Research into GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) acceleration using programmable logic arrays has mostly focused on Convolutional Neural Networks. these studies demonstrate the effectiveness of CNNs in various technical vision tasks, such as feature extraction, image analysis, face identification, and rear cross-traffic alert, amongst many others. As a result, there are restrictions on the times in which the CNN model can be implemented on FPGA, such as the restrictions on the quantity of on-chip memory, the dimensions of the CNN, and the parameters of the model. this work suggests a television commercial and an advanced CNN prototype informed by the basic AlexNet prototype. the proposed architecture uses a Commercial engine, an improved version of the insight separates, and a distinct permutation unit. In addition, the designers provide a GPU integration model that supports the Mish and Rectified linear initiation characteristics. the suggested method has a comparatively high detection accuracy while consuming a relatively little amount of the computer system's resources in contrast to other methods considered to be state-of-the-art. this proposed system is design in RTL Verilog Hardware description language. the proposed system is implemented in Xilinx ISE design Suite-13.1 for use on Spartan -6 (Target Device). the synthesis tool optimized speed, area, and power. © 2023 IEEE.

Round sleeve automotive terminals are used in automotive connectors in safety and infotainment systems. During terminal assembly in connector, the plastic cavity is subjected to stress concentration at the sharp edges. To overcome this, edge blends were considered to be included. Stress Concentration Factor curves and associated data corresponding to double and single edge blend design of cavity at the terminal interface were considered for the training and testing of a feed-forward Neural Network with backpropagation developed using TensorFlow open source library. Predictions for the Stress Concentration Factor (Kr) were done and the results were tabulated for values within and beyond the dataset. A study of variation of Mean Absolute Error against number Epochs demonstrated a decreasing correlation and the percentage error showed an overall decreasing trend. the maximum stress values from the Curve generated, finite element analysis and neural network predictions were found to be in close agreement with each other, thereby validating the process. the neural network can thus be used to predict the stress concentration factor for any size and edge blend to cavity diameter ratio with as well as beyond the dataset for the configuration under consideration with deviation of mere 0.14%, which is the novelty. © 2024 IEEE.

One of the ways humans communicate is by using facial expressions. In psychology, the detection of emotions or facial expressions requires analysis and assessment of decisions in predicting a person's emotions or group of people in communicating. Emotion is powerful in many ways because it can influence a decision and urge people to act. this emotion like anger, happiness, sadness, disgust, fear, surprise, and neutral detection is used for human behaviour and understanding, action of mental disorders, and synthetic human expressions. this can be used in healthcare, marketing, and manufacturing. Here the paper is based on marketing where we can detect the emotions of the people watching the ads. this emotion detection for the ads can be used for predictions like whether customers will like the product or not, whether the sales will increase or not, etc. the methodology used to predict human emotion through the face is CNN and MobileNetV2 with LSTM which is a pretrained model. the architecture involves pre-processing of the data, feature detection, face detection, and detection of emotion. there are various datasets used for detecting emotions like FER-2013, JAFFE, CK+, etc. Here the FER-2013 is used. the performance of the model is measured by using confusion matrix, recall, precision, f1-score, and accuracy. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper, an adaptive neural network sliding mode control (SMC) method based on Udwadia-Kalaba theory is proposed for the modeling and control of complex incomplete constrained electromechanical systems, such as manipulators. the performance of the proposed method is compared with that of the traditional SMC controller, and the analysis is conducted using Matlab simulations. the analysis reveals that the proposed method exhibits superior performance in terms of achieving high-precision control of the manipulator while effectively mitigating chattering commonly associated with sliding mode control. © 2023 IEEE.

As the level of circuit integration increases, the physical design becomes more and more complex, iterative static timing analysis(STA) is one of the most time-consuming task to achieve timing closure. After the route stage, fast and accurate timing analysis prediction can effectively reduce the number of static timing analysis in iterations, thereby improving design efficiency and reducing design cycle. In order to quickly predict the timing results after route, we propose a fast timing analysis predictor based on gate recurrent unit (GRU) neural network. this method extracts the features of combinations of cells and nets, assigns attention weights to different combinations, then predicts the hold slacks and setup slacks of each path in multi-corners. the experimental results in the sub-30nm show that the standard deviation of the prediction error ranges 5.41∼16.44ps, and the mean absolute error ranges 6.87∼18.55ps, and the prediction correlation is more than 0.96. Moreover, the speed of timing path prediction is more than 197 times faster than the analysis by STA tools, so that it can effectively and accurately accelerate the process of timing analysis and improve the efficiency of physical design. © 2023 IEEE.

Natural fiber-reinforced polymeric composites are becoming increasingly prominent in engineering applications. this study aims to evaluate the impact of hybridizing various laminate stacking sequences that incorporate bamboo (B), kenaf (K), and sisal (S) woven fabric. the investigation focuses on the analysis of mechanical attributes of the layered composite samples. Amount of stress induced and total deformation of the layered composite was measured. the effect of hybridization can be observed from the amount of stress developed in each composite. Impact analysis was also carried out. the impact test consisted of the impact of a spherical ball on bonnet, Solidworks and ANSYS Workbench were used to design the model and to analyze of the bonnet respectively. From the results obtained from ANSYS, the deformation, stresses, were compared. From these comparisons, it can be concluded that the hybrid kenaf and sisal fiber showed higher deformation and stress induced compared to hybrid kenaf/bamboo and bamboo/sisal composites. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.
