For the environment purpose, manager include efficient recovery system in supply chains. this recovery system has given birth to the concept of closed loop supply chain (CLSC). In this paper, an attempt has been made to design of CLSC network for minimization of total cost. For this purpose, four echelons (suppliers, manufacturer, distribution center and customer) in forward chain and six echelons (collection center, repair center, dismantling center, decomposition center, disposal site and secondary market) in backward chain have been considered. Further, a mixed integer linear programming model is developed to tackle the CLSC design problem. For the validity of the model, a numerical example has been considered which solved by using Branch and Bound method. (C) 2017 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

When unexpected disasters are coming, tens of thousands of people lost their lives because of no emergency aid caused by traffic jam. We need to build an emergency planning based on traffic evacuation. this paper proposes a method of variable lane control based on emergency evacuation area, establishes a bi-level programming model and designs solution algorithm based on harmony search to find the optimal solution quickly. After getting the optimal solution, we build the simulation experiment to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of proposed method according to the comparison of the saturation degree and the total travel time of system.

this paper presents a piecewise-continuous approach to nonlinear differential equations system approximation problem. In many cases, the nonlinear differential equations right-hand sides' linearization is extremely difficult or even impossible. then piecewise continuous and piecewise linear approximations of nonlinear differential equations can be used. the piecewise continuous linear differential equations can improve piecewise linear differential equations by increasing the number of separate linear differential equations systems areas and thereby reducing errors on the borders of these areas. the matrices of piecewise continuous linear differential equations system for steady-state points are estimated using nonlinear model time responses, nonlinear programming and random search method. the proposed approach application results are presented.

Nations have set-up Critical Information Infrastructure (CII) protection centers to provide safety of organizations which are deemed to be critical for the nation. In this context, this paper proposes a framework to identify Critical Information Infrastructures (CIIs). this framework has been adopted to identify the banks which are critical for Indian economy. Previously, Reserve Bank of India, the central bank of the country, has announced three banks as systemically important banks. the proposed approach, in this paper, considers a publicly available data set publishing the number (volume) and the amount (value) of financial transactions in the Indian domestic market involving all the banks. the proposed approach finds the individual ranks of each participating bank based on these two parameters. Finally, rank aggregation method combines these two rank lists (based on the value and the volume) to generate a final rank of the banks. Several rank aggregation methods have been compared in this context.

the Internet of things (IoT) attract a great deal of research and industry attention recently and are envisaged to support diverse emerging domains including intelligent transportation, smart cities, and health informatics. Operating system support for IoT plays a pivotal role in developing interoperable and scalable applications that are efficient and reliable. IoT is implemented by both high-end and low-end devices that require an operating system to run. Recently, we have witnessed a diversity of OSs emerging into IoT environment to facilitate IoT deployments and developments. In this paper, we present an overview of the common and existing closed source OSs for IoT. this paper is written in a tutorial style where each OS is described in details based on a set of designing and development aspects that we established. these aspects include architecture and kernel, memory management, scheduling, power consumption, networking protocols support, security, programming model, and multimedia support. the objective of this survey is to provide a well-structured guide to developers and researchers to determine the most appropriate OS for each specific IoT applications/devices based on their functional and non-functional requirements.

Extreme Learning Machine (ELM) is a single hidden layer feed-forward neural network learning method, which has a high generalization performance as well as faster. In this paper, odour data is discriminated based on the sensor response curve by using ELM, and the main objective is to investigate the optimum number of nodes in the hidden layer of ELM for olfactory detection. the relationship between the number of nodes in the hidden layer and the number of attributes or classes of dataset is queried to achieve the goal. three odour datasets taken from different sources in literature and two transfer functions for the ELM are used to verify the results of the study. the backpropagation (BP) algorithm is also used for training an artificial neural network for comparison purposes. the analysis is performed for the three datasets by using ELM and BP and obtained results present that the time consumption of ELM is too small to be compared with BP even though the number of nodes is high and better accuracy rates are obtained by ELM.

Aim: Studies are increasingly focusing on the effects of prenatal alcohol exposure (PAE) on child health. the aim of this review was to provide paediatricians with new insights to help them communicate key messages about avoiding alcohol during pregnancy. Methods: Inspired by the 7thinternationalconference on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, which focused on integrating research, policy and practice, we studied English language papers published since 2010 on how early PAE triggered epigenetic mechanisms that had an impact on the development of some chronic diseases. We also report the findings of a human study using three-dimensional photography of the face to explore associations between PAE and craniofacial phenotyping. Results: Animal models with different alcohol exposure patterns show that early PAE may lead to long-term chronic effects, due to developmental programming for some adult diseases in cardiovascular, metabolic and renal systems. the study withthree-dimensional photographing is very promising in helping paediatricians to understand how even small amounts of PAE can affect craniofacial phenotyping. Conclusion: Even low levels of PAE can cause adverse foetal effects and not just in the brain. It is not currently possible to determine a safe period and level when alcohol consumption would not affect the foetus.
