Multinational companies are taking advantage of the services provided through a cloud service provider (CS P). It is generally observed that, the companies provide customized services to the user as an added benefit rather than using the initial services. the motive of the proposed study is to build a trusted relationship between the user and service provider. this study analyzes several parameters to scale up an approach by adopting advanced technologies. In this study, a matrix has been prepared by including the utility value for the fruit factors used by the user. Compatibility connection between multiple customers are also measured by obtaining services from the particular company. the proposed matrix can identify the actual use of the significant cloud computing features. © 2023 IEEE.

In current history, cloud computing has dramatically changed the media. Despite the many advantages, specific problems often arise. Dynamic resource scaling and power usage are the major problems in cloud computing. these considerations contribute to an unreliable and expensive cloud framework. the working load forecast is one factor that enhances cloud reliability and operating costs. Exactness is the main element in predicting workload and current methods lag in achieving 100% reliable outcomes. Scientists are still continuously striving to better it. throughout this article, we introduce a framework of workload prediction utilizing a cluster-based approach to machine learning. Based on the forecast workload, we consider predicting that same amount of time even before the expected time to allow enough time for the job schedule. We add a clustering-based prediction approach to increase the prediction accuracy further. Initially, we group all activities in many classes and afterward train a prediction model for every class. © 2022, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Data prefetching is a widely used technique to alleviate "memory wall"problem by fetching the data that may be touched in the near future in advance. Generally, data prefetching is classified into hardware prefetching and software prefetching. Compared to hardware prefetching, software prefetching is more flexible, and typically achieves higher prefetch accuracy. Currently, Sunway multiple-core processor only supports hardware prefetching. To study how software prefetching perform on Sunway processor, in this paper, we first migrate the software data prefetching in the GCC complier to Sunway processor. then we tune the loop-level prefetching cost model according to Sunway processor's hardware features. Finally, we conduct experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of the tuned software prefetching. Results show that, compared to the baseline where no prefetching is applied, software prefetching delivers an average speedup of 1.08x (up to 2.46x) and 1.16x (up to 1.88x) for SPECint 2006 and SPECfp 2006 benchmark suite, respectively. Moreover, software prefetching outperforms hardware prefetching for both benchmark suites. this demonstrates the efficacy of software data prefetching. © 2022 IEEE.

Computer vision systems usually require a large amount of arithmetic processing to get the required information. Field-Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) can be programmed to easily modify their internal logic functions to achieve high-speed hardware processing and parallel operations, making them a more convenient solution for high-performance embedded vision systems. the power consumption of FPGA-based embedded vision systems is much lower than that of traditional Central Processing Unit (CPU)-and Graphics Processing Unit (GPU)-based vision systems, and System Generator, jointly introduced by MathWorks and Xilinx, reduces the need to implement algorithms for image processing using hardware description languages (HDLs). In this paper, by using Xilinx System Generator (XSG) in a FPGA to implement some algorithms for coin classification, including coin image interference background removal, binarization, etc. this coin classification scheme is verified and validated by using XSG in Matlab/Simulink. © 2022 IEEE.

Segmentation of images is a computer procedure that involves dividing an image into separate and distinct regions of pixels. this method is often accomplished by using filters or labeling. the U-net architecture, which is based on convolutional neural networks (CNNs), is widely used in the domain of segmentation of images. Nevertheless, a notable limitation of the U-net's design is in its diminished potential for learning in the more complex aspects of the model. Instead of using the stochastic gradient descent (SGD) method, researchers have proposed an alternative optimization technique called Adam to instruct deep learning models. Adam's method successfully utilizes the benefits provided by the Momentum and RMS Prop algorithms, allowing it to efficiently manage gradients with low density in situations with high levels of noise. the U-net design may be enhanced with the integration of the Adam algorithm. © 2023 IEEE.

With the automation and complexity of industry, the production planning and scheduling of the smart factory depends on the proper functioning of each part. As a key component of rotating machinery, the faults of rolling bearing is prone to effects under complex and changing working conditions and coupled with other components. therefore, it is necessary to carry out efficient and accurate fault diagnosis for rolling bearings to ensure the reliability and stability of mechanical equipment operation. this paper introduces a multi-scale rolling bearing fault diagnosis method (MSF-CNN) based on dilated convolution which is able to automatically capture complementary data and feature information of different scales of the original vibration signal through multi-scale convolution to achieve end-to-end fault diagnosis. the experimental results show that the proposed fault diagnosis method achieves an average accuracy of 99.35% under three load conditions. In addition, this method can provide the cross domain data solution to reduce the dependence on missing label data, which achieves the fault diagnosis accuracy of 89+%. It verifies the validity of our proposal. © 2021 IEEE.

Glass insulators are essential for ensuring high-voltage transmission lines’ safe and efficient operation, facilitating reliable power transfer over long distances. However, accurately localizing defects in insulators that are rotated poses a challenge. To address this challenge, this paper proposes a novel approach for detecting broken insulator defects, utilizing a single-stage object detector model integrated with the concept of oriented bounding boxes. By converting annotations to the YOLO OBB format, the model can detect the defect on tilted insulators, enhancing the accuracy of defect localization. Experimental evaluations showcase the superior performance of this approach compared to the conventional YOLOv8 model. the YOLOv8n-OBB model, in particular, demonstrates a remarkable mean Average Precision (mAP@50) of 96.9%, representing a significant advancement in glass insulator defect identification. this innovative method enhances defect detection accuracy and contributes to the overall reliability and efficiency of high-voltage transmission line maintenance and operation. ©2024 IEEE.

Internet of things (IoT) and wearable sensors enabled the possibility of measuring activities of daily living (ADLs). the accuracy and precision of detecting stroke patients' movements, using wearable sensors and analyzing data by implementing the advancement of machine learning and ensemble learning technology can enhance the stroke patients' remote assessment techniques. therefore, this paper aimed to apply ensemble in addition to the machine learning models on the Xsens sensors dataset derived from wearable sensors and collected from twenty stroke survivors. then, we compare the performance of the single model with the bagging and boosting ensemble learning methods to detect the affected hand of the stroke survivors from the non-affected hand. the results indicated that the ensemble techniques such as GentleBoost and AdaBoost achieved the highest model performance with 91.2% and 89.6% accuracy, respectively in comparison with other single machine learning techniques as well as other ensembles. It was also noted that the subspace ensemble techniques achieved the lowest accuracy, recall, and specificity compared to the Decision Tree. © 2021 IEEE.
