this paper presents the design of a thermode for a single-board microcontroller (STM32) for the purpose of providing quantitative sensory testing (QST) with a quantitative sensory analysis (QSA) of temperature stimuli. the objective of this study was to provide the subjects with precise temperature stimulation within the QST. To enhance the precision and stability of temperature control, the design employed a fuzzy adaptive PID control strategy, which was then compared to the traditional PID control strategy. the experimental findings demonstrated that the fuzzy adaptive PID control exhibited a slightly slower initial response rate than the traditional PID control. However, it demonstrated superior performance in maintaining temperature regulation with minimal overshoot and enhanced stability, ultimately achieving a temperature control range of ±0.04℃. the results demonstrated that the traditional PID control strategy exhibited a larger overshoot and greater variability in the steady state, whereas the fuzzy adaptive PID control strategy exhibited superior temperature control performance within a temperature range of 4℃. the findings suggest that the fuzzy adaptive PID control strategy can significantly enhance the temperature control capability of the thermal stimulation probe, providing a more stable and reliable temperature environment for QST, which in turn improves the accuracy of the measurement results. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

In modern Very-Large-Scale Integration (VLSI) technology, managing information loss is a critical challenge. Conventional logic gates, such as AND, OR, and NOT, are prone to data loss during operations, reducing their efficiency for sophisticated applications. Reversible logic gates, which have an equal number of inputs and outputs, offer a solution by preserving data integrity. this paper presents the design and FPGA implementation of an efficient and high-speed full adder circuit utilizing reversible logic gates, namely Feynman, Toffoli, and Peres gates. the design focuses on improving computational efficiency and thermal performance. An analysis of the circuit's quantum cost, garbage outputs, and ancillary inputs reveals its advantages over traditional designs. Proposed design has been realized using Verilog and Synthesize and simulations performed using Xilinx Vivado and Xilinx ISE tools, confirms the functionality and efficiency of the proposed full adder. FPGA implementation of the design has been done using NEXYS A7 (Artix 7 series). the results show that the circuit has a quantum cost of 10, with two garbage outputs and one ancillary input, underscoring its potential for use in low-power, high-performance computing systems and quantum computing applications. © 2025 IEEE.

Building an operation and maintenance system for teaching buildings that integrates"three-dimensional visualization" and"digital informatization" is essential for realizing a smart campus. To address the limitations of current systems in real-time monitoring and visualization, this study integrates Internet of things (IoT) technology with WebGIS three-dimensional visualization techniques to develop an operation and maintenance management system, taking the teaching building of the School of Computer Science at Qinghai University as a case study. the system achieves real-time data collection and dynamic monitoring through IoT devices, and integrates multiple functions, including live three-dimensional model display, indoor and outdoor environmental monitoring, fire alarm and early warning, classroom and equipment management, security monitoring, and energy consumption analysis. this system not only facilitates the transformation of traditional teaching buildings into smart and information-based infrastructure, but also provides operational staff with efficient and intelligent management tools. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Cyber security threats to power systems are constantly evolving, and traditional security protection means are difficult to cope with new and complex attacks. this paper proposes a global situational awareness system for IT terminals based on artificial intelligence, which realizes real-time monitoring and early warning of IT terminals and networks through intelligent analysis and active defense. the system adopts a global data collection method to comprehensively monitor user operational behavior and network traffic through a user behavior data collection tool based on browser plug-ins and a network traffic collection tool based on agent software. To address the issues of user operational behavior deviation and network traffic security, the system introduces a user behavior analysis model based on graph matching algorithm and a network security situational awareness model, which can effectively identify abnormal user behavior and potential risks of the power grid, and significantly improve the system response capability. the system has been applied in the power grid industry and has shown excellent protection effects in the complex and changing network environment. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

With the rapid development of artificial intelligence technology, intelligent search assistant has become a key tool to improve the efficiency of information retrieval. this paper presents a design and implementation scheme of intelligent search assistant based on artificial intelligence-generated Content (AIGC) and robotic process automation (RPA). By integrating natural language processing (NLP) technology, the system realizes accurate understanding and intelligent analysis of user queries, and uses RPA technology to automate search tasks, which can quickly understand user query intentions and provide accurate search results. the experimental results show that the intelligent search assistant is superior to the traditional search tools in terms of information retrieval speed and accuracy, and provides users with an efficient means of information acquisition in the era of information explosion. the core of design lies in the acquisition and application of knowledge. Knowledge push technology can effectively improve the utilization efficiency of knowledge by designers, thus enabling more efficient task completion. To address the current challenges in debugging process design, including insufficient knowledge management and the dynamic demand for knowledge, this paper proposes a knowledge push method tailored for the debugging process design of complex electronic products. By constructing a knowledge graph for debugging processes and utilizing a semantic similarity-based push algorithm, the method intelligently identifies knowledge needs during the design process, achieving precise knowledge delivery. On this basis, a prototype system supporting knowledge push for complex electronic product debugging design was developed. Taking the debugging process design of an elevator drive system as an example, the method has been proven to effectively improve design efficiency. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

With the rapid advancement of e-learning platforms, especially Learning Management systems (LMS), there have been increasing issues in achieving a seamless user experience. Although LMS are becoming integrated into the traditional education system, they often fail to meet the expectations of students and lecturers, which causes the dissatisfaction and frustration. this study examines the usability of the LMS at Mae Fah Luang University by applying both traditional System Usability Scale (SUS) surveys and refined biometric usability testing, using facial expression analysis and respiratory data collection. these dual techniques ensure to uncover the deeper knowledge into the emotion and cognitive states of the users while they are interacting with the LMS. the SUS survey showed the navigation issues and user interface (UI) complexity, with the poor usability score of 55. Biometric data analysis then emphasized and validated these findings, by revealing the negative emotions together with fluctuated respiratory patterns. SUS and biometric approach to usability testing focus on requirements of implementing an intuitive and user-friendly LMS design to improve the learning experience of the students. Recommendations encompass the information visibility, clear navigation paths and timely notification to improve overall usability of LMS. © 2025 IEEE.

the bi-directional bending deformation of the lens-type space deployable boom (LSDB), with high specific stiffness and high storage ratio, is prone to result in structural damage during folding and unfolding process. Mechanical analysis models of the LSDB are established based on theoretical equivalence and finite element method, and comparative verification is conducted. the influence of design parameters such as lay-up angle, arc radius, and material thickness on the stress and folded strain energy of LSDBs is analyzed. the results show that the simulation analysis is close to the theoretical calculation results, which can basically validate the rationality of models. the stress of LSDB in the folded state decreases with the increase of arc radius, increases with the increase of material thickness, and the influence of lay-up angle on stress has symmetry and is affected by the proportion of arc radius to coller radius. the folded strain energy increases with the increase of material thickness, decreases with the increase of roller radius and arc radius, the influence of lay-up angle on strain energy also has symmetry, and there exists an optimal angle that minimizes the strain energy. the analysis conclusion can provide design references for improving the strength and deployment performance of the LSDB. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Photonic crystals (PhCs), with their periodic dielectric structures and unique light-controlling capabilities, are essential in contemporary photonics for applications like waveguides, filters, and resonant cavities. Traditional computational techniques for PhC analysis and design are often time-consuming and demanding. Machine learning (ML) offers efficient and scalable alternatives in this field. this review examines ML models, such as artificial neural networks (ANNs) and generative adversarial networks (GANs), in PhC design and analysis. ANNs forecast optical properties like effective mode area, dispersion relations, and confinement losses, reducing computation time. GANs generate innovative PhC designs and tackle complex optimization challenges. Despite obstacles like overfitting and dataset constraints, these models show potential in streamlining PhC research. this paper explores the methodologies, achievements, and limitations of these ML models, emphasizing their role in advancing photonic device design and optimization. As innovation continues, ML is set to revolutionize PhC research, enabling rapid prototyping and new opportunities in photonics. © 2025 IEEE.

Xiamen H University’s adoption of the Future Education System V4.0 for the final assessment of"Fundamentals of Computer Science" implements paperless examinations, reducing the burden on teachers. However, the system has deficiencies in batch automatic correction and student learning status analysis, and does not adapt well to varying screen resolutions. To address these issues, this study utilizes Python to develop an automatic scoring tool for the existing system, designed to adapt to various screen resolutions. the tool employs a layered architecture to create an efficient and stable automatic scoring solution, integrating functions such as parameter setting, automatic scoring, grade analysis, and file renaming. this tool enhances the efficiency and accuracy of marking work, enables a comprehensive assessment of students’ mastery of computer course content, and improves the system’s user-friendliness, providing a new approach to examination and assessment methods in the education field during the digital transformation process. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).
