the actuator, serving as the fundamental power source of a soft robot, functions as its central component. the field of soft robotics has garnered increasing research attention since its inception. Pneumatic crawling robots, being an essential branch within the realm of soft robotics, possess notable characteristics such as rapid response time, cost-effectiveness, and human-computer interaction safety. Consequently, they hold significant research value. Among various types of crawling robots that have garnered considerable interest from researchers is the inchworm crawling robot. this paper aims to address the design and development aspects pertaining to inchworm actuators. By utilizing ABAQUS simulation software and taking displacement as the reference parameter, an analysis was conducted to investigate the impact of various geometric parameters on actuator displacement. Additionally, optimization of these geometric parameters was performed. the values of aspect ratio, length-to-width ratio, vertex angle and gap depth suitable for inchworm-like actuator are obtained. these findings are presented for the first time in the field of crawling soft robots and provide a theoretical basis for the development of pneumatic inchworm-like actuators. © 2024 IEEE.

Multimodal news recommendation is a challenging problem due to the rapid expansion of Internet information, bringing different levels of knowledge expression such as text, images, audio, and video, etc. In this paper, we propose a multimodal news recommendation method based on a deep reinforcement learning framework to represent user interests as multimodal information. the proposed method feeds the multimodal fusion feature into the rainbow agent of deep reinforcement learning to learn news representation. the experiment on the MIND and IM-MIND datasets give the result of AUC, MRR, nDCG@5, and nDCG@10 scores, which outperform LSTUR, FIM, and DKN, NRMS, NPA, and DeepFM models. It shows that reinforcement learning is an excellent choice to fulfill recommendation tasks, and the multimodal fusion feature is effective for learning accurate news representations. © 2022 IEEE.

Write operation of the latest storage media such as NAND SSDs has certain restrictions. Data can only be written in an additional write mode. When erasing, some valid data still needs to be written again, which will cause write amplification. Researches about write amplification focused on conventional NVMe protocol and did not consider some forward features. In response to this problem, this paper designs a user-mode write operation optimization algorithm based on the dynamic adjustment of zone space. When the block is erased, the impact caused by write amplification can be significantly resolved, and operations of multiple tenants can be effectively isolated. the Zone Based Algorithm will implement a mapping algorithm based on zone space, and select a suitable GC to maximize the performance. We also designed and implemented a variety of mapping algorithms and GC algorithms to improve the processing efficiency of IO requests. Experiments based on FEMU show at least 25% improvement when increasing data of different life span. © 2021 IEEE.

this paper designed a portable detection device for apple sugar content combined with a mobile phone-based on near-infrared spectroscopy technology. We aimed to determine the band range suitable for apple sugar content detection by selecting the characteristic band and completing the high-efficient, portable, and low-cost non-destructive detection of apple sugar content through the combination with a mobile phone. Cell phone cameras can capture effective near-infrared diffuse reflectance spectra. To realize the conversion, we select 15 different kinds of apple (red Fuji, rock candy hearts, marshal Plotkin) in four different parts of the acquisition. the beneath refractometer is used to measure the spectral information standard. the 60 points of data collected were used to establish a regression prediction model of apple sugar content by the partial least square method. Finally, two apples of the above three kinds were selected to test the model. the average relative error obtained was 5.07%, and the minimum measurement error of the rock candy heart was 2.92%. © 2022 IEEE.

Maritime target tracking can be applied in the fields of intelligent marine transportation and resource protection. the spectral filter tracking method focuses on the adaptability of the local appearance changes of targets, with the graph representation. Considering the complexity and diversity of the marine environment, we propose a maritime target tracking algorithm based on kernelized spectral filter. the spectral filtering is modeled as a tracking framework based on kernel regression. According to graph signal processing and spectral graph theory, based on the description of kernel regression on graph signals, we deduce and discuss the construction of the filter, the calculation of kernel matrix, the solution of kernel regression model, and the prediction of tracking position. With the help of a nonlinear model, it can effectively improve the precision under complex tracking conditions. the experimental results on the benchmark dataset verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, especially when the target tracking is affected by waves or wakes. © 2022 IEEE.

With the development and application of artificial intelligence, advanced control theory, mobile communication, and IoT technologies, the Maritime Autonomous Surface Ship (MASS) has gradually entered the development characteristics period of remote control (Level 2). Based on the review of development dynamics and application cases of the remote-controlled ship in recent years, it analyzes the impact factors of operator takeover behaviors from three aspects: network communication, system control performance, and traffic scenarios, it proposed a new development direction of the remote-controlled ship, which could provide theoretical support for scholars in related fields. © 2023 IEEE.

With the increasing complexity of oil drilling operations, the probability of accidents in drilling operations has increased dramatically, which seriously affects the quality and efficiency of drilling operations. this paper studies the drilling accident case retrieval method by monitoring the well leak and well kick risks in real time during the drilling process, which can assist engineers in making decisions to reduce the losses due to the occurrence of well leak and well kick accidents. Based on the cloud platform environment, this paper investigates the method of building an intelligent cases push system for drilling accident with the architecture of microservices. By analyzing and designing the system, it provides users with the functions of real-time monitoring of drilling operations and accident case recommendation, and lays the foundation for the intelligent construction of drilling and completion operations. © 2022 IEEE.

With the development of Marine, aquaculture, and other fields, the lack of accurate detection of target fish numbers in the process of fishing and aquaculture has become increasingly prominent, so it is particularly important to study an algorithm to detect fish numbers for daily operations such as fishing and aquaculture. In this paper, the traditional watershed algorithm based on morphological processing is studied to detect the number of target fish. According to the morphological characteristics of fish, a detection scheme of an improved watershed algorithm was proposed. MATLAB was used to increase the process of dividing adhesion regions, mark the edge points of feature, calculate the area of a single connected graph and count the number of labeled regions. Experimental results show that the proposed scheme has a better segmentation effect than the traditional watershed algorithm. this study preliminarily explored the detection method of the target fish population, which can provide a reference for the subsequent detection of the target fish population in the process of Marine fishing and aquaculture. © 2022 IEEE.

Aerial-aquatic unmanned vehicle(AAUV) is a new class of vehicles capable of operating in multiple domains, specifically in the air and water. these vehicles can glide on the water surface using onboard hydrofoil. Accurate depth measurement is required to ensure closed-loop control of its water surface gliding. Existing methods of measuring water depth usually use a single sensor so that accuracy could be improved, but some methods are not suitable for mounting on autonomous vehicles. To address the above problems, a fusion method based on adaptive weighting and Kalman filtering is designed to make the final depth results more accurate. the accurate depth measurement obtained during AAUV gliding ensures stability during the process. Compared with a single pressure sensor using only the Kalman filter, the average error of the fusion result is reduced by 53.1%, and the maximum error is reduced by 61.6%. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is easy to implement and improves accuracy and stability. © 2024 IEEE.

Aiming at the problem that it is difficult to obtain the optimal parameters and performance of nonlinear active disturbances rejection controller (ADRC) by the method of conventional empirical turning, a parameter tuning method based on improved differential evolution algorithm (DE) is proposed to enhance the accuracy of the controller. Firstly, to balance the global and local search abilities appropriately, the random neighborhood-based mutation strategy is proposed. In addition, a history-driven parameters self-adaptation method is implemented to enhance the accuracy of the optimization and accelerate the searching progress. Lastly, the generalized opposition-based learning (GOBL) scheme is applied to avert the DE getting trapped in local optimum and improve the diversity of the population. the result of optimized ADRC shows that it has less overshoot and higher control accuracy. After adding external disturbance, the optimized ADRC can still maintain perfect performance of control which indicates that it has good anti-interference ability. © 2022 IEEE.
