A service function chaining (SFC) problem is to find out a set of nodes and paths in substrate networks for the placement of virtual network functions (VNFs) so that end-to-end bandwidth and latency requirements are satisfied. We define setup and operation cost, and formulate the SFC placement problem as an Integer Linear programming (ILP) model withthe objective to minimize the overall costs of setup and operation, while satisfying the bandwidth and CPU constraints of each node. We evaluate performance with different objectives of SFC such as latency minimization and maintenance of the order of VNFs in the SFC.

this paper considers a constrained optimisation problem under uncertainty with at least one element modelled as a probability box uncertainty. the uncertainty is expressed in the coefficient matrices of constraints and/or coefficients of goal function. In our previous work, such problems were studied under interval, fuzzy sets, and ε-contamination uncertainty models. Our aim here is to give theoretical solutions to the problem under more advanced and informative (p-box) uncertainty model and generalise the approach to calculate the theoretical solutions for linear programming problems. the approach is to convert the optimisation problem under uncertainty to a decision problem using imprecise decision theory where the uncertainty is eliminated. We investigate what theoretical results can be obtained for probability box type of uncertainty model and compare them to classical cases for two different optimality criteria: maximinity and maximality.

In this paper, economy and security are taken as the optimization goal, the constraints such as power balance and voltage deviation are constructed, and the multi-objective programming model of distributed power supply access capacity is established considering the different output scenarios of distributed power supply, and the Pareto optimal solution set is obtained by using non-dominant sequencing genetic algorithm. the validity of the proposed method is verified based on the analysis of the IEEE33 node model.

In the literature, some works deal withthe integrated Berth Allocation and Crane Assignment Problem (BACAP) in container and bulk port context. Most of them consider that equipment are always available and high tide periods restriction is not imposed. In this work, we were interested by the BACAP under availability and high tide time windows restrictions in bulk port terminal. We proposed a mixed integer programming model for the problem and then, validated it by studying the real-case of Jorf lasfar Phosphate Hub (JPH). In this paper, we present a case study on vehicle routing and scheduling problem of filling stations replenishment with time windows in initiative distribution. A mixed-integer linear programming approach is proposed based on discrete-time presentation. By setting the minimal total cost in loading and unloading operations as well as all vehicles' transportation as objective function, and considering the practical issues such as fluctuation in filling station's sales and road congestion, the model is established under the constraints of loading, unloading, rest and standby, vehicle's state, time, filling station, depot and cost. Finally, the method is applied to a real case which has eight filling stations, one depot, one garage and eight vehicles and there are three types of products to be transported in the system. the final results proved better applicability and accuracy of this method.

In some colleges and universities, programming has become one of the compulsory subjects for undergraduates. However, the programming language has strict logic and grammar, which has an impact on learners' engagement, thereby affecting the learning effect. In this study, 100 freshmen who enrolled the programming design courses at a university in Beijing were selected as the research object, and the influencing factors of programming learning engagement were studied from the perspective of self-regulation. the study found that there were significant differences in motivational regulation between different genders, different professional categories, and whether they have studied programming;there was a significant positive correlation between motivational regulation, task value and programming learning engagement. Regression analysis showed that motivational regulation and task value had a good positive predictive effect on learning engagement.

In line assembly process, it is necessary to use the accurate tools to inspect the work piece. In order to measure the width, thickness or depth of the nut used in the commercial car, previously in thai Steel Cable Company used the caliper to measure size of the automotive nut operated by human as an sample test inspection. Even the result on this technique is high accuracy, however; there are some disadvantages based on this method such as human error, idle time and also fatigue by the human. therefore, this research focus on the development of the new measurement technique that utilized industrial camera together withthe image processing algorithm to measure the entire nut with 100% inspection test. Circular Hough Transform (CHT) is applied to be the basic concept used for finding the circle position and measuring nut diameter. Although the CHT technique can measure diameter of the interested nut, but the result's accuracy is not acceptable due to measuring error from the various range of light condition. this research proposed the new technique, Adaptive Gray Level Mapping algorithm (AGLM) to increase the quality of the input picture before measuring the radius by CHT technique. Moreover, the beta in AGLM is optimized by particle swarm optimization (PSO) technique that applies 50% of nut data and other is used for validate. the results show the effectiveness of the proposed AGLM combined PSO that increase the accuracy of the visual measuring method via compare to the conventional threshold with CHT technique.
