universities is further clarified, and some ideas are provided for the development and exploration of general music courses in the future. © 2022 ACM.

In the industrial production line, putting several small packages into large packages with the required arrangement rules still requires a lot of manual work to complete. In order to solve this problem, we build an automatic robot grasping system based on robotic arm, industrial camera and a uniform-speed conveyor, which can automatically put small packages into large packages. We use the YOLO algorithm to identify the position, category and number of small packages. the number of snacks identified is utilized to plan the degree of gripper closure. the trajectory of the small packages can be predicted according to the speed of the conveyor and the position of small packages on the robot coordinate system, then we fuse multiple predicted trajectories to form a complete and coherent robot arm trajectory to grasp the small packages and put them into large packages. this system can save a large amount of labor and reflect the intelligence of the robot. © 2023, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Image watermarking is an effective means of hiding and reading information. However, the process of printing out an image and then taking a picture of it, also known as the print-cam process, introduces major noises such as geometric distortion and picture blurring as well as color degradation. It is a strong attack party. Digital image watermarking is often not robust to print-cam attacks. In this paper, we propose an effective image watermarking method against print-cam attacks embedded in the composite domain of the image. the B channel of the image is selected for watermark embedding. Firstly, the Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) transform is performed on the image, and then the blocks in the LL sub-band are taken and the Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) is performed, finally the embedding of watermark information is completed by modifying the middle frequency in the frequency domain. When extracting the watermark, Scale-Invariant Feature Transform (SIFT) feature points are firstly used to calculate the image feature points, and then the matching calculation between the feature points is calculated to get the perspective transformation matrix of the photographed image and corrected. the experimental results show the method has the ability to resist the print shooting attack when the watermark has less effect on the image quality. the means of adjustment is also proposed to ensure the wide applicability of the algorithm, which can meet the needs of many application scenarios in real life. © 2022 IEEE.

Although in the present, there is email notification, a posting, and a phone notification that connect directly with the user, they are insufficient to keep the user interested, which becomes a problem impacting the service users' library satisfaction. the user eventually forgets what they have been told since they likely tend to just skim through a notification [1]. the researcher experimented with using AI technology to answer questions from library users via the LINE application in order to meet their requirements and improve the quality of library services. Regarding AI technology, when users text a message that matches the response requirements, it can answer the user's questions about the location of the book, book categorization, opening hours, and other relevant questions, which frees up the librarian's time to focus on other tasks. AI answering services can gather users' requests and utilize them to enhance the development of answers. Users can also interact with the system without time limitations since AI technology is always acting as a librarian [2] to meet user satisfaction. In regard to the BCNPYLIB CHAT BOT experiment, it was discovered that the satisfaction assessment results encouraged learning (libraries), which led to an improvement in the quality of library service management. A library subtopic and an assessment list of 'consistent notification of information related to the service, new activities, and information resources of the library' demonstrated a significant increase of 0.45 percent among nursing students in years 1-4 and nursing teachers, leading to the development of the quality of library service management. the developed system will contribute to user satisfaction with the library's services in the future © 2022 IEEE.

We examine the agricultural sector's current status and draw attention to some of the main problems that farmers encounter. Recommendation algorithms are often used in shopping, movies, music and other fields because of their excellent performance in solving the information explosion problem. Although it has been around for a long time, its application in education has always been rare and lagging behind. In order to improve the applicability of the recommendation algorithm in the field of online arts education, and to solve the imperfect problem of professional knowledge system construction caused by the lack of paths in the learning process for arts professional knowledge learners, this paper proposes to combine the knowledge graph of the arts field with a novel knowledge graph recommendation method. An algorithm Co-RippleNet is introduced, which overcome RippleNet's lack of explicit interest extraction by combining it with the co-word network. And through experiments compared with other recommended methods, it shows that this method has better performance on the education. © 2022 IEEE.
