the construction machinery industry faces the challenge of outdated programmable controllers (PLCs) with limited versatility. To meet the evolving needs of this industry, adherence to the IEC61131-3 standard has become essential. this standard revolutionizes controller technology, providing five unified programming languages and enabling cross-compatibility among controllers. this paper explores the significance of open embedded soft PLCs that adhere to this standard, aiming to enhance controller versatility, meet market demands, and increase the international market share of construction machinery. the research delves into the hardware system design of a universal controller for construction machinery, addressing power protection, voltage conversion, clock circuit, JTAG interface, input modules, pulse volume acquisition, output modules, and communication interfaces. through detailed design processes and schematic representations, this research contributes to the advancement of construction machinery controller technology. © 2023 IEEE.

In response to the problems of slow detection rate and low detection accuracy of traditional collision detection algorithms in complex virtual maintenance environment, a fast collision detection algorithm based on whale algorithm is proposed and applied to virtual maintenance environment. Firstly, the collision detection of objects is carried out by using hierarchical bounding box, and the objects that may collide are screened. Secondly, the collision detection problem of 3D model is transformed into a nonlinear optimization problem of distance between feature pairs in 2D discrete space. Finally, the whale optimization algorithm is used to solve the problem, and the elite-ordinary strategy is introduced, so that the whale individuals can choose the best way to move, so as to improve the detection efficiency of the algorithm. In order to avoid the algorithm falling into the local optimal solution, the mutation step factor is used to enhance the levy flight mechanism, and the adaptive inertia weight is added to make the whale individual dynamically adjust the ability to get rid of the initial position, so as to improve the detection accuracy of the algorithm. the simulation results show that the algorithm has higher collision detection accuracy and less detection time than the commonly used collision detection algorithm after introducing the elite-ordinary strategy. © 2024 IEEE.

A personalized speed planning strategy for autonomous vehicles (AVs) is proposed in this paper, which can generate individual speed trajectories for passengers with different driving preferences in typical urban environments with multiple traffic signals, road terrain, and speed limits. Firstly, the K-means method is used to analyze and cluster the drivers' data in the case of free driving (not following the front vehicle) in the NGSIM dataset, and then the actual longitudinal speeds and accelerations preference of different drivers' groups in the urban environments can be obtained. Secondly, according to the information on road restrictions, traffic signals phase, and driving preferences of the passengers in AVs, a decision-making mechanism is designed to calculate the personalized traveling time of each traffic signal section, in which the preferences of speeds are transformed into the preferences of traveling time. then, the dynamic programming (DP) algorithm and the bisection method are integrated to plan personalized speed trajectories for each traffic signal road section, with consideration of the factors such as preferred traveling time in this road section, road speed limits, passenger comfort, driving economy, etc. Finally, a typical urban scenario is designed for algorithm verification and performance evaluation. the test results show that the strategy can generate safe, comfortable, energy-saving, and personalized speed trajectories for different groups of passengers. © 2023 IEEE.

In this paper, we propose a grading method for the evaluation of information security level protection based on robot navigation and 3D reconstruction, study and propose a grading evaluation scheme for robot positioning and understanding of the surrounding environment, quickly reconstruct the 3D system of the site environment through the auxiliary evaluation of industrial robots based on ID code positioning, and finally transplant the algorithm to the robot operating system to achieve mobile cruise function in combination with ROS function package and path planning, Multiple threshold adjustments are made to control the evaluation error within a reasonable range. By analyzing the grading of level protection evaluation, the obtained data is calculated to obtain the grading level of relevant institutions' level protection evaluation, which greatly increases the accuracy and execution efficiency of the evaluation. © 2023 IEEE.

Cigarette smoking is considered as a bad habit since, it is having a bad impact on health and also for the Environment. Nowadays, most of the people are using cars for their transport purposes and we already know that cars are mostly closed area, so, the environment in the car should be healthy and drivers should drive safely. Humans can be affected by Second hand smoke and third hand smoke. this Hear Smoking is a smoking detection system in the car, which detects the smoking events inside car and notifies to the owner of the car and also stops the motion of the car. Using Internet of things, we are going to implement this system inside the car which gives alert messages to the owner of the car, whenever the people inside the car or the driver smokes. this system can be beneficial to keep the environment in the car healthy and can be helpful for safe driving. For this, we will be using Arduino programming and mainly MQ2 and MQ135 sensor to detect smoke. © 2024 IEEE.

the progression in quantum computing and the rapid development of quantum computation hardware has raised expectations for its application to commercially relevant use cases in the future. However, the need for high-level quantum programming abstractions and targeted use cases paired with vertical applications, which can directly benefit from quantum computing, remains an open challenge. this paper presents our vision for a decentralized architecture for swarm based IoT systems that leverages a high-level continuous development and integration quantum programming suite to support edge processing capabilities for different use cases across the edge-fog-cloud continuum. the planned Quantum DevKit provides the necessary abstractions and low-level backend interfaces for quantum computing infrastructure, enabling edge computation using quantum processing, with extensions to efficient management of Service Level Agreements (SLAs). the paper focuses on the presentation of the development kit and its coupling swarm-based architecture that automates the orchestration of the cloud-to-edge continuum, showcasing the potential of quantum technology in edge processing. © 2024 Elsevier B.V.. the most significant issue in cities is garbage collection. the average amount of waste a person produces daily rises as the population grows, creating severe waste management issues. Any municipality's most pressing issues are bin status monitoring, locating the shortest route, and vehicle costs. the problem's consequences result in inadequate waste monitoring and management procedures. An effective garbage collection system that periodically measures the amount of garbage in the bins is used to solve these issues. the shortest route can be determined using this bin's status. the vehicle only went to the places where the bins in the city are full. the Wi-Fi module will transmit all of the information to the municipality. the main objective of the proposed work is to create a flexible application that dynamically solve the issue of late bin clearance, poor management of bins etc. the path selection is made by using the Travelling Salesman Algorithm in the Dynamic programming approach. the sensor network is utilized to gather information regarding the garbage contents in the bins and remotely trigger the request for a cleaning process using the Internet of things. the internet is connected with microcontroller hardware using a Node-MCU device, or ESP8266, a small internet-supporting module that works as a plug-and-play module to any microcontroller. the primary objective of this system is to send information to the municipality and the mobile application regarding the status of the bin, the minimum cost path, the total travel distance, and the kind of vehicle required. this system aims to shorten travel time, save money on diesel and human resources for garbage collection, and improve waste collection and monitoring. © 2023 IEEE.

With the high penetration of renewable energy and the execution of renewable portfolio standards, it becomes urgent to analyze the behavior of a wind power producer (WPP) in energy and green certificate markets. To this end, we propose a strategic offering model for a WPP, aiming to analyze the impact of exercising market power on market clearing results and social welfare. Afterwards, the model is transformed into stochastic mathematical programming with equilibrium constraints (MPEC) and eventually mixed integer linear programming (MILP), which can be solved by off-the-shelf solvers. Finally, case studies are carried out on a small test system, illustrating that the market clearing price might increase compared with the perfect competition situation, and the expected profit of WPP increases at the expense of market efficiency. Besides, we analyse the impact of line congestion on the revenue of WPP. © 2024 IEEE.

Aiming at the disadvantages of long training time and high model complexity caused by individual bloat in genetic programming, an improved genetic programming algorithm based on bloat control is proposed. First, species are divided according to the differences between individuals, and individuals are evaluated by adjusted penalty fitness. then, during the population evolution stage, individuals are selected by density and adjusted penalty fitness, and the improved search strategy is used to search and optimize the selected individuals. the survival mechanism of individuals retains the excellent evolutionary information in the population. Finally, the 7 benchmark functions are simulated and compared with other relevant bloat control algorithms. the experimental results show that the proposed algorithm compared with the 4 comparative algorithms can effectively control individual bloat on the basis of ensuring the optimization ability. © 2023 IEEE.
