In this paper, a novel approach is presented to HVDC tap changers using power electronics technology. the traditional tap changer, typically based on mechanical mechanisms, is prone to wear and tear, and it can result in limited control precision. this is compensated by using IGBT as the power electronic switch for the tap changer. the proposed Power Electronic Tap Changer (PETC) offers several advantages over conventional solutions, including faster response times, precise control, reduced maintenance requirements, and improved reliability. the PETC leverages high-power semiconductor devices, such as insulated gate bipolar transistors (IGBTs), and advanced control algorithms to efficiently adjust the transformer's turn's ratio. It provides the ability to dynamically adapt to varying load conditions, ensuring optimal performance and power quality in the HVDC system. © 2024 IEEE.

the development of communication technology enables the rapid integration of traditional industries and the Internet industry. With the impact of the current global epidemic, the online teaching platforms have become increasingly important. In order to achieve the integration of various learning resources, we design a python-based online teaching system, which consists of two modules: front-end and back-end. the former displays the information of each learning resource, and the latter provides a platform for administrators to manage the webpage. Specifically, the system adopts a cross-platform and low-cost B/S architecture, the background code utilizes the Python language, the front-end web structure employs the Django framework, and the entire construction process follows the Html5+CSS+JS standard. In addition, the system uses the PyCharm compiler and MySQL database during programming. Finally, the system passes the black-box test during the design process, demonstrating that the functions of each module can be used normally and the practicability of the system can also be guaranteed. © 2022 IEEE.

In this paper, an effective method of capsule endoscope image classification based on IN-RESCA-SVM+ is proposed. the inception-residual network is adopted in this method, and the channel attention mechanism is integrated into the residual network to extract the image features, and then the improved SVM+ classifier based on SVM(Support vector machine) is used for classification, which can make full use of the features of the deep neural network to better classify the endoscope images, thus achieving the effect of automatically classifying the endoscope images by computer and improving the diagnosis efficiency of doctors. We use WCE dataset to test our algorithm, and the maximum top1 precision 98.4% is obtained. © 2022 IEEE.

this paper investigates the potential of decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) in transforming traditional governance systems in higher education institutions. Utilizing a case study, it explores the implementation of a university DAO on the Web3 platform, which leverages blockchain technology, smart contracts, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and a user interface to facilitate transparent, secure, and efficient democratic governance. the proposed system empowers students, faculty, and staff to engage in decision-making processes, fostering a more inclusive university community. Despite its potential, the system faces limitations such as reliance on an isolated development environment, legal concerns, and scalability challenges. this paper highlights the opportunities and challenges in adopting blockchain-based DAO technology in higher education. It provides insights into its impact on university culture, stakeholder satisfaction, and overall educational quality. © 2023 IEEE.

this paper is oriented to the needs of XR home entertainment applications and demonstrates diverse application scenarios based on the VPModel Pro platform. Learning and exploring new fields such as product design and musical instruments often require high costs and thresholds, on the other hand, low-fidelity and low-interactivity product prototyping tools can dampen people's enthusiasm for exploration. the VPModel Pro platform proposed in this paper enables high-fidelity rendering of simple physical objects and integration with real physical prototypes in XR scenarios. the development of the platform involves technical difficulties such as object detection and real-time matching of virtual information to the target model, as well as gesture detection and action recognition during user operation. To realize the development of VPModel Pro, the platform uses physical hardware (HoloLens) and machine learning algorithms as development tools. We also invited 6 participants to experience the practical application of the VPModel Pro platform and explore new directions for the application of the platform. this paper describes the development process of VPModel Pro and the diverse applications based on the VPModel Pro platform, which provides a direction to explore XR technology towards the mass daily consumer market.

the field of automatic modulation classification using deep neural networks has undergone significant development in recent years. In this research, M-QAM and N-PSK modulation formats have been considered for classification. the deep neural network architecture is directly fed with raw signals that are often corrupted with channel noise and fading effects such as Rayleigh and Nakagami. the proposed classifier structure also incorporates normalized cumulants of higher order from the received signal. the proposed DNN architecture's performance is evaluated by comparing its efficiency for raw data and extracted features-based classification. We have validated the classifier efficiency through three different cases. Our proposed classifier demonstrates remarkable capability in efficiently classifying modulation formats. © 2024 IEEE.

the flow field structure of bipolar plates has an important impact on the performance of proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs). Ideal flow field design improves water management capabilities and mass and heat transfer, thereby enhancing the overall performance of the fuel cell. this article combines the traditional serpentine flow channel (TSFF) and the radial flow channel to design the radial serpentine flow field (RSFF). CFD simulation shows that the current density of RSFF is increased by a maximum of 31.2% and the power density is increased by a maximum of 21.5% compared with TSFF. Moreover, due to the higher pressure drop, the water management capability of the flow field is improved. © 2024 IEEE.

In simple terms, lung cancer is a significant challenge that the fields of science and medicine are working hard to overcome, which gives the highest mortality rate, besides being one of the smallest survival rates after diagnosis. thereby, early detection is essential for diagnosis and treatment. All people in this universe require a proper diagnosis of the tumor. Diagnosis need to be in maximizing the payoff. Increasing the payoff is much important mainly in medical diagnosis. Machines need to do an intelligent task in diagnosis of tumor and in this case the lung tumor. Here, the investigation is done with different solvers. Deep learning with a Convolutional Neural Network compatible with the analysis of Computer tomography scans with tumors, the level of accuracy in predictions sees a tremendous enhancement. Classification of tumors by Convolutional Neural Network as malignant or benign with good accuracy is obtained. © 2024 IEEE.

this paper elaborates the use of Cloud computing and IoT for farmers. this brings the farm-land to the farmer's doorstep. Greeniot is a comprehensive Internet of things solution to help farmers for execution of agricultural operations in smarter and efficient ways. the high-precision sensors are used to provide proper data for assessing soil quality, detect diseases in plants, predict ambient conditions, sunlight, humidity, moisture, and pH required for production and data driven farming for better crop production and smart use of farming resources. the devices are mapped to the local server and the data is sent to the server. the server can retain the data for some time and then transfers it to the cloud-based platform, which then provides predictive analytics for specific plant and crop models. Using this technique farmers can get all the analytics, insights, and personalized recommendations in layman's language on a mobile app. © 2022 IEEE.
