the multiplexed application of user-side battery energy storage systems (BESSs) in energy arbitrage and frequency regulation is regarded as an effective way to improve its economic profits. However, the strategy under the multiplexed mode of BESS faces the dual challenges of dynamic resources allocation and random frequency deviation signal. To pursue maximum daily profits and reliable operation of BESS, this paper proposes a frequency regulation strategy based on the estimated and corrected droop coefficient, and forms a scheduling result with the arbitrage power, the droop coefficient and the capacity compensation coefficient. the simulation results show that the strategy achieves the optimal allocation of BESS resources totally avoiding the over-capacity, so that the maximum profits and the continuously available frequency regulation capability are guaranteed. © 2023 IEEE.

Web-based interactive learning is an important educational trend. In this paper, we implemented web-based virtual education courseware for the C programming language. It consists of two major components: a creative lecture component for students and an evaluation component for lecturers. the lecture component contains HTML-based lecture notes with creative multimedia content, such as flash movies and video clips, and an effective web-based compiler which compiles C programs at the server. these are submitted by students through the Web and the program returns their execution results to the students' PCs. there is also a submission component of a student's reports and an online examination. the administration and management system for attendance checking, report assignment, online examination and scoring, etc is implemented using web technologies such as HTML, Java, Java script, PHP and MySQL database. this system enables students to easily understand the content and programming techniques of the C programming language. It enables lecturers to achieve higher productivity, saving them time and labor.

In cloud computing, since the program only runs in the cloud, it can be written in a programming language and compiled in a specific target platform. Due to the heterogeneous nature of the edge node platform, many tasks are migrated from the cloud to the edge terminal. So it is not easy to realize the edge computing programming, and the maintenance cost is also high. In order to solve this problem, this paper designs a set of software definable programming strategy through Hypertext Marked Language (HTML) format (independent of the operating system) file, and realizes the programming of the fireworks node of Internet of things (IoT) gateway under the edge computing, which is applied in the remote automatic monitoring system. Compared with the same system under the cloud computing, it is convenient for the user's programming, enhances the real-time performance, and greatly. It reduces the communication data flow, saves the data transmission cost, relieves the overall pressure of the system, and reduces the power consumption due to data transmission data storage. © 2021, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Cloud-edge collaborative computing has become an emerging computing paradigm due to its ability in fully utilizing the computing power for cloud and edge servers. However, in the process of task offloading, it is faced with the problem of long solution time due to high computational complexity and large scale of solving multi-objective optimization problems, which result in excessive cost of time and energy of the local devices. To solve this problem, we design an algorithm with a two-stage task offloading strategy. To be specific, we divide the overall task offloading into two stages. the first stage is to make the decision of allocating each task module to the suitable computational platform by considering each task respectively as a mixed integer linear programming (MILP) problem and solving it by branch and bound algorithm. the second stage is to allocate the selected task nodes at the edge platform reasonably by turning the allocation problem into a knapsack problem, which can be solved by dynamic programming algorithm. In this way, we can not only narrow the problem scale by dividing one large overall constraint model into several smaller ones, but also reduce the computational complexity. Performance evaluation shows that compared with the similar algorithm, our algorithm is optimized by more than 50% in terms of task waiting time and by more than 5% in terms of the optimization effect. © 2023 IEEE.

this paper studies a projective contraction algorithm for solving semidefinite programming *** interior point algorithm is a classic algorithm for solving semidefinite programming *** can be divided into feasible and infeasible algorithms according to whether the initial point is feasible or *** feasible interior point algorithm needs to use a self-dual strategy to find strictly feasible *** the infeasible interior point algorithm does not require the initial point to be strictly feasible, the theoretical analysis of the algorithm is very *** with the interior point algorithm, the projection contraction algorithm has no requirement on the initial point, and the algorithm analysis is much *** optimal condition of the semidefinite programming problem can be rewritten as a projection equation, which is then solved by the projection contraction *** propose a new projection contraction algorithm based on different descent directions to solve the semidefinite programming ***, under the framework of the projection contraction algorithm, an improved algorithm is proposed, that is, changing the descending direction by solving the linear equation system, thus avoiding the high-dimensional inversion operation so that the algorithm can solve the large-scale semidefinite programming *** experiments show that the algorithm is feasible and the improved algorithm is competitive with the interior point algorithm. © 2022 the Author(s).

Code similarity detection has been studied for several decades, which are prevailing categorized into attributecounting and structure-metric. Due to the one fold validity of attribute-counting for full replication, mature systems usually use the GST string matching algorithm to detect code structure. However, the accuracy of GST is vulnerable to interference in code similarity detection. this paper presents a code similarity detection method combining string matching and sub-graph isomorphism. the similarity is calculated with the GST algorithm. then according to the similarity, the system determines whether further processing with the subgraph iIsomorphism algorithm is required. Extensive experimental results illustrate that our method significantly enhances the efficiency of string matching as well as the accuracy of code similarity detecting.

the translation application was developed using Python and Visual Studio Code as the primary programming environment. Technological progress has led to the younger generation forsaking the Batak language in their daily interactions, perceiving it as inconsequential to their social circle and contributing to the decline of regional languages. there is concern that regional languages, namely the Batak language, may lose significance or face extinction if this trend persists. this translation program is being implemented to aid in preserving regional languages, specifically the Batak language, enabling it to conform to contemporary circumstances. the development of this translation engine utilized the Batak language dictionary. the process of designing, coding, and testing is responsible for creating this direct machine translation. the BLEU score is employed to assess the caliber of machine translation. the study's findings indicate that the % BLEU value for ten sentences was 32.3%. this score falls within the category of sentences whose meaning can be understood, but the sentence structure still needs development. the direct machine translation developed in this Web platform is highly proficient and practical. © 2023 IEEE.

Water scarcity is a pressing issue that is exacerbated by population growth, urbanization, and climate change. To address this, sustainable and effective water management must be practiced. In this study, linear programming was used to determine the optimal allocation of the forecasted 2023 water supply in the Philippines. the objective function and constraints were set using data from the Philippine Statistics Authority. Results indicate that the minimum expenses on water for the year 2023 amounted to PHP 129,440,000,000. the energy sector had the highest share in total water use under the optimal solution. On the other hand, households had the lowest share among the six sectors. the researchers suggest that future studies incorporate more constraints related to the costs or profit from water usage per sector to improve the linear programming model. Moreover, future researchers may explore alternative methods outside of MATLAB, such as those that use simplex tableaus. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

In this paper, we propose a group-oriented management or key trees. Traditional approach to manage key tress such as TGDH cannot retain characteristics of subgroups and it costs a great quantity of exponentiation computation to calculate the group key due to its algorithm. By means of group-oriented management of key trees, we reduce the cost of re-keying and the message size that is consultation to evaluate performance of key trees. therefore, our Approach applied to group key management not only performs well but also supplies members with more information.

Wind speed fluctuates heavily and affects a smaller locality than other weather elements. Wind speed is heavily fluctuated and quite local than other weather elements. It is difficult to improve the accuracy of prediction only in a numerical prediction model. An MOS (Model Output Statistics) technique is used to correct the systematic errors of the model using a statistical data analysis. Most previous MOS (Model Output Statistics) used a linear regression model, but they are hard to solve nonlinear natures of the weather prediction. In order to solve the problem of a linear MOS, a nonlinear compensation technique based on evolutionary computation is introduced as a new attempt. We suggest a nonlinear regression method using GP (Genetic programming) based symbolic regression to generate an open-ended nonlinear MOS. the new nonlinear MOS can express not only nonlinearity much more extensively by involving all mathematical functions, including transcendental functions, but also unlimited orders with a dynamic selection of predictors due to the flexible tree structure of GP. We evaluate the accuracy of the estimation by GP based nonlinear MOS for the three days wind speed prediction for Korean regions. the training period of 2007-2009, 2011 year is used, the data of 2012 year is for verification, and 2013 year is adopted for test. this method is then compared to the linear MOS and shows superior results.
