Relay protection relies on non-power frequency information to determine the state of power system in some situations. It necessitates the use of precise and effective notch filters to eliminate the power frequency component that might confuse the non-power frequency measurement process. the conventional filters may amplify or suppress the non-power frequency signals when removing the power frequency one, causing signal distortion. this paper presents a digital infinite impulse response (IIR) notch filter design based on triangular transform. the frequency response of the filter is optimized by the pole position displacement, which reduces the distortion of the filtered signals. the proposed notch filter's robustness is then increased by using the cross-panning method to extend the filter's window length. the filter is validated by MATLAB simulation of harmonics analysis and applied in experimental tests of grounding parameter calculation of distribution networks. the result demonstrates that the filter can raise the accuracy and dependability of signal processing. It can be useful for abnormal state perception of novel power systems like fault identification, harmonic tracing, and disturbance feature extraction. © 2023 IEEE.

this paper introduces a hardware platform and software algorithm for the design of relay satellite LDPC encoding and decoding, And use computer simulation method to simulate the performance of LDPC (8176, 7154) code normalization minimization decoding algorithm, determine the correction factor of the decoder through analysis and simulation verification. Compared with the uncoded system, the system can obtain a coding gain of about 7.0 dB, which is consistent with the index results given in the CCSDS standard. © 2023, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

the proliferation of deep fake technology presents a substantial peril to both individuals and society, underscoring the urgent requirement for the development of effective deep fake detection techniques. this study introduces a novel methodology that combines convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and deep convolutional generative adversarial networks (DCGANs) in order to improve the detection of deep fake videos. In this study, we present the findings of our research, which involved a comparative analysis of the CNN, recurrent neural network (RNN), and CNN-DCGAN models. the performance evaluation was conducted based on several metrics, including accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, Matthews correlation coefficient (MCC), and Cohen’s Kappa. the accuracy of the DCGAN model reached 99.2%, establishing a benchmark for comparative analysis. Although the CNN and RNN models demonstrate satisfactory performance, the hybrid approach of CNN-DCGAN surpasses them in various metrics, thereby showcasing its potential for effective identification of deep fakes. this study emphasizes the efficacy of integrating convolutional neural networks (CNNs) for extracting features and deep convolutional generative adversarial networks (DCGANs) for generating synthetic data. this advancement holds promise for the development of more sophisticated and dependable deep fake detection systems, particularly in a time where the risk of manipulated media is escalating. © the Author(s).

Centrifugal devices are now used in clinical practise to separate plasma or cells from blood. Because of the current procedure, patients must wait at the hospital or laboratory where the separation facility is located. Physical filtration methods like microfiltration might be used to remove germs and other particles from a sample fluid by forcing the fluid through a particular pore-sized *** are several advantages of using microfluidic devices for chemical and medicinal analysis. It is used in blood diagnostic testing and may be used to separate blood components. By using capillary force, a tiny sample of blood may be delivered into the narrow channel. Cells may be easily removed from the blood sample because the depth of the filter channel is lower than the diameter of blood cells. In this work, PDMS Microfilter is designed for separating the plasma from whole blood. © 2022 IEEE.

Deploying structural control devices based on machine learning is a significant advancement for infrastructure management. Such systems, capable of combining IoT and artificial intelligence, make it possible to detect and deal with various structural incidents on time. Machine learning plays an important role, as it analyzes data from sensors placed on the structure, such as vibration, acceleration, and temperature. Its ability to continuously learn over time from the data allows the device to identify faults increasingly effectively. this enables effective predictive maintenance, which reduces costs and increases safety. Several data analysis tools exploit various machine learning techniques. Recently, numerous disaster-related studies have integrated Remote-Sensing (RS) technology alongside picture processing and conventional methods. One example is identifying earthquake damage to buildings in orthophotos. Common approaches to creating damage maps from RS pictures include automatic and visual methods. However, because of the need for manual sampling, the visual method is laborious. By extracting the defect features, the automatic technique can identify the damaged structure. Challenges to the widespread use of automatic methods are presented by the great variety of design approaches and the dynamic nature of real-world situations, such as variations in shadow and light. To better train neural networks with less interference from measurement noise, principal component analysis (PCA) is used. After PCA is applied to the DI values, an ensemble of neural networks is utilized to provide predictions about the location and severity of damage. Convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and recurrent neural networks (RNNs) are two widely used methods in machine learning, and the CRNN approach combines the two (RNNs). As compared to the CNN and RNN models, the proposed technique performs admirably. © 2023 IEEE.

the paper presents the results of the analysis of the economic curves of overhead power lines with subsequent justification of the design of the power line. In the paper, economic curves are constructed for a line with a rated voltage of 750 kV. the cross-sections, the use of which is justified depending on the transmitted power, are determined. the analysis of the influence of design parameters on the occurrence of resonant overvoltages in non-sinusoidal overvoltages has been carried out. three-dimensional graphs of dependences of overvoltage values on changes in the distance between phases and split wires are constructed. © 2022 IEEE.

Radio over Fiber (RoF) is an exotic technology for next-generation wireless networks, including fifth-generation Cloud-Radio Access Networks (C-RAN). In this paper, we propose a fronthaul interface, demonstrated through numerical simulations, for two wireless signal channels in the VHF frequency band using DPSK and CPFSK modulation schemes without needing to use forward error correction coding over a standard single-mode optical fiber span of 20 km. the proposed method is capable of efficiently supporting a high bandwidth of the optical fiber link up to 2.8 Gbps while maintaining a bit error rate (BER) less than 10-9. Performance analysises have been demonstrated by the numerical simulation for the proposed digital RoF technique. Notably, the performance evaluation of two channels with two advanced digital modulation methods is reported through the analysis of quality parameters, including eye diagrams and signal-To-noise ratio. It is indicated that digital optical links can support long-distance transmission of over 20 km with low-level power laser transmitters without the need for the dispersion compensation process, meeting the requirements of wideband C-RAN systems. © 2023 IEEE.

the automatic description of the content of an image is a challenge that combines computer vision with natural language processing in the field of artificial intelligence. Most existing models have limitations in accurately identifying subtle elements of an image and counting the number of people present. To address this challenge, we introduce the natural-language scene description network (NSDN), which incorporates recent developments in computer vision and machine translation to generate descriptive phrases that effectively depict images. this technology has the potential to improve the efficiency, capacity, reliability, and safety of crowd management tasks, particularly in diverse and adaptive crowd situations. Despite challenges such as clutter, occlusion, non-uniform object scale, and irregular object distribution, YOLO shows promise for intelligent crowd counting and analysis in images. this article reviews, categorizes, analyzes distinguishing features, and extensively assesses the effectiveness of crowd-counting methods that rely on convolutional neural networks and provides a detailed analysis of their performance. © the Author(s).

the optimal design of a train scheduling scheme has been a focal point of research within the train dispatching domain. Given that the operation of the train is affected by multiple uncertain factors, this paper integrates digital twin technology into train simulation, adopts a physical train model as the foundation, and utilizes a virtual layer model approach. Based on a five-dimensional digital twin framework, the digital twin model of train simulation operation is constructed from three levels of elements, behaviors, and rules. Furthermore, a Gaussian process regression method is employed to perform in-depth machine learning on original training data, generating more precise driving data, which can be used to simulate train operations. Additionally, various charts are provided to facilitate real-time visualization of the simulation results. theoretical analysis and experimental validation demonstrate the accuracy and usability of the proposed model, which exhibits high engineering application value and provides scientific support for optimizing train scheduling schemes. © 2024 IEEE.
