Pneumonia is a disease that is caused in the lungs and result in many deaths. this is a type of infection, where the air sacs(alveoli) of the lungs will be filled with fluid or pus. the fluid formed inside the lungs is the result of a mixture of bacteria, viruses, fungi, or chemical irritants. the lungs swell due to this fluid. this can happen in one or both lungs. this infection can be seen most commonly in people above 60 years and children under 5 years old. Usage of antibiotics cures pneumonia Chest X-Rays plays a major role in detecting the pneumonia. Early analysis utilizing Computer-Aided Diagnosis (CAD) prevents pneumonia. Several Deep Learning (DL) approaches have been developed to detect pneumonia using CAD systems. A hybrid Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) model is proposed based on Machine Learning (ML) classifiers. this mechanism detects if a person has pneumonia or not. this mechanism is attached to a user interface where people can use and know whether they have pneumonia or not. © 2023 IEEE.

the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic has hardened the biometric recognition, authentication, and cryptographic process based on facial features due to masks coverage. the Biometric cryptosystem (BCS) consisting of touch sensing biometric, such as fingerprint, palmprint, vein, is no longer in use in this scenario. In this context, other key-based biometric cryptosystems based on facial biometric may underperform. thus, there is a need to simulate existing and implement novel biometric cryptosystems based on other biometric cues such as Ear, Face, Iris, Gait. this paper introduces a novel method for biometric key generation based on Scale Invariant Feature Transform (SIFT). the obtained key is used to encrypt/decrypt the data. At enrollment stage, the biometric key is obtained which subsequently encrypts the data and authentication phase decrypts the secret upon successful biometric match. the proposed method is compared with the state-of-art methods on three datasets namely AMI (ear), FACES (face), and UBIPr (iris). the metrics used to evaluate the performance of proposed method include: NPCR, UACI, PSNR, Correlation, MSE, MAE, SSIM, NRMSE. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

In vast university campuses and other large indoor environments, promptly locating individuals poses significant challenges to productivity and communication. Conventional methods, such as relying on maps or asking for directions, often prove inefficient and frustrating, especially in complex indoor settings. this project introduces a Wi-Fi-based indoor positioning system designed to address this persistent issue by leveraging WiFi RSSI signal proximity and app development. By estimating the real-time location of devices and mapping them to the location of access points within the building, the system enhances indoor navigation and streamlines communication channels. the app provides users with an interface to effortlessly locate themselves as well as find individuals, leveraging the stored location data of access points in a database. With a search feature enabling users to locate individuals or rooms, the proposed system offers a cost-effective and innovative solution to the challenge of indoor navigation in large indoor environments. © 2024 IEEE.

To address the issues of low efficiency and vibration caused by motion impact in robotic operation, a time-jerk optimal trajectory planning method based on the dung beetle optimizer (DBO) algorithm is proposed. Initially, the trajectory of joint space motion is constructed using the 3-5-3 polynomial interpolation method. then, the time and jerk of robot motion are taken as optimization objectives, with the joint velocity of the robot as a constraint in the optimization problem. the DBO algorithm, initialized with the logistic-tent chaotic mapping, is utilized to optimize these objectives. Simulation and experiments on the UR5 robot demonstrate that the overall motion time of the robot and the maximum jerk on each joint during motion are significantly reduced after optimization using the DBO algorithm, effectively enhancing the operational efficiency and motion stability of the robot. © 2024 IEEE.

the operating status of the distribution network changes frequently, obtaining comprehensive and accurate data for fast and effective state estimation has become an inevitable trend in current development. Currently, there are many data sources in the distribution network, but they are not effectively fused and processed, which makes the reliable implementation of condition assessment technology difficult. In this paper, the data are fused and processed by a unified pool of computing resources, and the measurement terminals are optimally configured to improve the comprehensiveness and accuracy of the measurement data, thus laying a solid foundation for the state estimation of the distribution network. © 2022 IEEE.

Weapon violence is a serious threat nowadays due to the rise in technology and criminal intelligence. Manual surveillance is a very tedious task because these activities are atypical in comparison with everyday activities. By introducing machine learning techniques to detect such activities, we can minimise the risk of human errors and prevent details from going unnoticed. Current systems fail when it comes to efficiency of the system and ease of use. We have implemented various models like CNN, YOLOV7, YOLOV8 and VGG for weapon detection and identified their strengths and limitations. A complete system for detection of weapons using these models and raising an alarm has been implemented here to overcome the problems of manual surveillance. Results are presented in a table focusing on metrics like precision and recall as these metrics prove to be more insightful and reliable as compared to accuracy for object detection. © 2023 IEEE.

With development of mobile edge computing (MEC) and the Artificial Intelligent Internet of things (AIoT), how to use intelligent devices to better apply to industrial scenarios has become a critical factor in promoting industry to reduce costs, increase efficiency, and enable development. In this paper, we analysis the problem of robotic manipulators working in dynamic environments and propose a model based on federated reinforcement learning (FRL) to control robotic manipulator grasping. In the proposed FRL framework, the optimal control policy is learned independently by multiple agents on their respective AIoT devices. Also, we use federated learning to ensure the safety of data and improve the reward function to accelerate the learning of model. We evaluate the performance of the proposed method and compare it with the traditional method based on RL. the experimental results show that proposed algorithm significantly improves the model training convergence speed by about 64% and the task average reward performance index by about 36% compared with baseline. © 2024 IEEE.

the Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) is a wireless technology that consist of multiple transmitter and multiple receiver to transmit the multiple data within a time period. the signals have some noise and distortion when it reaches the destination, to eliminate the noise and distortion and to characteristics the channel, the Channel Estimation is used. this study uses the Artificial Neural Network (ANN) for improved network forecasting for MIMO system. the multiple bit streams are given to the transmitting terminal. In the transmitting terminal the Channel encoding is used to reduce the noise and bit error and the modulation process is carried out. the transmitted signal is passed through the Rayleigh fading which assumes the many random components with the same phase and amplitude. In the Receiving terminal, Detection and Decoding is carried out using the ANN and thereby the output bit stream obtained without noise channel. the suggested approaches perform better than the current ones and are robust and efficient, according to simulation data. © 2024 IEEE.

Saving human lives is essential in the field of medical science. engineering technologies support to achieve this goal. this article explores the integration of Internet of things and LoRa technology in hospital wristbands to enhance patient care and streamline healthcare operations. the proposed system employs Arduino Pro Mini microcontrollers and LoRa1276 in the LoRa enabled Patient Wrist Band Module (LPWM) to facilitate real-time monitoring of patient vital signs, such as temperature and pulse. the acquired data is transmitted wirelessly to a central nursing station. In the nursing station, a Raspberry Pi equipped with a LoRa receiver device consolidates and displays the data. Grey Wolf Optimization algorithm is used in Raspberry Pi to prioritize patient care based on predefined parameters. the integration of Explainable AI in the receiver module enhances the transparency and trustworthiness of AI-driven recommendations. this supports personalized patient care. this comprehensive approach aims to bridge the healthcare gap in ensuring efficient resource allocation and improved patient outcomes through advanced technological solutions. © 2024 IEEE.

To solve the problem that it is difficult to obtain large fault data efficiently in Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), a Dijkstra algorithm combining Cuckoo Search algorithm and Whale Optimization Algorithm (CWOA) is proposed, and dynamic multi-source path planning based on DijkstraCWOA algorithm is built. Based on the Dijkstra algorithm, the shortest path of the multi-source path is obtained first, so as to save manpower and material resources and improve work efficiency. then, the Levy flight mechanism of Cuckoo Search (CS) algorithm is integrated into the Whale Optimization Algorithm (WOA), and the improved WOA is used to change the start node and end node of the path, so as to find the optimal cumulative weight path under the shortest path at different times, so as to obtain the path with the most fault data. the experimental results show that the Dijkstra-CWOA algorithm can effectively optimize the path in the range of fixed road nodes. © 2024 IEEE.
