Dementia is a broad category of brain diseases that cause long-term and often gradual decrease in the ability to think and remember. It affects the day-to-day activities of a patient. the purpose of our work is to implement a cost-effective, IoT solution for patients suffering with dementia. Our work is a fog computing based implementation of the proposal by Boumpa ***. [1]. the paper [1] mentions that having an edge/fog architecture could lead to additional requirements for custom-owned platform and design of new smart speakers. In our implementation work, we use android phones as smart speakers. this removes the need of production of new smart speakers and a custom-made platform. Our system is modular and scalable. the data is saved locally owing to privacy requirements. the system helps locate the patient in the house by using the signal strength of Bluetooth Low Energy devices. After triangulating, the speakers play a sound associated with the relative or caretaker, so that the patient can identify the relative. Subsequently, the system also informs the relative of the location of the patient in the house. © 2022 IEEE.

the role of medical image detection and segmentation in medical treatment is increasingly prominent. It provides users with timely and accurate diagnostic and therapeutic information, thereby improving the efficiency of medical care. However, the current clinical practice often relies on medical image segmentation methods that require significant human-machine interaction, falling under the category of semi-automatic segmentation. these methods are limited by their dependence on users and face challenges regarding efficiency, accuracy, and *** address these issues, we propose an automated medical image segmentation method using advanced deep learning models. We have developed a plugin that integrates this method into open-source medical image processing software, facilitating its use by industry professionals. the results obtained from testing on medical images of different organs demonstrate the high accuracy of our automated segmentation tool, highlighting its efficiency and precision advantages. © 2024 IEEE.

Visualize your digital twin residing in a virtual environment where you could test every choice, prepare for any surprise, and create your best and most prosperous existence in life. Imagine your digital twin living in a virtual world. As more variants can be explored through simulation, analysis and design cycles are shortened and better optimized results are ensured. through the device's lifecycle, the results of simulations can easily be shared for additional purposes rather than remaining stranded in closed environments. By digitally mirroring important data and behavior, a digital twin makes this possible. In doing so, it makes tasks like configuration, condition monitoring, and prediction simpler. To support decisions made on the production floor, this data can also be accessed on mobile devices, for instance with the use of augmented reality. On similar lines, in this paper modern technology used in creating a Digital twin step by step and simulating it with simulation software is explained with the help of a case study of industrial Box Lift Machine along with communication feature like OPC UA and Human machine interface HMI. Latest modern technology for Simulation and Digital Twin is explained along with its practical implementation. © 2023 IEEE.

To solve the problem of low voltage level and discontinuous power supply of photovoltaic power supply, a non-isolated high-gain three-port DC-DC converter based on Y-source impedance network is proposed in this paper. the proposed converter has continuous port current, which is more suitable for distributed power supply. the proposed converter can operate in four different operating modes. In this paper, the voltage gain of the converter is derived by analyzing the working principle in different modes. A control strategy is proposed to achieve the seamless switching between maximum power output and constant power output of photovoltaic power supply on the premise of maintaining constant output power, so as to ensure the maximum energy utilization efficiency. the simulation results prove the feasibility of the converter and control strategy. © 2024 IEEE.

Marker-based Augmented Reality (AR) technology has gained substantial attention in recent years due to its potential to enhance user interactions with the real world by overlaying digital content onto physical objects. this research paper presents a prototype mobile application of marker-based AR technology called MapEdu in the form of an interactive Indian map designed as an assistive technology for children. the primary objective of this study is to explore the feasibility and effectiveness of using marker-based AR within a mobile application to create an interactive and engaging learning experience for children, specifically focusing on the geographical and cultural aspects of India. the proposed mobile application aims to provide an educational platform that seamlessly blends digital text information with real-world geographic maps, enabling children to explore and learn about various states, cities, landmarks, and cultural elements of India. the findings of this paper highlights the benefits of interactive learning through AR, particularly in subjects that involve spatial and geographical concepts. the MapEdu application's effectiveness as an assistive technology for children can pave the way for the integration of AR into educational curricula, fostering a more immersive and engaging learning environment. © 2024 IEEE.

When the surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor(SPMSM) is in the stage of high-speed weak magnetism, the parameters such as flux linkage and resistance will be perturbed. In order to improve the accuracy and reliability of the observation position of the nonlinear flux linkage observer, this paper has designed a nonlinear observer sensorless algorithm based on parameter identification under field weakening control. the algorithm has high observation accuracy, good dynamic performance and strong robustness, and for the problem of high-speed field weakening parameter variation of the motor, the system can update the motor parameters through parameter identification, and still accurately observe the rotor position of the motor, which further improves the accuracy and reliability of the system. the simulation results prove the correctness of this algorithm. © 2024 IEEE.

Control flow conversion replaces a series of control-dependent instructions with only data-dependent instructions. Sunway compiler uses this technology to eliminate pipeline pauses caused by conditional branch statements, thereby improving the instruction-level parallelism of the overall program. Based on the instruction set characteristics and structural characteristics of the Sunway processor, the improvement is made for the inaccurate calculation of the control flow conversion cost in the RTL stage in the Sunway compiler. In the control flow conversion benefit judgment algorithm, by adding control flow basic blocks the execution frequency of the branch statement is weighted to calculate the expected value of the execution cost of the basic block of the branch statement to improve the accuracy of the cost calculation during the conversion process. Using SPEC2006 Benchmarks to test the performance of the improved compiler on the new generation of Sunway 1621 server, the overall performance is increased by 2%, and the maximum performance of a single subject is increased by 6%. this work improves the control flow conversion in the Sunway compiler. Efficiency is of great significance in order to give full play to the performance advantages of the domestic Sunway processor architecture. © 2022 IEEE.

this paper deals with hash based secure chaotic steganography technique for hiding secret information, into the cover image. Hash function has been used in the proposed work for computing the Non LSB positions for hiding the secret data bits. Secret is encoded with chaotic sequences and randomness of the sequences has been validated with NIST test suite. Shared memory implementation for faster execution of the proposed security technique has been done in OpenMP platform. Sequential and the parallel versions of the techniques have been implemented in C++, OpenMP and simulated in the Intel Haswell processor based multi-core environment. With the advantages offered by multicore processors the proposed technique ensures low time complexity. Significant speedup and linear scalability have been reported with increase in the number of threads. Standard statistical validation test results viz. PSNR, Euclidean distance, histogram analysis, SSIM index applied to validate the quality of stego image show satisfactory results. © 2022 IEEE.

the use of Internet of things (IoT) technology inside healthcare systems has the potential for significant breakthroughs in the treatment and monitoring of patients. Nevertheless, this convergence also gives rise to noteworthy security apprehensions, namely about safeguarding confidential medical information and ensuring the reliability of networked equipment. this article suggests using Multichain blockchain technology as a strong approach to improve security in IoT healthcare contexts, to address these concerns. Multichain blockchain provides a distributed, unchangeable, and resistant-to-tampering method of storing data, guaranteeing the privacy, accuracy, and accessibility of patient information while reducing the dangers linked to centralized data repositories. Using a Multichain blockchain architecture in IoT healthcare systems enables the establishment of trust among many stakeholders, mitigates the risk of illegal access, and enhances the security of data exchange across diverse devices and platforms. this presents a comprehensive summary of the suggested methodology and its possible ramifications for augmenting security in healthcare environments provided by the Internet of things. © 2024 IEEE.

the inference speed of convolutional neural networks is a key factor for their application in the industry. the two research directions of non-sparse model acceleration and sparse model acceleration are now studied independently. In this paper, we propose a hybrid granular pruning method and a fixed-length binary pruning index scheme, based on which a compatible acceleration architecture is further designed. the hybrid granular pruning method is realized by executing fine-grained pruning after coarse-grained pruning. the binary pruning index scheme ensures a simple fixed-length binary mask to index valid weight positions no matter the model is pruned or not, thus makes it possible for an accelerator compatible with both non-sparse models without pruning and sparse models with hybrid granular pruning. An acceleration architecture is further designed, using a new data layout, a buffer-pipeline mechanism for the data buffering, and converting the Winograd algorithm into matrix operations with parallelism carried out from three aspects. the experimental results suggest that, our proposed acceleration solution shows not only better acceleration performance but also excellent compatibility, and it can be directly applied for the acceleration of models at different pruning levels without recompilation. © 2021 IEEE.
