the paper entails creating a low-power current reference circuit that uses a Beta Multiplier circuit to provide a constant PTAT(proportional to absolute temperature) current of 1nA. the circuit runs in the weak inversion area and lacks a resistor, instead employing three parallel PMOS with optimized W/L values. Monte Carlo analysis is used to investigate the performance of the circuit in relation to process parameters and threshold voltage. To predict the current value, a machine learning model utilizing Support Vector Regressor (SVR) is created, and its accuracy is measured by comparing the predicted values to the actual values using mean squared error. the goal of our work is to design an efficient low-power circuit that can be used in a variety of analog and mixed-mode systems. © 2023 IEEE.

With development of urban rail transit, interlocking between train doors and platform doors has been gradually achieved under CBTC and FAO modes. this article provides with emphasis the scenario analysis, requirement analysis, scheme design, information flow and interface design among systems for a scheme of aligned isolation between a signaling system and a platform control system as well as a rolling stock system in case of faults of train doors or platform doors or in case of manual isolation or when a platform door or train door has not been properly aligned during opening/closing. this offers reference for operational maintenance and/or design of interlocking schemes of signaling integration for newly-built, existing, and under-construction lines. the scheme has been used in Hangzhou Lines 6 and 7 with a CBTC system as well as Ningbo Line 5 with an FAO system. the customers respond that the application effect of this scheme is good. © 2023 IEEE.

theworld is currently confrontingmany environmental problems, such as global warming, air pollution and plastic pollution. Human impact on the environment has been increasing over the decades. Governments are trying to change the way large companies and industries think about the consequences of their actions and force them to become more environmentally friendly. As a result, we are witnessing an increase in the popularity of eco-design. One technique used to prevent environmental crisis is life cycle assessment (LCA). IT systems have become crucial tools for assessing the life cycle of a product's environmental impact. they make it possible to perform a thorough analysis of the entire life cycle of a product and learn about its environmental impact. the purpose of this article is to compare two systems for performing environmental analysis of the entire product life cycle: GaBi and SimaPro. the simplicity of the preparation of life cycle models and the results of environmental analysis were evaluated. In order to compare the functionality of the two systems, it was decided to model the selected product, which was a prosthesis made of PLA using additive technology. the study performed in both systems also makes it possible to determine whether the choice of an IT tool for performing environmental analysis of a product has a significant impact on the results of this analysis.

the Paper discusses the analysis of the components of the Remotely Operated Underwater Vehicle while specifying the challenges and difficulties like latency in power and data that can arise while operating the ROV via the tether which undergoes dynamic modelling for its maximum optimization of work by considering the parameters that can affect the maneuverability of the vehicle and also on the structural frame which is designed with an appropriate material that can further make the vehicle efficient due to its properties like light weight that can reduce the required buoyancy and also corrosion resistance. A deep focus is also made into the specific applications like industrial deep-sea mining for which the ROVs are a huge addition for it replaces the risk of manned exploration and ease of finding ore hotspots which can be detected by the onboard sensors. A further advancement of the ROV is by making it autonomous without human assistance. the field of ROV design and deployment is one which huge scope for research and sustainable growth. © 2023 IEEE.

Balancing a mechanical system against gravity enables the system to be stable in all its configurations, which, in turn, allows small and inexpensive actuators to move it. A fully gravity-balanced mechanism requires its total potential energy to remain constant for all the configurations. Common techniques for gravity balancing include the use of zero free-length springs or the manipulation of the center of masses. this paper is specifically concerned with designing gravity-balanced systems using zero free-length springs such that each link employs a single spring. We present a novel graphical approach to design gravity balanced systems, referred to as the "Spring Locus". this approach employs loci to quickly determine the attachment locations of zero free-length springs to satisfy the criterion of maintaining constant total potential energy within the system, thus achieving a fully balanced system against gravity. the advantage of this approach is that the spring parameters can be determined graphically without the use of Lagrangian mechanics, Newtonian mechanics, or computer optimizations and allows intuitive visualization of the design space. this approach is thus expected to lower the barrier for designing gravity balanced systems. We illustrate this approach through studies of general planar open-chain linkages that are articulated by revolute joints and balanced with a single spring for each link. Our theoretical analysis was verified through simulations, followed by a physical experiment. this simple graphical approach can be a useful tool for engineers and educators.

Continuously variable filter based on Fabry-Perot interference was studied in the paper. A thin film interference signal transmission model whose spectral characteristics are continuously variable with spatial direction was established. According to the design specifications of continuously variable thin film filter with wide band and high dispersion coefficient, and were selected as high and low refractive index materials respectively, the TFCalc thin film design software was used to optimize the design of narrowband filter film by the variable metric method, and the cascade mode of symmetric film stacks with different center wavelengths was used to design broadband cut-off film to broaden the cut-off band. the designed formula has a continuously varying film thickness distribution along the spatial direction of the substrate, so that the center wavelength of the bandpass filter at each position along the spatial direction of the filter is linearly distributed. the designed filter can obtain a spectral gradient of 650-1050nm within the effective working region of 12mm, and the linear dispersion coefficient is 33.33nm/mm. the single-piece integrated multi-channel filtering is realized, which fully meets the requirements of miniaturization, wide working band and high spectral efficiency. © 2023 IEEE.

Numerous security threats, such as sinkhole attacks, tampering attacks, and denial-of-service (DoS) assaults, are present in wireless sensor networks (WSNs). thus, it is essential to design an effective system in order to identify and detect these assaults in WSNs in a timely manner. this article performs a thorough examination of several standard models used to identify intrusions in network environments. Features like statistical, higher order statistical features and technical indicators are considered in this analysis for the effective extraction of relevant features. then, the conventional classifiers like Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), Neural Network (NN), Support Vector Machine (SVM), Recurrent Neural Network (RNN), and Deep Belief Network (DBN) is deployed and analysed with respect to the extracted features. At last, the conventional techniques are analyzed with varied feature combinations. By investigating these models, we hope to gain a better grasp of their strengths and limitations, opening the door for the creation of WSN intrusion detection systems (IDS's) that are more successful. this research also adds significant insights to the continuing efforts intended at guaranteeing the security and dependability of WSNs across diverse applications and domains by illuminating the subtleties of intrusion detection models. © 2024 IEEE.

Liquid crystal elastomers (LCEs) are a novel class of polymer networks with tunable, anisotropic mechanical properties that can be programmed through applied strain, and have demonstrated advantages for actuation, energy absorption and reconfigurable microstructures. Uniaxial tensile strain is often applied to polydomain LCE systems to achieve monodomain director orientations and program new, spatially uniform material properties. In this study, we investigate the ability to embed non-uniform LCE stiffness distributions by harnessing the spatially varying strain fields of post-buckled beam deformations. We demonstrate the post-buckling-based strain programming with a class of tilted, bistable beams that have utility in a range of architected materials. the behavior of these strain-programmed structures is evaluated with a finite element analysis with spatially varying mechanical properties by scaling the shear modulus in a elementwise fashion within a Neo-Hookean material model. A parameter sweep of beam geometry and loading conditions revealed relationships between beam geometry, LCE programming, and the resulting effects on postbuckled shape of the beam during buckling. In particular, the study highlights that while geometry is a dominant factor for buckling behavior, transition points exist in this beam design space where modest, non-uniform changes in stiffness distribution can switch the direction of buckling. Collectively, the study motivates the exploration of alternative strain-to-stiffness map- pings to amplify this effect of non-uniform stiffness programming, and the development of experimental systems to validate this buckling-based, strain programming concept.

this work focuses on the assessment of safety and energy performance of an ACC-equipped electric vehicle under different driving conditions. Variability in vehicle dynamics and ACC settings introduces complexities in analysing the performance of the considered system. To address this challenge, an evaluation methodology that integrates stochastic simulation with the PAWN sensitivity technique is employed. this approach enables the evaluation of the impact of variations in driving conditions on both safety and energy efficiency. the extensive analysis denotes and quantifies the effect of driving condition variables on the performance of the vehicle. Results also prove that different goals (safety and consumption) are affected by different variables. the outcome of such operation is crucial for optimizing ACC system design and operation to enhance both safety and energy efficiency in electric vehicles. © 2024 IEEE.

Currently, there is a lot of data being produced due to the proliferation of internet-connected devices and applications, making it increasingly difficult to safeguard and maintain privacy. In addition, the network now includes numerous devices with limited resources, thanks to emerging technologies like the Internet of things. To tackle this issue, trustworthy cryptographic techniques must be used, and they must be efficiently implemented on resource-constrained devices. To protect wireless networks, hardware implementations of cryptographic techniques are common. these implementations offer strong security performance while minimizing processing and energy costs. However, they are vulnerable to side-channel attacks, unlike conventional systems. Particularly, fault attacks have demonstrated their effectiveness in cracking various strong hardware-based symmetric and asymmetric encryption techniques. Typically, FPGAs cannot incorporate a limitless number of logical resources into a single package, and design optimizations are necessary to achieve optimal performance and resource efficiency within these constraints. Using VHDL, an artificial neural network (ANN) can be implemented on an FPGA. © 2023 IEEE.
