the research aims to develop a solar cell system simulation for renewable energy learning innovation. Active Learning with STEM education is used in the teaching and learning method. the research instruments include a solar cell system experimental set, a solar system simulator, an assessment form, and a questionnaire. the research methods are divided into four steps: analysis, design, Development, and Evaluation. the research findings revealed that the five experts' view of appropriation in utilizing the solar cell system simulation for learning was of high suitability, and the satisfaction of ten users was also of high level. Finally, the solar cell simulation system for learning can be used effectively in the learning and teaching of science and technology courses. © 2023 IEEE.

the development of IOT smart devices has necessitated increasingly stringent requirements for DC power sources in terms of output voltage, size, and cost. For instance, Avalanche Photodiodes (APDs), utilized as photodetectors, require a significantly high reverse bias voltage during the detection of feeble optical signals to achieve optimal gain and high signal-to-noise ratio, thereby ensuring exceptional sensitivity. To address the diverse demands of various smart devices for DC power, a high-output DC/DC boost circuit without a step-up transformer has been innovatively designed. this circuit is comprised of four fundamental components: an oscillator circuit, a comparator circuit, a voltage multiplier circuit, and a constant-current and voltage-stabilizing circuit. the paper conducts a comprehensive theoretical analysis of the circuit's topology, parameter selection, and operational process, which is further validated through Multisim simulation. Additionally, a PCB circuit was designed, fabricated, and underwent rigorous practical testing. the test results conclusively demonstrate that the designed boost circuit proficiently provides APDs with the appropriate bias voltage, eliminating the need for boost transformer. It boasts high output voltage, a simplistic structure, small size, and low cost, enabling it to seamlessly share the same input power source with the APD detection circuit and be integrated into the same PCB layout. © 2024 IEEE.

With the expansion of IoT application scenarios, the demand for edge IoT devices with integrated video analysis capabilities is gradually increasing. In remote areas where cellular base stations cannot reach, a low-cost wireless communication self-organizing network is urgently needed to transmit video processing results and images. LoRa has strong anti-interference performance and relatively high transmission rate, which is suitable for completing delay-tolerant information transmission. However, the traditional LoRaWAN protocol has low efficiency in image transmission. this paper proposes a multi-packet transmission communication protocol based on LoRa, which reduces the time for traditional communication protocol confirmation and processing, and focuses more on the image transmission of LoRa. Experimental results show that the multi-packet transmission protocol achieves relatively high communication efficiency. © 2023 IEEE.

Gas turbines blades are subjected to significantly high temperature, pressure, and centrifugal load for prolong period. To withstand this severe operating condition, turbines blades are made up of nickel base superalloy. However, still we observe that creep is one of the dominant failure modes for turbine blade and could cause significant damage to the turbine section. Creep is the progressive time-dependent in elastic deformation resulting from high stress and temperature. Because of above reasons, creep evaluation becomes an imperative part of the turbine design. Creep analysis involves multiple discipline such as aerodynamic, heat-transfer and mechanical integrity. Additionally, conventional creep analysis using finite element model requires defeaturing of models, meshing of geometry, boundary condition application, material definition, solving the model and post processing. the process involves a numerical solution of differential equations that governed these physical phenomena. the above steps need significant time, computational resource, and manpower. the mentioned limitation could be overcome by leveraging data driven techniques for calculating maximum creep strain using system level parameters. In this work, machine learning techniques are explored to predict maximum creep strain in gas turbine blades. Machine learning models will use FEA results as input to predict the maximum creep strain values. Since creep strain is a continuous variable, hence regression-based ML model will be studied. the input parameter used for building the machine learning models are coolant temperature, coolant mass flow rate, hot side mass flow rate, turbine inlet temperature along with blade material. Among all the data, 75% data were used for training purpose and 25% data were used for evaluating the machine learning model performance. Secure communication has become increasingly important with the rise of online communication and data privacy concerns. Image steganography is a popular method for secure communication, but existing systems face several challenges. One of the primary challenges is maintaining image quality while hiding a significant amount of data within the image. Additionally, many existing systems are not user-friendly or system-independent, making them less accessible to a wider range of users. Security and detection of hidden messages are also challenges that need to be addressed. To address these challenges, user-friendly Telegram bot for image steganography that uses the F5 algorithm for JPEG images and the LSB algorithm for PNG images is presented in the study. the objective is to provide a secure and user-friendly platform for image steganography that is easily accessible and system-independent. the use of Telegram as the platform for the bot provides a familiar and widely-used interface that many users are comfortable with. Additionally, the use of encryption ensures that hidden messages are transmitted securely and cannot be easily intercepted or detected. this survey demonstrates that the proposed system provides high-quality steganography images that are difficult to detect, addressing the challenge of detection. Overall, the proposed system aims to overcome the challenges faced by existing image steganography systems and provide a reliable and effective method for secure communication. © 2023 IEEE.

Turbochargers use the energy from the exhaust gases to power the compressor, improving the engine's efficiency and reducing emissions. Working fluid runs past the turbine spin blades while the wheel rotates at high speeds with centrifugal forces acting on it. the primary focus of the work is on the turbine wheels of turbochargers. the wheels are prone to faults because they are manufactured using a casting process. Many failures and vibrations in the turbocharger are caused by mass imbalance. In order to mass balance the turbine wheel, back face material must be removed. the wheel's strength and load-carrying capacity must be preserved when material is removed. the turbine wheels are made of inconel. Two-plane balance is used to make several adjustments to the back face. the balancing cut could put the wheel under more stress depending on a number of factors. Trial and error is still used frequently, but it is a time-consuming procedure that involves many iterations. the goal of this research is to determine the key elements that cause stress to rise during balancing cut, as well as how their behaviour can change, and to identify locations on the back face of the turbine wheel where stress levels are acceptable and material can be removed. In this work, the ANSYS simulation is used to validate analytical calculations for the cut and back face of the turbine wheel. Optimisation is used to determine the best location for the groove on the turbine wheel back face. Optimisation methods are applied within the ANSYS software to comprehend the nature of the response and DOEs and to obtain the best feasible solutions for the problem. High depth of cut and tip radius contribute to higher material removal, enhancing the balancing capacity by approximately 22.44%. the provided parametric correlation table allows for simple to understand the connection between all of the parameters considered in the balancing groove optimisation.

this work isfocused on the design and analysis of MEMS thermal Actuators. thermal actuators are used in various applications such as micro grippers, micro mirror and switching application by applying voltage. It is preferred because the performance of thermal actuator is powerful. It works on the principle that when voltage is applied current flows through the beam and it produces displacement stress and that displacement helps us to grip the micro objects. Goal of this work is to reduce the stress because if stress is high, the micro object will be damaged. If the object is damaged, it will increase the expense of the experiment. So, this analysis and experiment is to reduce the stress by reducing the stress we can reduce the expense and we can make reuse of the object. the material used is Aluminium. the input voltage of 0.2 V is given and displacement obtained is 8.0046×104 µm. © 2022 IEEE.

Cable-Driven Parallel Robots have several advantages over both conventional serial and parallel robots, notably in terms of scalable workspace. these robots could provide an alternative tomobile and gantry crane systems, increasing payload stability, allowing higher accelerations and reducing cost. However, in order to provide such capabilities, the base attachment pointsmust be located outside the workspace boundaries, meaning that the cables form straight lines running through the workspace to the mobile platform. Consequently, such systems can only feasibly operate in unencumbered locations, or alternatively, be configured with a specific task in mind thus severely limiting their functionality. One potential solution to this problem is a composite mechanism that docks then deploy a sub-mechanism. In this paper, a methodology is proposed to obtain the Wrench-Feasible-Workspace of a composite Cable-Driven Parallel Robot by determining its Available Wrench Set. We define three operation modes of such system and show that the Available Wrench Set in each operation mode depends on the static equilibrium of the dual-platform and contact conditions. the Available Wrench Set is constructed by the Hyperplane Shifting Method and is validated in simulation.

In modern power systems, the good and safe operation of voltage source converters (VSCs) is of principal importance. the aim is twofold: to regulate the active and reactive power injected to the grid and simultaneously to protect the VSC from overcurrent situations usually occurred after some abnormal grid conditions. A novel solution to this open problem is provided in this paper. Specifically, we present a novel current-limiting control scheme that enables to accurately limit the RMS current value of the VSC, even under abrupt faults. the controllers are implemented in the well-known d-q synchronously rotating reference frame for a VSC that is connected to a stiff bus through an LC filter. the synchronization with the grid-bus is carried out by a robust synchronization unit (RSU), whereas a modified PQ controller that efficiently accommodates the nature of the RSU and the inner-loop control scheme is implemented. the proposed design is analyzed through large signal analysis;it is established that the system is locally-input to state stable (l-ISS). Also, asymptotic stability and convergence to the equilibrium, is proven, in the domain of attraction as it is determined by the limiting current controller operation. Finally, the studied system is tested under various simulation scenarios where in conventional situations large current values are normally expected. In our case, the current-limiting property is fully verified and a smooth response to equilibrium is observed. ©2024 IEEE.
