Due to recent developments in multimedia technology, digital data security has emerged as an important concern. To improve upon the state of the art in terms of security, researchers often recommend modifications to procedures that have previously been implemented. However, many suggested encryption algorithms have proved unsafe over the previous several decades, putting sensitive data at risk. It is crucial to use the most suitable encryption strategy to defend against such attacks;nevertheless, the type of data being protected might affect the method that is most appropriate for each given situation. However, systematically evaluating various cryptosystems to choose the optimal one may consume significant computational effort. To rapidly and reliably choose the appropriate algorithm, an SVM (support vector machine) is proposed as a security-level identification tool for photo encryption algorithms. In this research, a dataset was compiled with the help of common encryption security criteria, including Security, Peak signal to noise ratio, Homogeneity, Correlation, Contrast, Energy, Entropy, and Mean Square Error. these values are used as extracted characteristics from various cypher pictures. there are three tiers of security for dataset labels: strong, acceptable, and weak. For evaluating the effectiveness of the proposed model, the calculated accuracy and results demonstrate the value of this SVM system. © 2023 IEEE.

the uncertainty and correlation of wind and PV power have significant impacts on the operational mode and energy utilization efficiency of integrated energy systems (IESs). It is necessary to optimize the operational flexibility of IESs equipment to lower the carbon emission (CE) levels of the IESs. this paper proposed a step-based carbon trading model for the thermal-electric optimization of IESs considering the correlation between wind and PV. Firstly, Latin Hypercube Sampling (LHS) method is used to sample random variables and generate scenarios that satisfy specific wind power and PV correlations to study the influence of wind and photovoltaic correlation on optimization scheduling. then, a step-based carbon trading model is introduced to optimize the carbon emission control strategy considering the participation of IESs in the carbon trading market. thirdly, an adjustable thermal-electric ratio for combined heat and power (CHP) and hydrogen fuel cell (HFC) operational strategies are formed to enhance the low-carbon and economic performance of IESs. and an economic objective function is formulated by minimizing the purchasing cost, CE cost, wind curtailment cost, and PV curtailment cost, which is transformed into a mixed-integer linear programming problem, worked using the CPLEX commercial solver. Finally, the multiple operating scenarios simulation results validate the effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed optimization strategies. © 2023 IEEE.

this paper mainly discusses the planning method of shipboard transportation scheduling process on aircraft carrier from two aspects of deck moving path planning and motion coordination method for carrier-borne aircraft in deck. Two kinds of moving path planning algorithms between deck carrier aircraft stations based on standard motion pattern were proposed firstly. And the evaluation criteria of the planned moving paths were discussed. then, basing on the network of deck moving paths generated by previous path planning algorithm, we developed a motion coordination method of deck carrier-borne aircraft basing on mixed integer programming formulations which can be used to solve the problems of coordination and collision in the transportation scheduling process of multiple carrier-borne aircraft effectively. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

One of the ways to digitalise the courses is participation in project 2.3.1.1.i.0/1/22/I/CFLA/003 'Mastering of High Level Digital Skills In Latvia In the Field of High Performance Computing' ('Augsta līmeņa digitālo prasmju apguve Latvijā augstas veiktspējas skaitļošanas tehnoloiju jomā'). this project is realised by three largest universities of Latvija - Riga Technical University, Riga Stradiņš University and Latvian University. It initialises the modification of 12 study courses for the further combined learning methodology on the basis of 8 themes modules: 1) scientific programming and operational systems, 2) computer design, 3D modelling and design, 3) data analysis, machine learning and data science, 4) parallel programming, 5) modelling and simulation, 6) modern computing systems and methods 7) engineering design of complex physical systems and simulation of mechanic, aerodynamic, electrodynamic properties and 8) artificial intelligence including medicine diagnostics based on pictures. © 2023 IEEE.

In the field of transfer learning, the ability of models to make accurate predictions about future events can be compromised by targeted or untargeted adversarial attacks. Researchers have found that when images are subjected to such attacks, the feature construction process in every network produces noise, posing both challenges and opportunities for the study of convolutional neural networks (CNNs). To address this issue, the researchers developed a unique feature-map that describes the effects of adversarial attacks on individual object feature-maps. this approach was inspired by the observation of adversarial perturbations on image pixel attacks. By calculating the weight of each object's class activation map, a combined activation map is generated using a novel detection technique. the exploit feature-map developed in this study significantly advances the state-of-the-art in adversarial resistance. It was tested using several transfers learning models, including AlexNet, VGGNet19, and ResNet50, in both white-box and black-box assault scenarios. Moreover, the feature-map was shown to be effective in detecting assaults on ImageNet that use various techniques, such as the Fast Gradient Sign Method (FGSM), DeepFool, and Projected Gradient Descent (PGD). © 2023 IEEE.

Software components are still considered the weakest link when it comes to addressing reliability of a system. We argue that a systematic application of Bertrand Meyer's design by contract methodology improves reliability quite significantly. In the perspective of design by contract methodology, reliability is viewed as correctness and robustness. the concept of Reliability by Construction is dealt with in detail. Process steps to introduce or integrate design by contract methodology into existing SDLC of a product or system are discussed. the notion of sufficiently strong contracts is dealt with along with their advantages in defect prevention. Composition of function calls or services and the properties that contract specifications of successive functions(calls) need satisfy are stated. the process of contract refinement during successive phases of SDLC is discussed. Contract specification rules in the presence of inheritance in object-oriented programs are also discussed. Finally, we argue that design by contract methodology is a step towards zero-defect programming. © 2018 IEEE.

As a scalable and lightweight infrastructure technology, containers are quickly gaining popularity in cloud data centers. However, dynamic Resource-Allocation in Container-based clouds (RAC) is challenging due to two interdependent allocation sub-problems, allocating dynamic arriving containers to appropriate Virtual Machines (VMs) and allocating VMs to multiple Physical Machines (PMs). Most of existing research works assume homogeneous PMs and rely on simple and manually designed heuristics such as Best Fit and First Fit, which can only capture limited information, affecting their effectiveness of reducing energy consumption in data centers. In this work, we propose a novel hybrid Cooperative Coevolution Genetic programming (CCGP) hyper-heuristic approach to automatically generate heuristics that are effective in solving the dynamic RAC problem. Different from existing works, our approach hybridizes Best Fit to automatically designed heuristics to coherently solve the two interdependent sub-problems. Moreover, we introduce a new energy model that accurately captures the energy consumption in a more realistic setting than that in the literature, e.g., real-world workload patterns and heterogeneous PMs. the experiment results show that our approach can significantly reduce energy consumption, in comparison to two state-of-the-art methods. © 2023, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

through the massive use of mobile devices, data clouds, and the rise of Internet of things, enormous amount of data has been generated and analyzed for the benefit of society. NoSQL Databases and specially key-value stores become the backbone in managing these large amounts of data. Most of key-value stores ignore transactions due to their effect on degrading key-value store's performance. Meanwhile, programmable switches with the software-defined networks and the programming Protocol-Independent Packet Processor (P4) lead to a programmable network where in-network computation can help accelerating the performance of applications. In this paper, we proposed a networking support for transaction processing in distributed key-value stores. Our system leverages the programmable switch to act as a transaction coordinator. Using a variation of the time stamp ordering concurrency control approach, the programmable switch can decide to proceed in transaction processing or abort the transaction directly from the network. Our experimental results on an initial prototype show that our proposed approach, while supporting transactions, improves the throughput by up to 4X and reduces the latency by 35% when compared to the existing architectures. © 2021 IEEE.

Software cost estimation techniques are used to provide a useful measure of the complexities, efforts, and costs involved in system development. Despite three decades of research on software cost estimation, the research community has yet to provide a viable model for End-User Development (EUD) environments. this is both surprising and significant as EUD has been estimated to account for somewhere between 80-95% of all personal software development activities worldwide. As EUD is predominantly idiosyncratic, self-determined and opportunistic, existing cost estimation techniques are either inappropriate, overly complex or insufficient. In response, we present a novel "personal cost" estimation model for EUD. this model reflects key features of non-professional programming, and provides a qualitative evaluation of personal cost as motivation, and hence, likely project success. Analytics that define the most valuable and possible automation are referred to as augmented analytics. Analytics is the name given to the scientific method of identifying and communicating critical patterns in data. To improve decision-making, gain understanding, prepare data, and exchange data, augmented analytics focused on turning raw data into information. Measurement and insights of data are obtained through augmented analytics. It employs operations research, computer programming, and statistics. It is functional in places with an enormous amount of information. When it comes to analytics and decision-making, augmented analytics can be supplemented and eventually fully automated. Augmented analytics is the most recent method for considering data and analytics. artificial intelligence (AI) and analytics are combined. It involves combining artificial intelligence (AI) with conventional analytics, the most popular machine learning (ML), and natural language processing (NLP). It differs from typical analytics or business intelligence (BI) tools in that ML technology is constantly learning and improving outcomes behind the scenes. Augmented analytics, in particular, allows for faster access to insights gained from vast volumes of structured and unstructured data to provide ML-based recommendations. this intelligence contributes to discovering hidden patterns and deviations in data, as well as the removal of human bias and the development of forecasting capabilities that can help an organization decide the future course of action. © 2023 IEEE.
