A pilot study examined undergraduate interior design juniors’ technology acceptance of virtual reality (VR) technology, correlating it to their spatial presence capability. the pilot study pre-tested with a sample size of 13. It tested for the students’ perception of spatial presence capabilities. Also, it tested the validity of the Measurement, Effects, Conditions- Spatial Presence Questionnaire (MEC-SPQ) survey. the pilot study tested for a correlation between spatial presence capabilities and technology acceptance. A bivariate correlation analysis was performed. the variables were found to be highly correlated. the data derived from the analysis showed that technology acceptance was statistically significant and positively correlated with spatial presence capabilities, r(13) =.74, p © 2023, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Twitter is the best source for sentiment analysis, product reviews, current issues, etc. Sentiment analysis extracts positive and negative opinions from the Twitter data set, and R studio provides the best environment for this Twitter sentiment analysis. Find if Trump’s phone Android is fake or not by comparing his iPhone and Android tweets using R with datasets. Detailed analysis is not there. the Twitter data collected might not be representative of the entire population. By using filtering of tweets as we need Android and iPhone tweets here and usage of tweets per day, no of tweets with and without quotes and pictures and links, taking common words from Android and iPhone and trying with log ratio that is Android /iPhone and with log ratio and common word find sentiment. We got good results by the usage of Twitter of each device, no of tweets quoted and non-quoted, no picture/link and picture/link, most common words, words compare with Android and iPhone and log ratio, finding sentiment of it which type of word it is. My work helps his account is a trump or not for Android as it contains negative tweets by common words, Android and iPhone words and log odd ratio with that it detects sentiment as it is a positive, negative or neutral by showing anger, sad, happy, etc. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

the integration of digitalization in production systems is now a crucial requirement for both new as well as existing systems. By utilizing digital twins, which are virtual simulations of actual production systems, we can streamline analysis processes, improve our understanding of the systems, and unlock numerous optimization opportunities. In tandem, integrating machine-learning methods enables the processing of digital data, unveiling novel production control strategies. this paper aims to develop a control method for a production system operating in a dynamic environment using reinforcement learning. the designed reinforcement learning agent's role is to minimize production costs in terms of inventory and backordered demands and the dynamic behavior of the system is achieved through discrete event simulation. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

Carbon Nanotubes Field Effect Transistors (CNFETs) have shown numerous advantages over conventional Metal Oxide Semiconductor FETs (MOSFETs) and CMOS in terms of decreased short channel effect, lower power consumption and high performance. As the transistor channel length shortens to below 10 nm in length, short channel effects, such as drain-induced barrier lowering and velocity saturation, becomes prominent, which negatively impact transistor performance and reliability. As CNFETs do not show scaling issues, CNFETs based digital circuit designs, such as adder and multiplier, can possibly show better results in terms of power consumption and propagation delay. Multiplication operation is a crucial operation whose application ranges from computing convolution to fast fourier transform. Hence, it is important to have an efficient architecture and high-performance multiplier. Array multipliers, Wallace and Booth's multipliers are some of the existing multipliers. One approach to perform high-performance multiplication is through the Vedic Multiplier, whose algorithm reduces delay and power consumption. Many of the pre-existing Vedic multipliers implementations techniques such as MUX based adder, Carry select adder, Hybrid 13T Full Adder rely on CMOS technology for their implementation which brings the challenges like short channel effect while scaling of CMOS transistors. Because CNFETs do not show scaling issues the performance of Vedic multiplier can be improved using CNFETs. this paper proposes a 4∗4-bit Vedic Multiplier using 32nm CNFET Technology. the proposed implementation is simulated using HSPICE simulation tool, CosmosScope (cscope) software and Stanford CNFET Model file. the delay and power consumption parameters are measured for various supply voltages. Moreover, the comparative analysis of the aforementioned parameters has also been done by changing the chirality of the transistors. © 2023 IEEE.

In this paper, the human factors reliability of standard HUD and adaptive HUD is evaluated by comprehensively using behavioral indicators and physiological indicators. A 3-factor multi-level hybrid experiment (HUD mode mission environment repetition times) was used to explore the load difference and performance difference between adaptive HUD and traditional HUD in different flight stages and different flight duration during flight. the results show that compared with the traditional HUD, the adaptive HUD system can significantly reduce the mental load of pilots in the takeoff and approach landing phases, and in the case of long-term flight, the adaptive HUD system will not cause additional burden to the subjects. this research article proposes a new eye-hand coordination assessment tool that was created using Python. the application utilizes the Pygame module to develop the graphical user interface (GUI) to display objects. the tool integrates visual information by utilizing an image background and dynamically positioned eye-shaped objects, resulting in an engaging user experience. the utilization of pseudo-randomized coordinates, created by the Random library, enhances the unpredictability of object placement, hence increasing the level of complexity in the assessment. the Time module is utilized to analyze time-related occurrences, facilitating precise recording of response times during user engagements. An appropriate platform for the evaluation is provided by a GUI window with dimensions of 1200 × 600 pixels. this allows for smooth presentation of feedback and metrics. the wide variety of performance data, such as response time, accuracy, x-axis and y-axis offsets, and the number of tests, enables a quantitative evaluation of eye-hand coordination abilities. Results are stored on the console, enabling immediate feedback and further analysis. these findings indicate that those with quicker response times generally achieve greater levels of accuracy, offering vital understanding of the relationship between speed and precision. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

this manuscript proposes a modeling and critical analysis of multiple-inputs, multiple-outputs (MIMO) applied to a series hybrid electric vehicle (SHEV) power-train composed by coupled bidirectional dc/dc and ac/dc converters. the model outputs are obtained as linear combinations of the inputs through a steady-state gain matrix, whose elements are functions of the electrical parameters of the SHEV. the mathematical solution is validated by simulations of a load profile taken into account the mechanical power calculation obtained from the vehicle dynamics. the developed representation allows the designers a more reliable analysis of the dynamic behavior considering the state variables of the power train electrical system, which enables the design of control systems and power converters sizing. © 2023 IEEE.

this paper is a comprehensive review that explores the evolution and future potential of compact Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) in addressing the pressing need for effective wastewater management. With the increasing urbanization and industrialization, traditional centralized sewage systems face challenges such as space constraints, high infrastructure costs, and inefficiencies in treatment processes. Compact STPs emerge as a viable alternative, offering advantages in ease of operation, adaptability, and customization to local needs. the paper discusses various technologies employed in compact STPs, including Biocarbon Aerated Filters (BAF), Green Roof Models, and advancements in nanotechnology and hydrothermal carbonization. these innovations enhance the efficiency of wastewater treatment by reducing biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), chemical oxygen demand (COD), and microbe levels, thereby contributing to environmental protection and resource recovery. the analysis also emphasizes the significance of proper design, maintenance, and scalability of compact STPs to meet future demands. this comprehensive review underscores the critical role of compact STPs in sustainable urban development and environmental conservation. © 2024 IEEE.

Data-driven analysis and machine learning for energy prediction in distributed photovoltaic generation plants: A case study in Queensland, Australia

Understanding patterns and energy-related data in photovoltaic systems is one of the key tasks in energy generation and distribution. In fact, the use of data-driven tools and predictive learning models can support the government, power regulatory agencies, and the energy industry in improving their decision-making and operational activities. Bering this in mind, this paper presents a case study of data-driven analysis and machine learning to forecast the energy charge in the distributed photovoltaic power grid of Queensland, in Australia. Our analysis relies on a freely, open energy tracking platform and the design of three Machine Learning approaches built on the basis of Random Forest, Support Vector Machines, and Gradient Boosting methods. Experimental results with real data showed that the trained models allow for very consistent predictions while reaching a high forecasting accuracy (around 95%-93% in Generated-Exported prediction, respectively). Moreover, it was found that the Gradient Boosting-based model ensures robust behavior and low prediction errors, as endorsed by quality validation metrics. Another technical aspect observed is that the variables artificially created to boost the models substantially improve the post-analysis and overall accuracy of the results. (C) 2021 the Author(s). this paper studies a multi-modal robotic system referred to as a flying+sailing drone with the consideration of six degrees of freedom (6-DoF) for flying and 5-DoF for sailing, i.e., a twelve-dimensional state space for flying and a ten-dimensional state space for sailing. Key characteristics of hybrid systems emerging in tasks involving both flying and sailing are (i) changes in the dimension of the state space as the system switches from flying to sailing and vice versa, (ii) the presence of autonomous switchings triggered upon the landing of the drone on the water surface, and (iii) non-identity jumps in the state upon switching. For the scenario in which the drone's initial state is in the flying mode and a fixed terminal state is specified in the sailing mode, the associated optimal control problems are studied for the minimization of time and the minimization of the control effort. the necessary optimality conditions are obtained from the Hybrid Minimum Principle (HMP), and the associated numerical simulations are presented. © 2024 the Authors. this is an open access article under the CC BY-NC-ND license.
