this paper presents neural network and general energy function of 0-1 optimization problems. In this paper, by analyzing the eigenspace of the weight matrices in geometrical approach, we present a fast algorithm for searching the solutions of 0-1 optimization problems based on the transiently chaotic neural network, which can avoid oscillation and can converge to the optimal solution quickly, stably and precisely.

Support vector machines are currently the state-of the-art models for many classification problems but they suffer from the complexity of their training algorithm that is at least quadratic with respect to the number of examples. Hence, it is hard to try to solve real-life problems having more than a few hundreds of thousands examples with SVM. the present paper proposes a new method based on the fuzzy entropy that can be used to preprocess original training data and the SVM is trained on a small subset (boundary subset) of the whole dataset. Comparing to other similar methods, the merit of our method is that there are no parameters for determining the border of subset. Preliminary experimental results indicate the benefits of our approach.

Many researchers have worked on example-based machine translation and different techniques have been investigated in the area. In literature, a method of using translation templates learned from bilingual example pairs was proposed. the paper investigates the possibility of applying the same idea for close languages where word order is preserved. In addition to applying the original algorithm for example pairs, we believe that the similarities between the translated sentences may always be learned as atomic translations. Since the word order is almost always preserved, there is no need to have any previous knowledge to identify the corresponding differences. the paper concludes that applying this method for close languages may improve the performance of the system.

this paper presents the method dependence model representing implementation level information including the dependence among variables in an object oriented program. I also propose implementation-based class testing technique based on the test adequacy criterion of an object-oriented program. Considering inter-data member dependences and a set of axioms for test data adequacy, it generates sequences of methods as test cases which satisfy a flow graph-based testing criterion. For a derived class testing, it considers inheritance relationship and the reusability of the testing information for its parent classes which verified the reduction of test cost through the experiment.

the traditional modeling and simulation techniques for dynamic systems are generally adequate for single-domain systems only. Mechatronic systems, being a mix of mechanical and electronic systems, deal with multi-domain systems. Such systems may typically include translational, rotational, thermofluid, electrical, electromechanical and electronic systems. Modeling and simulation of such multi-domain systems pose formidable new challenges and, hence, demand new strategies and techniques for reliable solutions. the bond graph method (BGM) is rapidly emerging to offer a new modeling and simulation methodology that is ideally suited to effectively unify knowledge pertaining to multi-domain systems for mechatronic applications. the BGM combined with genetic programming (GP) offers tremendous opportunities in artificial intelligence, image processing, and robotic and industrial automation, the extension of BGM for applications to fields such as social behavior, economics and operational research is a very active topic of current research. this work illustrates the methodology offered by BGM for modeling and simulation of mechatronic systems.
