the multi-objective integer programming problems in large scale are considered time consuming. In the past, mathematical structures were used that can get benefits of high processing powers and parallel processing. the Branch and Bound (B&B) algorithm is one of the most used methods to solve combinatorial optimization problems. A general approach to generate all non-dominated solutions of the multi-objective integer programming (MOIP) Problem is developed. In this paper, a supervisor-master-sub-master-worker algorithm to solve large scale integer multi-objective problems that can get the benefits of mathematical structures and high processing powers has been proposed. this approach addresses several issues related to the characteristics of the algorithm itself and the properties of parallel computing systems. From the solved benchmark example this algorithm proved to provide a considerable high performance. Results show that a consistently better efficiency can be achieved in solving integer equations, providing reduction of time.

Virtualized Cloud platforms have become increasingly common and the number of online services hosted on these platforms is also increasing rapidly. A key problem faced by providers in managing these services is detecting the performance anomalies and adjusting resources accordingly. As online services generate a very large amount of monitored data in the form of time series, it becomes very difficult to process this complex data by traditional approaches. In this work, we present a novel distributed parallel approach for performance anomaly detection. We build upon Holt-Winters forecasting for automatic aberrant behavior detection in time series. First, we extend the technique to work with MapReduce paradigm. Next, we correlate the anomalous metrics with the target Service Level Objective (SLO) in order to locate the suspicious metrics. We implemented and evaluated our approach on a production Cloud encompassing IaaS and PaaS service models. Experimental results confirm that our approach is efficient and effective in capturing the metrics causing performance anomalies in large time series datasets.

Future scalable, high throughput, and high performance applications are. likely to execute on platforms constructed by clustering multiple autonomous distributed servers, with resource access governed by agreements between the owners and users of these servers. Such systems raise several new resource management challenges, chief amongst which is the enforcement of agreements to ensure that, despite the distributed nature of both requests and resources, user requests only receive a predetermined share of the aggregate resource. Current solutions only enforce such agreements at a coarse granularity and in a centralized fashion, limiting their applicability. this paper presents an architecture for the distributed enforcement of resource sharing agreements. Our approach exploits a uniform application-independent representation of agreements, and combines it with efficient tune-window based coordinated queuing algorithms running on multiple nodes. We have successfully implemented this general strategy in two different network layers: a Layer-7 HTTP redirector and a Layer-4 IP packet redirector; which redirect connection requests from distributed clients to a cluster of distributed servers. Our measurements of both implementations verify that our approach is general and effective.

the growing size of sequence, protein and other biological databases results in an increased computational complexity of the analysis process. Often parallelization is the only solution to limit the turnaround time within reasonable limits. Most scalability studies focus on the parallel algorithm and the resulting communication and synchronization patterns of the implementations. In this paper we examine to what extend I/O bottlenecks limit the scalability on current and future architectures. We study the behavior of two different bioinformatics applications (thREADER, HMMER) and show that these applications are representatives of two different classes with distinct I/O profiles and demands.

distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attack is a malicious cyber-attack which targets availability element in CIA triad and to disrupt the availability of network services of a target by performing a huge malicious traffic flood. To conduct the study, a standard benchmark dataset DDoS Attack SDN Dataset is applied. EDA and Data Pre-processing are performed to ensure a clean dataset is produced for obtaining an accurate and meaningful detection performance results. Hyperparameter tuning is performed to enhance the detection performance of the models. It is proposed that DNN shows the promising results as it has shown 99.84% accuracy to detect DDoS attack after performing hyperparameter tuning. It is observed that hyperparameter tuning has improved and increased most of the performance results of DNN and DT, with increment 4.84% in DT while 0.97% in DNN. Besides, the detection results have been increased and their false detection has been reduced. this study could help to reduce the dwell time of DDoS attack, increase the Mean Time To Contain (MTTC) and avoid alarm fatigue.

A synchronous multi-channel baseband real time spectrum analyzer is proposed in this paper, which can be used for acquisition and analysis of multi-port network signals. the 60MSps simultaneously-sampling and real-time spectrum analysis are realized for 4 parallel channels, which provides a maximum analysis bandwidth of 30MHz with adjustable frequency resolution. All digital analysis algorithms are implemented on a single FPGA chip. the approach of this paper provide an experimental tool for studying crosstalk of cables and wire harness.

In recent years, heterogeneous HPC systems, whichcombine traditional processors with accelerator cards such as GPUs, have been shown to deliver superior performance and power efficiency. Since different scientific problems pose different demands on the computer architecture, some general purpose supercomputers consist of different types of nodes, where each type is suited best for certain applications. Such clusters with inter-node heterogeneity (different types of nodes) on top of intra-node heterogeneity (different processors inside one node) consist of compute nodes with different compute performances. the standard implementation of the Linpack benchmark, HPL, distributes the workload evenly among all processes and thus cannot exploit the cluster's full potential if the nodes have unequalperformance. this paper presents a new feature of our HPL-GPU implementation which allows a balanced fine-tuned workload distribution among all compute nodes taking into account their individual compute capabilities. We present results on some nodes of different speed-grades on the LOEWE-CSC cluster and demonstrate that our implementation can utilize all nodes of a heterogeneous configuration efficiently showing only about 3% granularity loss.

this paper investigates the existence of compilers to convert programs that use shared read/write variables, with sequentially consistent memory semantics, to programs that use read/write variables with the semantics of one variant of processor consistency, known as PC-G. We first provide a simple program transformation, and prove that it compiles any 2-process program with only single-writer variables. We show that this transformation is not a general compiler for 3 or more processes; however, it does correctly transform some specific n-process programs. In particular, for the special case of the (expected) wait-free Test&Set algorithm of Tromp and Vitanyi, our transformation extends to any number of processes. thus, one notable outcome is an implementation of Test&Set on PC-G that uses only reads and writes of shared variables. this is the first expected wait-free implementation of Test&Set on any weak memory model, and illustrates the use of randomization with a weak memory model.

Previous strategies for instruction level temporal redundancy in super-scalar out-of-order processors have up to 45% performance degradation in certain applications compared to normal execution. the reason is that the redundant workload slows down the normal execution. Solutions are proposed to avoid certain redundant execution by reusing the result of the previously executed instructions. But there are still limitations on the instruction level parallelism and the pipeline throughput. this paper proposes a novel technique to recover the performance gap between instruction level temporal redundancy and normal execution. We present micro-architectural extensions necessary for implementing the reliability prediction and integrating it with the issue logic of a dual instruction stream superscalar core, and conduct extensive evaluations to demonstrate how well it can solve the performance problem. Experiments show that in average it can gain back nearly 71.13% of the overall IPC loss caused by redundant execution.
