In today's increasing globalization in a competitive environment, supply chains (SCs) are exposed to vulnerability and risk events occurrence. In the complexity of the involved network supply chain network design (SCND) needs to be managed in an efficient way. this paper presents a mixed integer linear programming (MILP) model for the SCND problem that handles economic, environmental, and risk objectives. Economic aims are considered by minimizing the overall costs of the whole SC. Environmental consideration is achieved by incorporating gas emissions into the SCND as a sustainability dimension. Risk modeling has been considered in the SCND model as the network is sensitive to risks and disruptions. the paper aims to develop a model attempting to determine a trade-off between the total costs associated with the SCN, encompassing the disruption risk costs that occur in one or more nodes of the SCN. To evaluate the disruption risks, a Belief Bayesian Network (BBN) model has been developed to predict and assess the risk factors and sub-factors marginal probabilities. A belief propagation analysis is used and applied in an automotive case study to draw meaningful managerial insights and discover the most sensitive factors and sub-factors that impact the SC. the findings demonstrate the utility of BBN model in identifying the factors and their sub-factors that have the greatest impact on the SC disruption risks. the proposed model will serve managers to predict the disruption risks to develop mitigation strategies and strategic plans to manage disruption risks and damage related to SCND. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

the purpose of this paper is to design and implement a gear parameter measurement system based on HALCON. Taking standard involute gears as measurement objects, machine vision technology replaces traditional artificial vision measurement, which improves the efficiency and accuracy of gear detection, and reduces the influence of measurement errors and subjective judgment. A set of image acquisition platform is designed, which can easily obtain high-quality images of gears and provide a solid foundation for subsequent analysis. With HALCON image processing and analysis function, a set of image processing program is designed, which can automatically detect and extract the key geometric parameters of gears, including tooth number, modulus, etc., and display the measurement results intuitively. through the experimental verification, the system shows a high degree of reliability in identifying the parameters of standard gears, and the measurement accuracy is in line with expectations. the experimental results show that the system can not only provide stable measurement performance, but also have high measurement accuracy, which provides a reference for the detection of gear parameters.

Due to the competition in the new energy vehicle market and the increase in consumer demand, the NVH (noise, vibration and harshness) performance of electric vehicles has become an important research work. Firstly, aiming at the NVH problem of a new pure electric vehicle three-in-one electric drive assembly, the main excitation source and main transmission path of vibration and noise of electric drive assembly are analyzed. then, a multi-physics coupling method is established to predict and optimize its NVH performance. It includes stator structure optimization; Dynamic stiffness characteristics and material optimization of rotary and electronic control plates and design optimization of damping. Finally, experiments are carried out to verify the optimization effect of this method on the noise of electric drive assembly. through the comparison of the order slices of typical order noise, it is observed that the 22th order of the first gear of the reducer, the 5.94th order of the second gear and the 8th order, 24th order and 48th order of the motor vibration noise are significantly reduced under the WOT working condition, and the NVH performance of the vehicle is significantly improved. this method has certain reference value for improving NVH performance.

this manuscript proposes an ultra-wideband circular ring-type planar microstrip patch antenna with a partial ground plane. the antenna achieves an impedance bandwidth of approximately 38.1 GHz, encompassing a frequency range of 36.517–74.624 GHz. the presented radiator attains a fractional bandwidth of 68.57%, with a peak gain of 5.64 dBi, cover FR-II NR frequency bands n259 (39.50–43.50 GHz), n262 (47.20–48.20 GHz), n263 (57–71 GHz), and n260 (37–40 GHz). the proposed antenna is modeled on dielectric material Taconic (TLY-5) with a dielectric constant (Εr) 2.2, a substrate width of 0.51 mm, and a loss tangent of 0.0009. the suggested element features a compact size with substrate dimensions of 10 × 6.30 mm2, exhibiting a quasi-omnidirectional radiation pattern with a maximum radiation efficiency of 96%. the simulation results, including return loss and VSWR, have been validated using CST Microwave Studio and Ansys HFSS, showing close agreement. this indicates that the proposed antenna is a strong candidate for 5G mmWave FR-II NR V-band and Ka-band wireless applications. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Breast ultrasound (BUS) imaging techniques have become efficient tools for cancer diagnosis. Convolutional neural network (CNN) based encoder-decoder architectures have been widely used for the automated segmentation of tumours in BUS images, assisting in breast cancer diagnoses. However, these models have limitations in capturing long-range dependencies. To overcome this limitation, various deep learning techniques, such as atrous convolution, attention mechanisms, and transformer encoder-based models, have been introduced to capture long-range dependencies in feature maps, improving segmentation accuracy by considering larger receptive fields and global context. As modelling techniques evolve, there is a shift towards more complex and intricate designs. this study proposes a simple yet effective model that combines UNet and Global Convolutional Network (GCN) architectures for breast lesion segmentation. By leveraging the GCN block, our model captures broader receptive fields with a simpler design strategy. We have demonstrated the efficacy of our approach through various experiments, including kernel size analysis, model component evaluation, and data preprocessing assessment. the proposed model has been evaluated using four-fold cross-validation with BUSI and Dataset-B datasets. Additionally, models trained on both datasets have been validated with a blind test dataset, where our model demonstrates better performance compared to state-of-the-art methods, achieving a 4.9% and 6.7% improvement in Intersection over Union (IoU) score, respectively. the robustness analysis and external validation experiments underscore the superior generalization performance of our model in breast lesion segmentation tasks. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

this paper provides a detailed and concise view of a single layered, flexible metasurface (MS)-based slot type dual bandpass filter for ISM and cellular 5G bands. the unit cell of the MS structure comprises three different slots designed on a flexible jeans substrate. the proposed structure provides two distinct transmission bands at 2.4 GHz and 4.5 GHz respectively. Additionally, one stop-band has also been realized at 3.2 GHz; thereby making the structure suitable for wearable antenna applications. analysis of the structure under varying incident angles is done to find the stable performance of the structure up to 45⁰. the electric field distributions have been studied to understand the functions of the different slots in the MS design. Such low-profile, along with the compact design makes the structure suitable for being a wearable spatial filter. All the simulations of the work, along with the results have been performed and analysed using ANSYS HFSS v2024.

A novel low-profile antenna, designed for operation in the millimeter-wave frequencies in WBANs at 32.5 GHz, is presented. Optimized to be compact in a form factor of approximately 7 × 10 mm with height 0.79mm for body-worn devices, which is a crucial area with vast space constraints, it has an efficiency for short-distance optical interactions in wearables that do not allow rough wireless performances. this is the small size of the antenna that allows it to support high-speed and low-latency communication; hence, it can be used for real-time data transfer in WBANs. this design contributes to wearable technology advancement by achieving a balance between performance, energy efficiency, and compactness for a wide range of applications, including health, fitness, and smart wearable devices.

the CBR and subgrade modulus of soil are important parameters used in the design of flexible pavements. In the study, the plate load test and CBR test have been simulated numerically using finite element (FE) based program Plaxis 2D. An axisymmetric condition has been used in the analysis. the soil behavior has been considered as linear elastic. the same variation in the value of Young’s modulus of soil has been adopted in both FE simulations to evaluate the relationship between the modulus of subgrade reaction and CBR. the comparisons of results show a linear relationship between modulus of subgrade reaction and CBR. It is relatively easier to perform CBR test on soil samples in comparison to the plate load test and hence the proposed relationship between CBR and modulus of the subgrade reaction can be used in the design of flexible pavements. Modulus of the subgrade reaction can be predicted using the proposed relation and for the given CBR value of the soil. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Power amplifiers are important in today's wireless communication systems. this paper describes the design, tuning, and performance optimization of a class-AB power amplifier operating in the 3.7 GHz – 4.2 GHz frequency range with an output power of 40 dBm at a gain of about 10 dB. A Wolfspeed CGH40010F GaN HEMT transistor, which operates from DC with a 28V supply, is employed in the amplifier's design to satisfy the specifications. Using the transistor nonlinear simulation model created by Cree Inc., an amplifier is designed and simulated in Keysight Advanced design System (ADS) software. Keeping the issues of linearity and efficiency in mind, the biasing point is chosen for the class AB configuration. In biasing, the drain current is 48 mA and the gate-source voltage is −3.05 V. the frequency range for the design is chosen based on applications. then, the stability analysis of the transistor is performed. the simulation results also show that the transistor becomes broadband stable when a resistor is added to its input side. Source-pull and load-pull simulation is used to extract source and load impedances for optimal power and efficiency. From the perspectives of efficiency and linearity, the installed PA performs exceptionally well across the entire frequency range. According to the simulation, the RF PA's flat gain fluctuated between 8.19 dB and 10.90 dB for the frequency range of 3.7 GHz to 4.2 GHz. At 3.8 GHz, the maximum power added efficiency (PAE) was found to be 64.52%, while the maximum drain efficiency is simulated to reach 67.78% at an output power of nearly 40 dBm.

With the growing deployment of the Smart Integration Routing System (SIRS), ensuring system security has become a pressing challenge. Internal failures and external traffic attacks significantly impact system robustness, while the complexity of SIRS routing devices complicates anomaly detection and root cause analysis. To address these challenges, this paper proposes a comprehensive anomaly detection and prediction framework for SIRS traffic data, focusing on the critical network traffic. Furthermore, the Knowledge Graph Convolutional Network (KGCN) is employed for root cause localization, enabling the identification of complex, non-Euclidean relationships between anomalies and their causes. this study provides a robust and scalable solution for anomaly detection, prediction, and root cause localization in the Smart Integration Routing System, significantly improving its security, maintainability, and resilience against dynamic threats.
