—To accurately predict the risk of recurrence and metastasis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) patients, an image-encoded risk prediction model was proposed. 752 patients (training vs. testing: 527 vs. 225) were retrospectively collected, and the plasma EBV DNA copies were tested 13 times during treatment. Based on 13 times plasma EBV DNA copies, three kinds of image encoding methods were employed to characterize the linear and nonlinear dynamic change of longitudinal EBV DNA, i.e. Gramian Angular Summation Field (GASF), Gramian Angular Difference Field (GADF), and Recurrence Plot (RP). the Cox proportional hazard regression model was constructed by incorporating both image and clinical features as covariates to determine the risk factors and prediction models for disease-free survival (DFS). On the test set, the proposed model combining image and clinical features achieved C-index and AUC of 0.777 and 0.776, respectively outperforming the model relying solely on clinical features (C-index = 0.667, AUC = 0.675). In conclusion, the dynamic risk prediction model with image encoding can monitor changes in plasma EBV DNA copies during treatment, aiding doctors in assessing whole-body tumor burden, accurately predicting the dynamic risk of recurrence and metastasis, and planning individualized treatments in NPC patients. © VDE VERLAG GMBH.

With the continuous development of mobile application platforms, balancing real-time performance and accuracy has become a major challenge for object tracking technology, especially on resource-limited mobile devices. To address these challenges, a novel tracking algorithm called NanoMViT (Nano Mobile Vision Transformer for Object Tracking) and the ECSA (Efficient Channel and Spatial Attention) multi-attention module were proposed. By optimizing the backbone network architecture, the parameters of each module were significantly reduced. the final algorithm has a parameter count of only 709.134k and MACs of only 264.127M. Compared to the baseline algorithm, the parameter count is reduced by 66.3%, and the computational load is reduced by 50.2%. To validate the algorithm's performance, comprehensive evaluations were conducted on multiple standard tracking datasets, including VOT2018, DTB70, and LaSOT. the results show that the algorithm outperforms the baseline in aspects such as rapid deformation, tracking of similar objects, and performance under complex lighting conditions. these findings demonstrate that the algorithm has high practicality and efficiency in mobile tracking applications, but further validation is required in more complex environments. © 2024 IEEE.

Aiming at the problems of high failure rate and difficulty in predicting the failure of oil rig winch during operation, this paper proposes a digital twin model construction method based on the idea of digital twin. From the physical entity establishment, twin model establishment, operation on data acquisition, model real-time drive, model verification and real-time feedback adjustment steps to realize the virtual reality interaction between the physical entity and digital twin winch. Finally, it can realize the visual monitoring and prediction of the oil rig winch fault. Ensure timely troubleshooting and predictive maintenance of the winch's life cycle data management to improve the overall automation level of drilling operations. © 2022 IEEE.

A disorder called glaucoma that damages the optic nerve can result in either a partial or whole loss of vision. As a reason, it is critical to start glaucoma screening at a young age. Glaucoma symptoms do not manifest until the condition is advanced and the patient has already experienced considerable vision loss. the bulk of early diagnostic methods rely on careful feature engineering. Fundus images are particularly useful in the clinical context for the early detection of vision *** of its superior performance, In related fields including image synthesis, disease segmentation, biomarker segmentation, and illness identification, deep learning is being employed more and more often. Convolutional neural networks have lately been used to diagnose glaucoma and other eye problems in ophthalmology. they have been effective in the early diagnosis of several disorders. Many layers of highly connected neural networks. the study approach makes use of models that were previously trained on ImageNet using the dristi dataset with the accuracy of almost 97% that was achieved, it is evident that the built classification model can accurately diagnose glaucoma. © 2023 IEEE.

Accuracy is among the most important factors in a disease diagnosis. It is essential to select the characteristics that you find most pertinent for the highest accuracy. this study aims to more accurately predict the presence of the primary stage of squamous cell carcinoma using fewer indicators. Stages of oral cancer were first demonstrated to be predicted by 25 features. the variety of features that are obtained from various patient records is indirectly decreased in this study through the combination of the unified medical system using hybrid features selection techniques to identify the characteristics that are most useful for the identification of oral cancer. Hybrid feature selection has been used to condense 25 qualities into 14 features. the diagnosis of patients with oral cancer is then predicted using four classifiers: Updatable Naive Bayes, Multilayer Perceptrons, K-Nearest Neighbor, and Support Vector Machines. Also, the data show that, after adding feature development decisions with SMOTE during the preprocessing phases, the support vector machine's performance surpasses other machine learning techniques. © 2023 IEEE.

the coronavirus-induced lockdown has brought everyone’s life to a standstill and negatively impacted sentiments worldwide. It has also made online learning a compulsion for most students. the world is now following work from home and the e-learning boom. Almost all the schools and colleges have leveraged distance learning, thus continuing education from home and learning processes. thus, online learning has a significant effect on education and has become a viable option for offline classes. the new norm has opened doors for blended learning, which will likely stay in the future. Aiming at the problems of PRM algorithm, such as the lack of orientation in the selection of sampling points, the excessive number of sampling points, and the long convergence time of the algorithm, an improved probabilistic map algorithm (Restricted sampling area and Lazy collision, RL-PRM) based on the restricted sampling area and Lazy collision is proposed. the algorithm generates random sampling points in an elliptical area near the main axis of the map endpoint, and adopts the lazy collision strategy to generate the initial path. After judging whether the initial path traverses the interior of the obstacle, if there is a traversal situation, additional nodes are generated on the outside of the convex edge of the obstacle and added to the roadmap G(V, E), the collision nodes and the connecting lines are deleted, and the path is queried again to obtain the final path. Simulation results show that compared with the PRM∗ algorithm and PRM-Astar algorithm, the RL-PRM algorithm has a faster convergence speed and a shorter convergence path, and can still find the effective optimal path quickly while reducing the number of sampling points to a large extent. © 2024 IEEE.

Aiming at the shortcomings in traditional cloud desktop access methods caused by the high coupling of hardware and software resources, this paper presents a non-fixed client cloud desktop access method that does not depend on the endpoint device and its operating system and application software. this method bases on customized network startup service and cloud desktop resource service with software-defined architecture. By booting the client system to the endpoint device, a cloud desktop platform is implemented, which separates the control path and data path and combines the endpoint device, unified manager, startup server, and cloud desktop resource server together organically. the result of partial renovation and testing of the school computer room shows that the platform has the advantages of low cost, good portability, good scalability, easy upgrade and maintenance, etc., and can effectively cope with the shortcomings of the current cloud desktop system. © 2022 IEEE.

In the rapidly evolving digital landscape, Guaranteeing the safety and confidentiality of digital assets, particularly images, has become imperative. Blockchain has arisen as a leading solution for ensuring decentralized and unchangeable data storage, backed by strong cryptographic security measures. this paper presents a systematic review that investigates the impact of blockchain on enhancing security and privacy for encrypted and watermarked digital images.
