With its precise and adaptable scanning technique, phased array radar has been extensively used in both military and civilian applications since its introduction. Phased array radar technology is simultaneously evolving toward technology, shrinking, and integration. the beam control unit, which is unquestionably a major component, surely has the same development trend. the development of the wave control code algorithm and hardware circuit design for a centralized wave control system based on the FPGA Cordic algorithm are presented in this work. Currently, the FPGA control board is used for the hardware board-level verification test, and error analysis is done by comparing the hardware verification results with Matlab computation results. © 2023 IEEE.

A research work is being carried out on Micro grid system operation and control. Also, analysis, design and implementation of laboratory scale Micro Grid (MG) are much optimized work for the researchers. It is well documented in many publications, literatures and group discussions about the design analysis, battery design issues, design of Inverter, and Buck converter problem. the actual implementation of MG laboratory test bed leads to different issues mentioned earlier and has to overcome by doing actual software simulation before implementation. the scheme MG comprises of Solar PV panel, Wind Turbine, Energy Storage, Converter, Inverter, Charge Controller and several electrical loads which are fed through a Voltage Source Inverter (VSI).the Inverter which is proposed here is with PWM control with Proportional Resonant (PR) Controller. Whenever some disturbances occur in the system, Static Transfer Switch (STS) has to open & should isolate the Utility and MG within a very short duration. By this time the Distributed Energy Sources (DERs) is able to supply to the connected load maintains the good voltage regulation. Now, the DERs must deliver the power to connected loads and when fault clears and system is healthy, the MG should be able to re-synchronize with utility grid smoothly from Islanding mode of operation. the designed MG lab test bed will be undergone the different analysis about Total Harmonic Distortion (thD), transient behavior and other analysis regarding power system such as improvement of Power Factor on load side. By the use of DERs in the MG topology it is very beneficial to the environment as there is massive use of Renewable Energy Resources (RES). © 2023 IEEE.

Real time stress detection during physical activity using wearable devices is challenging due to presence of extreme noises and baseline drift caused by movement. As, cognitive stress and physical activity causes changes in heart rhythm, it is important to accurately differentiate them for analysing their effects on cardiovascular health. this paper proposes a feature analysis using windowed heart rate variability (HRV) for distinguishing cognitive stress and physical activity. the ECG data obtained from wearable devices is further annotated with corresponding labels. the extracted data is preprocessed to remove baseline wandering and powerline interference by decomposing the signal using discrete wavelet transform for R-peak detection. the annotated preprocessed signals have been segmented into lOs window for R-peak detection to calculate the RR intervals. the time domain and frequency domain features are extracted and analyzed for distinguishing cognitive stress and physical activity. the frequency domain features show significance in distinguishing cognitive stress and physical activity during real time applications. the low-frequency to high-frequency power ratio shows a significant variation between cognitive stress and physical activity with a mean percentage deviation of 52%. the paper presents a study using solar dryer induced with the forced draught design in combination with closed loop circulation of air and also development of lens and analyzing the performance of the dryer for parching edible fruit in varying climatic conditions of Coimbatore, India. the process comprises of components viz., a chamber for drying, solar air heater in flat plate design with the circulation tubes and a programmable microcontroller. the air flow rate for the process has been determined as 0.2058 kg/s. the usage of solar dryer for drying the edible fruit is found to be effective since it reduces the moisture content from 79% according to wet basis and the finalized wet content in the edible fruit is only around 9.65% in a time period of 24 hours. the efficiency of the dryer is to be averaged around 22%. the moisture specification rate is concluded to be about 0.87 kg/kWh. Establishing a model of modified solar dryer is the main objective of the work. © 2022 IEEE.

Lean burn combustion systems of low-emission modern gas turbine engines admit similar to 70-80% of the compressed air through the fuel injector and the remaining air is passed through the liner assembly. the paper focuses on developing an intake geometry to accomplish a 70:30 mass flow split between the injector and liner. A lean burn injector and a liner assembly are developed following the existing design rules and extensive numerical simulations are performed to optimize the combustor assembly. the intake geometry is designed considering different operating parameters such as mass flow split ratio, compressor pressure ratio, liner and injector pressure drop. the pressure drop across the injector is limited as 4% and the liner is optimized for a pressure drop of less than 2% across the annulus of the liner. the diffuser section and intake cowl of the combustor are modified to achieve the required flow velocities through the liner and injector. the topology of the central toroidal recirculation zone and effusion flow velocity field are obtained as per the design requirements. the annular liner passage is modified by providing baffle plates to regulate the mass flow and thereby controlling the mass flow split into the intake section. the intake section is designed such that the required flow split is achieved while keeping the pressure drop and other losses to the minimum. Several geometrical iterations are done until the above goal is achieved. Efforts are currently underway for the experimental validation of the test results.

Fractional-order PID (FOPID) controllers have gained increasing interest in control theory in recent years, mainly to improve the performance and stability of complex systems. FOPID controllers are a generalization of classical PID controllers that have both integral and derivative orders of fractional order. this means that instead of having three tuning parameters as in classical PID, there are two additional degrees of freedom to achieve the control objectives. At the same time, the structure of the PID controller, so valued in industrial applications, is retained. A preferred method for designing FOPID controllers is the use of optimization algorithms. Different objective functions are used, such as the integral of the square error (ISE), the integral of the absolute error (IAE), the integral of the time-weighted absolute error (ITAE) or the integral of the time-weighted square error (ITSE), which must be minimized in order to adjust the five unknown parameters of the FOPID controller. there are several papers discussing different optimization methods and objective functions for different applications, but there are no general recommendations to help engineers choose the right method for their design. the present research compares three of the most well-known nature-inspired optimization techniques from the point of view of a FOPID controller design tool, using all the above enumerated objective functions. the analysis is realized both for processes with large time constants (such as thermal processes) and for dynamic systems (such as mechatronic processes), presenting the advantages and disadvantages of each method.

When the IVC (In Vessel coil) BB (busbar) is energized, a large amount of heat is generated, which is usually cooled by circulating cooling water. this paper introduces the preliminary thermal design of CFETR (China Fusion engineering Test Reactor) busbar cooling water. Due to the large design size of CFETR, longer cooling water pipes are required, which will result in a dramatic increase in pipe pressure drop. AFT Fathom code is used to simulate the whole process. During the numerical calculation, it is found that the pressure drop of the longest 4 busbars channel is too high and higher than the system requirements. therefore, this paper proposes to reduce the pressure drop by dividing the pipe, and the results show that the decompression effect is good, which will provide a new idea for the design of cooling water system of nuclear fusion reactor. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

the topic of Queuing in the Robot Manufacturing Process is explored in this article. Across a large number of organizations and activities, RPA is making new advantages and liberating staff from repeated monotony. Finance, legal, regulatory, client service, marketing, and IT are just a few of the domains where RPA has been employed by enterprises in industries especially with respect services to healthcare to production to the public organizations to retail and beyond. this is only the start. the robotic process automation (RPA) process includes processes such as candidate identification, assessment, prioritization, design, calibration, and evaluation. the aforesaid manufacturing process is approached in this paper utilizing queueing theory. the queueing attitude specifies the manufacturing error and gives the essential thoughts to be sent out in order to reduce manufacturing process disturbances. In addition, this research use queuing theory to address delays and other issues that may develop during the method. Queues can help discover process inefficiencies and generate solutions for reducing resource waste. All other performance indicators, as well as the queue size probability generating function, are calculated for the selected queue research. the theoretical evaluation of queuing theory in Robotic Process Automation Technology is depicted in a numerical and detailed graphic analysis. © 2022 IEEE.

Fluxgate sensor is widely used in new power system due to the advantages of high accuracy and high stability. To facilitate the design of fluxgate sensor structure and analyze its measurement performance, this article builds an electromagnetic co-simulation model based on Ansys and Multisim by designing and simulating fluxgate probe, excitation circuit, and signal processing circuit. Based on the simulation model, sensitivity, linearity and transient response of fluxgate sensor are calculated. Simulation results show that the simulation model can effectively and accurately reflect the performance of fluxgate sensor, which lays a foundation for the actual design and parameter optimization of fluxgate sensor. © 2024 SPIE.

the highway Bridges built in the 1990s and before have increasingly serious diseases, which greatly impair the normal function of the traffic system. In this paper, bridge maintenance measures are dividing into two categories: preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance. Taking the minimum maintenance cost of bridge as the optimization goal, a mathematical model for optimal maintenance decision of highway concrete girder bridge is proposing. the optimal maintenance time and maintenance method of the concrete main girder and pier in the design service life of the case bridge are obtaining by using genetic algorithm of Matlab software. © 2024 SPIE.
