the key problems that influence plant health and crop yield quality are leaf disease and pests. To improve crop production many advanced technologies are deployed. One of the predominant technologies is the incorporation of Deep Learning (DL) techniques. DL supports numerous training and testing models that are suitable for smart agriculture. Real-time detection of plant diseases and pest detection is made simpler and more efficient by using DL models. this paper provides an extensive survey of the DL techniques associated with agriculture automation and discusses the latest models focusing on leaf disease detection and pest identification. To select the best features and to optimize the accuracy of the results, an optimizer is identified and an enhanced deep learning model is proposed. the VGG16 and YOLOV5s models are deployed with ADAM optimizer. the results illustrate that the proposed optimized approach achieves an accuracy of 98.71% for leaf disease detection and 97.52% for pest detection. © 2023 IEEE.

Smartphones have made resource-intensive mobile applications indispensable in everyday life. To meet predetermined requirements and lighten the weight of such challenges brought on by the swift expansion of such serving technologies, distributed mobile edge computing (MEC) was developed to bring compute environments closer to end-users, frequently in a single step. To bridge the gap between the two, offloading techniques have been developed in the literature to shift resource-intensive tasks from mobile devices to nearby servers. there are many new concerns in the MEC context that make compute offloading problems more complex than ever before. these include the inherent software and hardware heterogeneity, constraints, ecosystem dynamics, and stochastic behaviour. the research also took into account a number of indicators relevant to computation offloading strategies in MEC. In this research, we provide a review of computation offloading strategies in the MEC setting in order to identify existing methods on this important topic and to raise unresolved challenges. the survey concludes with a case study illustrating MEC's applicability in the medical field. © 2022 IEEE.

Gamification is a technique that uses game mechanics and aspects to engage and inspire people to complete a task. Gamification has grown in popularity in several industries recently, including software development. the purpose of this systematic literature review (SLR) is to review the most recent findings in the field of gamification's application to agile methodology between the years 2015 and 2024. With the help of search terms like "gamification," "agile methodology," and "game mechanics," "agile development," a thorough scan of databases including the IEEE Xplore, and Scopus was carried out. Articles and studies released in English were examined. Data were extracted analysed using a spreadsheet to organize information such as study design, sample size, research setting, kinds of game mechanics used, and major findings. To combine the results from the chosen studies and discover any recurring themes or patterns, a thematic analysis method was used. the findings of this SRL points to areas for further study and contributes to understanding the benefits and best practices of using gamification in agile methodology and provides insights for practitioners and researchers in the field. © 2024 IEEE.

Alzheimer's disease is a progressive and debilitating neurodegenerative disorder that poses a significant public health challenge worldwide. Early detection and prediction of Alzheimer's disease are critical for effective treatment and care. this research paper presents a novel approach for predicting Alzheimer's disease using machine learning methodologies. Our study leverages a diverse dataset that includes clinical, genetic, and neuroimaging data from individuals at various stages of the disease. through rigorous preprocessing and feature selection processes, we extract relevant features and apply advanced machine learning algorithms. Our results demonstrate the efficacy of this approach in accurately predicting the onset and progression of Alzheimer's disease. the model's high accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity suggest its potential as a valuable tool for clinicians and researchers. Furthermore, our study highlights key factors contributing to the prediction and offers insights into the underlying biological processes of the disease. this research holds promise for early intervention and personalized patient care, ultimately contributing to improved management of Alzheimer's disease and enhancing the quality of life for affected individuals and their families. © 2024 IEEE.

Aspect Based Sentiment Analysis (ABSA) is a kind of Sentiment classification which allows us to associate sentiments to primary features (Aspect Category) of the object or entity. First, we derive Sentence Vector and sentiment features for a review sentence. then, we propose algorithms for extracting n-gram features (NGram) and Category Association Word features (CAW). this paper experiments with these four sets of features for building the Ensemble Model for Category-based polarity determination. the result compared with the state-of-the-art reveals that there is improvement in performance for major aspect categories. We also derive an extended Hindi ABSA Category dataset and compare our models’ results. the results show that the accuracy of this subtask ranges from 50% to 76% among four significant domains. © 2022, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Considering the high requirements for the safety of switchgear equipment and the extremely large amount of data in the process of equipment condition monitoring, a preprocessing method based on K-means clustering of switchgear equipment operation data is proposed. the method firstly selects evaluation parameters from multiple fault problem aspects to ensure the reliability of condition monitoring;then it considers the characteristics of different data volumes, quantifies the non-data volume information, and forms a unified data format;finally, it concentrates the massive operation data through K-means clustering algorithm. Using this method to analyze the switchgear operation data of a city in North China, an accuracy index is introduced to evaluate the performance of the algorithm in the clustering task, and the experimental results show that the method can realize the normalization and effective compression of switchgear equipment operation data. © 2024 IEEE.

Tracking an object in the indoor environment has attracted researchers due to the increased randomness and interference compared to the outdoor environment. these factors reduce the precision of popular localization algorithms in an indoor environment. this paper proposes a fusion of three machine-learning methods to address this issue. this method combines feedforward neural network (FFNN), eXtreme gradient boost (XGBoost) and support vector machine (SVM) to estimate location over a set of WiFi location fingerprints. the experimental results show that the method significantly improves the precision of the output position in both case studies, with high test accuracy. Nevertheless, the paper's limitation lies in the assumption of a consistent environment or with objects moving under 1 m/s. © 2024 IEEE.

Nowadays, recommender systems play a crucial role in human lives. the recommendation process is involved in many items and many users' decision is based on this process. Collaborative filtering technique is one of the widely applied techniques in various types of recommender systems that uses the reviews of products and services. Word2Vec is adopted to extract information from the users' comments made on the items they bought. To group the items into definite sets, the clustering algorithm is used. A deep collaborative conjunctive recommender (DCCR), which is a hybrid approach. It consists of the combination of an autoencoder which extract the user and item features along with a multilayered perceptron which represents the interaction them. By applying together, the modern technique of deep learning and the traditional technique of collaborative filtering, the proposed system extract some set of the features like the features from users, explicit and implicit ratings to items along with user information. the proposed system uses real-world datasets to achieve effectiveness. © 2023 IEEE.

Moving targets on the ground would affect the radar detection performance for low-altitude, slow-moving, and small (LSS) targets. this paper proposes a transmit beam control algorithm for phased array radar to minimize the radiation directed at the ground. By minimizing weighted vector norm and implementing different notch level, the admired beam can achieve a deep notch in the region associated with ground moving targets and maintains good mainlobe and sidelobe performance. Moreover, the designed beam is insensitive to array imperfections. the optimization problem can be converted to a second-order cone programming (SOCP) problem and solved with readily available solvers. In addition, the amplitude normalization is implemented on the optimized weight vector to make full use of emission power. Simulation results verify that the proposed approach can synthesize transmit beams that can meet the requirements of mainlobe loss minimization, low sidelobes on the ground side, and deep notch for the ground moving targets. © 2022 IEEE.
