In this paper, we investigate the problem of efficient user association and subchannel assignment in multi-cell multi-carrier nonorthogonal multiple access networks. An optimization problem is formulated to maximize the energy efficiency. the proposed solution includes two stages. First, we propose an iterative low complexity algorithm to handle the optimization problem. Second, we use the output from the iterative solution to train two deep neural network (DNN) models. To obtain the final output, the output of the DNNs are mapped in matrix which represents the final user association and subchannel assignment. the simulation results have shown the efficiency of the proposed framework compared to two step 2D matching algorithm and fractional programming (FP) method. © 2020 IEEE.

the intention of this study is to study some implementation of reinforcement learning in the environment of Google Chrome's Dino Game. Different environments were tested on Deep Q network and proximal policy optimization models. Images were provided as inputs in all trials and the highest scores were recorded and analysed to check which algorithm and environment performed better. Further work aims at including more environments and algorithms and performing training on High performance Computers. © 2023 IEEE.

According to the personalized lane-change habits of different drivers, this study presents an automatic-driving personalized lane-change control system that ensures the safety of automatic-driving lane changes and meets the personalized needs of drivers. Constrained Delaunay triangulation (CDT) was used to generate a safe collision-free lane-changing area to ensure the safety of the planned lane-change path. Using the HighD datasets, a lane-change driving behavior identification model was established based on the BP neural network, divided into careful, normal, and aggressive according to driving habits. Taking driving safety and ride comfort as performance indices, quadratic programming (QP) algorithm is applied to generate personalized optimal paths to accommodate three different driving lane-change styles. then, a linear quadratic regulator (LQR) feedback controller integrated with feedforward control was designed for tracking control of personalized lane-change paths. Finally, co-simulation results by using PreScan, CarSim, and MATLAB/Simulink demonstrated that the proposed personalized lane-change path-planning and the tracking control system were effective and feasibility. © 2023 IEEE.

Learning activities are an indicator of the learner's desire to learn during the learning process. the pattern of learner action is related to learning activities. In this case, in extracting the learning process, it is necessary to collect a lot of data through analysis of the learning process. the purpose of this study is to recommend and report the performance of an activity tracking system equipped with visual artifacts as an educational data mining approach to analyze action patterns when learners complete the arrangement of program code lines in each programming problem. In this study, data were taken from activity recordings when learners used interactive learning media for a basic programming subject called TOLSYASUPI-EduMed which had problem-solving learning models embedded in their interactions. Learning Analytics is used as a method of this research and data relationships from learner actions during the learning process using the 'if-then' rule. Log data is used for recording and detecting activities carried out by learners. We confirm that the results of the study are based on the findings of the data relationship that if the lines of program code are too long (more than five lines) then almost all learners experience a bottleneck condition. the completion time of each question and the number of iterations in completing the program code lines for each question have also been recorded and have a pattern of connection between the data. the information that has been obtained is then forwarded to teachers or stakeholders as key information to make appropriate feedback to learners based on the results as a means of analyzing and evaluating the programming learning process. © 2022 IEEE.

Water scarcity is a pressing issue that is exacerbated by population growth, urbanization, and climate change. To address this, sustainable and effective water management must be practiced. In this study, linear programming was used to determine the optimal allocation of the forecasted 2023 water supply in the Philippines. the objective function and constraints were set using data from the Philippine Statistics Authority. Results indicate that the minimum expenses on water for the year 2023 amounted to PHP 129,440,000,000. the energy sector had the highest share in total water use under the optimal solution. On the other hand, households had the lowest share among the six sectors. the researchers suggest that future studies incorporate more constraints related to the costs or profit from water usage per sector to improve the linear programming model. Moreover, future researchers may explore alternative methods outside of MATLAB, such as those that use simplex tableaus. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

A prototype test driven development tool for embedded systems has been developed with hardware-oriented extensions to CPPUnitLite. However xUnit tests are written in the language of the solution;problematic in the development of biomedical instruments as the customer, the "doctor", does not have "extensive knowledge of the domain". the biomedical application is often prototyped within MATLAB before movement down to the "plumbing level" on a high-speed, highly parallel, processor to meet the requirement for real-time application in a safe and secure manner "in the surgical theatre" or "on the ward". A long term research goal is an investigation of how to gain, as with standard business desktop system, the full advantage of using Fit and FitNesse as communication tools under these circumstances. We demonstrate the practical application of using indirection to permit a single set of Fit tests for both MATLAB and embedded system verification for a biomedical instrument.

Hosting over 10 million repositories, Github becomes the largest open source community in the world. Besides sharing code, Github is also a social network, in which developers can follow others or keep track of their interested projects. Considering the multi-roles of Github, integrating heterogenous data of each developer to identify experts is a challenging task. In this paper, we propose GEMiner, a novel approach to identify experts for some specific programming languages in Github. Different from previous approaches, GEMiner analyzes the social behaviors and programming behaviors of a developer to determine the expertise of the developer. When modeling social behaviors of developers, to integrate heterogenous social networks in Github, GEMiner implements a Multi-Sources PageRank algorithm. Also, GEMiner analyzes the behaviors of developers when they are programming (e.g., their commit activities and their preferred programming languages) to model programming behaviors of them. Based on our expertise models and our extracted programming languages data, GEMiner can then identify experts for some specific programming languages in Github. We conducted experiments on a real data set, and our results show that GEMiner identifies experts with 60% accuracy higher than the state-of-the-art algorithms. © 2015 ACM.

Due to a number of similarities between user-centred design (UCD) and agile development, coupled with an appreciation that developers are rarely usability experts, it seems attractive to integrate these two approaches. However, although agile methods share some of the same aims as UCD, there are also distinct differences. these differences have made the use of these methods on development projects problematic. this paper reports a field study designed to investigate the use of agile methods alongside UCD in one particular organization. the aim of the study was to develop a framework for use by project teams wishing to integrate UCD practices with agile development. the study, its findings and five principles for integrating UCD and agile development arising from this work are discussed.

this paper presents a version of the multiple traveling salesmen problem with service time limit constraints and travel times. the time required to provide merchandising service at any outlet location is predetermined based on the customer type. the objective is to minimize the number of salesmen hired by a selling firm while visiting and providing services to all customers without exceeding salesmen’s allowed working times. the paper proposes an assignment-based mixed integer programming model for solving the salesmen problem of a selling firm that applies a sub-tour elimination restriction. A case example is presented for illustrating the applicability and suitability of the proposed approach for solving the problem tackled in this work. In the current investigation the MapReduce algorithm is discussed. the idea for MapReduce is introduced initially in the field of functional programming languages. thereafter various implementations of MapReduce are provided and it is successfully applied in many different data platforms for fast processing of large amount of data in parallel and distributed environments. the popular open source implementations are Apache Hadoop and Apache Spark. the MapReduce algorithm consists of two main functions: map and reduce. In the current investigation the authors present the MapReduce algorithm in the field of index matrices theory. the map and reduce functions are presented using index matrix operations. A numerical example is presented. Apache Spark implementation is visualized. © 2021 IEEE.
