In Japan, accidents are occurring when visually impaired people go out. For example, a collision with an obstacle such as a person or a wall, or a fall from the station platform. A current measure for this problem is a voice guidance. However, visually impaired people place importance on auditory information. therefore, it is difficult for them to hear surrounding sounds during listening the voice guidance. there is a previous research that trying to guide the visually impaired people to their destination by vibration transmission. However, although this study have realized the guidance of the visually impaired people to their destination without interrupting environmental sounds, this method cannot correct the veering in real time. For above reason, we propose a veering correction system by vibration transmission, which does not disturb acquisition of auditory information. this is a system that gives them vibration by wearing a vibration motor on their shoulders and corrects the veering. In this article, we conducted verification experiment of the effectiveness of the veering correction by vibration transmission as a preliminary study in the development of the veering correction system. As a result of the research, we were able to keep the deviations from over 100 cm to less than 100 cm. As a conclusion, vibration transmission is effective as a method of correcting the veering of visually impaired people. © 2019 Association for Computing Machinery.

Since the limited capability of single one, cloud services need to be assembled to form business process, which crate for users demands. However, to realize service composition is a time-consuming task which requires users know both the business logic and techniques of service composition. Its main reason is that current solution lacks a suitable language which can implement cloud service and easy to use. Regarding this issue, we put forward JSL, a new dialect language for integrating services. Because interaction is the basis of service composition, JSL apply session to depict the operation of interaction, then express complex composition further. JSL also use functions operators to shield the prone-to-error concurrent programming. Moreover, we designed model-driven framework to support JSL Simulation experiences demonstrates the efficiency of JSL since JSL and its framework can speed up the development and decrease the concurrent mistakes. © 2019 Association for Computing Machinery.

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is an important medical diagnosis technique in clinical diagnosis, while the quality of MR images is always damaged by the noise which is caused in the image acquisition process. In the classic image denoising methods, how to design an excellent regularizer with the prior knowledge of image is the key to solve the denoising problem. In this work, we introduce the deep neural regularizer for the MRI denoising tasks, the deep neural regularizer is made up of neural network structure and objective function, similar to the classic regularizer, both of these two parts are designed with the prior knowledge of image. the proposed neural network has three main parts: encoder network, decoder network and skip connections, the encoder network which consists of five down-sampling blocks is enforced to deeply extract low-resolution or highly-abstract MR image features, similar to the encoder network architecture, the decoder network is made up of five up-sampling blocks and is enforced to restore high-resolution MR image features. To generate more finer image features, we also use skip connections to transmit the abstract information from encoder to decoder directly. the objective function consists of data fidelity term and image quality penalty term, specifically, to enforce the capability of data fidelity term, we add the self-designed image structural consistency calculation to data fidelity term besides only calculating the image consistency over image pixels with mean squared error. Meanwhile, to guide the network generate more clearer image and reduce noise information, with the prior knowledge of image sharpness, an image quality penalty term which calculates the MR image sharpness is also added to the objective function. Experimental results over the simulated MRI data and real clinical data demonstrate the proposed network can achieve superior performance compared with other methods in terms of peak signal to noise ratio, structure simi

this paper presents the results of a study on trusses which are need to satisfy optimal conditions, i.e. the lowest Cost possible cost with maximal performance. the trusses considered were statically indeterminate steel structures with a multi-system loading. the cost is represented by the material volume of the structure and the maximal performance is reflected by the high working stresses reflect the maximum performance within allowable stress limits. the material strength was modeled as a random variable with a Log Normal distribution. the structures are also required to meet a failure probability of Pf =10-3, which may occur locally within the elements as well as globally on the structure as a whole. the complexity of optimization problems depends in general on the number of the considered variables. the larger the number of variables considered, the more complicated becomes the solution process. therefore, cases of single variable elements such as multi variables ones were considered in this study. Optimization problems are usually solved by applying iterative procedures, frequently resorting to mathematical programming. In these procedures the process usually converges to unreliable solutions;it even may completely bogged down with no solution. To circumvent this problem, iteration was carried out by applying Genetic Algorithms where the process proceeds in a stochastic manner. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

An effective spare part supply system planning is essential to achieve a high capital asset availability. We investigate the design problem of a repair shop in a single echelon repairable multi-item spare parts supply system. the repair shop usually consists of several servers with different skill sets. Once a failure occurs in the system, the failed part is queued to be served by a suitable server that has the required skill. We model the repair shop as a collection of independent sub-systems, where each sub-system is responsible for repairing certain types of failed parts. the procedure of partitioning a repair shop into sub-systems is known as pooling, and the repair shop formed by the union of independent sub-systems is called a pooled repair shop. Identifying the best partition is a challenging combinatorial optimization problem. In this direction, we formulate the problem as a stochastic nonlinear integer programming model and propose a sequential solution heuristic to find the best-pooled design by considering inventory allocation and capacity level designation of the repair shop. We conduct numerical experiments to quantify the value of the pooled repair shop designs. Our analysis shows that pooled designs can yield cost reductions by 25% to 45% compared to full flexible and dedicated designs. the proposed heuristic also achieves a lower average total system cost than that generated by a Genetic Algorithm (GA)-based solution algorithm. © 2019, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

the feed-in tariff (FIT) programs resulted in rapid growth of renewable power sources in various countries. In Japan, the program particularly triggered explosive growth of solar power generations because of its short lead-time and high tariff level. Although mass introduction of renewable power sources certainly contributes to reduce CO2 emissions, it causes serious instability issues in power systems. One of the most serious issues is management of imbalances resulting from forecast errors in solar power generations. these imbalances must be compensated so as to keep stable operation in power systems. On the other hand, local power retail companies are increasing nowadays in various countries including Japan. these companies are mainly procuring renewable power sources such as solar power *** these circumstances into consideration, this article aims at exploring measures to manage the imbalances of power systems by local power retail companies. For this purpose, we developed a model in mixed integer linear programming to operate power systems dealing with the imbalances. Evaluated results using the model indicated the followings;appropriate adoption of stationary or home batteries is shown to economically compensate the imbalances by local power retail companies. © the Authors, published by EDP sciences, 2019.
